lolwat Brawl was a busted and broken piece of godawful shit compared to Melee, even at purely casual play the game was way too slow and floaty. Though in the end, I feel Project M is the best permutation of Smash though Brawl- is pretty damn funny too if only because everyone is BBCT-Top-Tier-levels of hilariously retarded

To mainstream gamers Blazblue is weird as fuck: >Magic Loli >Lollipop-loving catgirl scientist with a nuke fetish >Crazy dude literally in love with his brother >Squirrel-Chick who wears practically nothing >Fabulous man who looks like a chick and fights with drill-scarves >Vampire loli Man that's not even half the cast.

>New arcade in SA Holy shit, after Gamewerks died I'd never think a new arcade would appear. Besides FG's, what other kinds of games do they have? Or it mostly FG's?

It may be pretty big but compared to consoles it's not as big as them. And in Japan it's basically nonexistent. The domestic market matters the most to ASW. I'm amazed CT ever showed up on Windows in all honesty.

I play Platinum because I like little girls. ...Uh, yeah. I like her playstyle too. I picked Nu as well because her drive's concept (throwing out psuedo-long range weapons) appealed to me as well. I tend to gravitate towards characters who are offense-orientated but not completely rushdown. I also love zoning people so that's why I play Rachel sometimes. I might drop Nu for CP and stick with Rachel and Plat.

BlazBlue Calamity Trigger - How has it aged?
Agni replied to SkagMaster's topic in BlazBlue Gameplay
The thing about CT is that, like all first iterations of an FG series, it was hilariously retarded. The first game in an FG series is always charming, because shit is usually broken 3 ways to Tuesday and the entire experience is dumb yet amazing. For another example of this, see UNIB even though that's not a series yet. -
And? PC ports aren't even that expensive. As a guy about to build a gaming PC I'd love to see CSEX and CP on Steam. And Xrd too for that matter--given that the PS4 is gonna be using X86 code, porting it to the PC will be incredibly cheap and easy. But PC gaming is even smaller in Japan than it is in the west, so I don't expect to see anything soon.

Dengeki FIGHTING CLIMAX: Announced at TGS.
Agni replied to InWithTheAshes's topic in Misc Fighter Central
Dude they have goddamn Kirino as a playable character. Plus unexpected characters are always fun. I mean, come on. They had Valkenhyn to use as inspiration, even! -
Dengeki FIGHTING CLIMAX: Announced at TGS.

If Emi is the Hataraku Maou-Sama playable rep I am gonna flip a fucking table. Please be Suzuno. And on another note who was crazy enough to make Holo a support? Jesus fuck what. -

>Holo, Maou-Sama YEAAAA- >Support only Hype dropped faster than I drop combos. What the fuck. -
That was supposed to lead into my next statement but I worded it poorly. Not...quite sure what you mean by that, but I personally find all the fanservice in this game to be gratuitous and distracting, and that includes the obnoxiously bouncing boobs. I like the designs of most of the assist girls more than the playable ones because at least those lolis don't have massive jigglies. I'm amazed he put it out for free. Just the art alone is gorgeous. I can't imagine how much work he had to put into it. Though, I'm not a fan of slower, more SF-like games. I don't think the stages are cluttered, but having four characters on screen at once all the time, especially with how damn detailed they all are, can make the game feel cluttered at times (unless that's what you meant by "horribly cluttered stages")
-
This game is beautiful, but I have a feeling it's almost TOO fluid (in regards to animation). All those boob jiggles are just plain distracting. I have to wonder why this guy left Capcom. And why he isn't an actual animator.

Chrono Phantasma Story Discussion [fun tentatively allowed again]
Agni replied to Chaoschao222's topic in Zepp Museum
They won't kill characters. Why? This is a fighting game. You can't kill someone off, their mainers will get pissed. Now, you could just have them as unlockable characters for Arcade/VS/etc., but if my main was killed and relegated to just a secret side character I'd be kinda pissed. -
[Xrd] News & (Theoretical) Gameplay Discussion
Agni replied to Shinjin's topic in Guilty Gear General
It depends. Xrd has TONS of tiny details like the writing on everybody and the models themselves, but it all depends on how power-consuming the special effects are. But real talk, PS4's probably gonna be the version we'll use for competitive play. -

Thankfully, the game'll still look good even with a slightly lower res. Plus, smoothness of gameplay always matters more--a mid-graphics game at 60 FPS will look MUCH better than a high-graphics game struggling to stay above 25FPS (I'm looking at you GTA V...). I expect this game to run perfectly while still looking awesome. -
What's the worst fighting game you've played?

Chrono Phantasma Story Discussion [fun tentatively allowed again]
Agni replied to Chaoschao222's topic in Zepp Museum
I honestly don't think Mori thinks at all when writing these game's stories. ...Okay, he thinks, but only in the respect of "what crazy bullshit can I pull from my ass THIS game that will utterly confuse everyone" -
What's the worst fighting game you've played?
Agni replied to Verimeloni's topic in Misc Fighter Central
Because: 1: MUGEN isn't really a game more than it is an engine 2: The quality of MUGEN depends completely on the mods you use, it can be nearly as good as a "real" fighting game or a buggy broken piece of shit depending on what mods you use -
Holy shit that art. I don't watch this show but I want to see that episode, because there's no way the art can be that goddamn bad. This whole show looks like it was animated on two bucks worth of money.

[Xrd] News & (Theoretical) Gameplay Discussion
Agni replied to Shinjin's topic in Guilty Gear General
Odd...can't GG have some characters that look like...kinda-normal humans? Not everyone has to be crazy wacky-nuts. Then again, Zappa...he does not exactly look like a normal human in motion. -

Assuming my google-fu is correct, Zappa originated in XX, which released in 2002. Calamity Trigger wasn't in arcades until 6 years later in 2008. -

Maybe I could start with "Bedman looks nothing like a BB character". And honestly, his design is WAY more than just a "kid to stuck a bed". -

What. Bedman is not a BB-like character at all. I can imagine him fitting into GG where everybody is crazy as hell but he wouldn't fit as a BB character. Seriously want to see his gameplay. I wonder if he'll be like a previous character or strike his own niche (though that might be hard given how many characters GG already has had).
