Adachi and Marie are free the first week? Aw hell. My friend's getting me this game for my birthday, which happens to land on the last day of said week (October 4th). I hope they're still free then. I don't even plan on playing them probably, I just feel like I should have everyone even if I don't use them.

Oh yeah, forgot about that. San Antonio's got a half-decent scene going though. Speaking of that, do people still play netplay? It's not optimal but any practice would be good.

This is a really minor and specific question, but does this game have am option in training mode to show your inputs? I have the original AH3 and I was always mystified that it didn't have that like every other fighter.

Is this game still alive? Sorry if this sounds like a dumb question but I just got my stick and I'm trying to get more fighters to practice with. I want to get into GG so this seems like a good start.

Yeah, as someone who got a stick like...literally two days ago, it's a really good thing to just be patient and don't mash. Like I know that's really simple advice, but it helps. I had trouble doing even simple goddamn fireballs because I was always like 23A6, then I remembered to not mash like crazy. Just let go of the stick, let it return to neutral, and then press 6 and whatever attack you need. There's no need to manhandle the stick for EVERYTHING.

It doesn't matter if people don't actually do it that often. Japanese executives think it will happen and thus make these baroque restrictions.

A local games store of mine is selling a few sticks, while I'm fine with going on online I think they sell them cheaper then what you get online after shipping is added. The two ones I'm looking at are the Hori Fighting Stick V3 and the Qanba Q1. I heard both were decent cheap beginner's sticks, but the V3 is apprently a giant hassle when it comes to replacing the buttons so I'm edging towards the Qanba. Also it's garunteed to work on PC which is nice for whenever I want to play some poverty doujin. Would this be a good choice? The store also sells HRAP's but that's WAY too much money for me right now.

I once came up with an idea for a fighting game which had a "Tournament Mode" that could be switched on and off from the options menu; it unlocked everything instantly but disabled saving (which doesn't matter for a tournament). If you're going to have unlockable characters in a fighting game, at least have something like that.

Oh man, I fucking love moeblobs but Elphelt is just ridiculous even if she is cute I'm starting to think that she's gonna be a subtle parody of them. They are just trying so hard to make her look adorable. Regardless, she is cute as fuck and I like the idea of her playstyle so I'll probably pick her up when I play this game (it'll be my first GG) EDIT: goddammit she even rides a fucking broom seriously ArcSys (Also I agree with Uncivilized Elk but I'll leave it at that)

Good god Elphelt has more hearts in her attacks than Platinum. I'm really excited for footage of her. EDIT: I just noticed that her gloves have differently colored nails. Quite the odd design choice, but hey, it's GG. Anyway I really want to see how her two guns work with her fighting style.

Nothing will ever be as bad as Makoto's underboob. Or indeed her whole outfit. But this isn't really gameplay related.

I main Platinum in Blazblue, so you can guess how I feel about El Anyway, she's cute as fuck, but more importantly her playstyle sounds interesting. I've always wanted a character in a fighting who uses guns, switching between them and reloading, and now I have one! I'm certainly interested in playing her once this game drops over here.

Gardevoir would be cool. In terms of selfish choices of mine who would never get in the game, Darkrai please. And have him put opponents to sleep and be stupidly broken

So I just saw the MASSIVE list of bugs in this game. What the fuck? How is this shit acceptable? Why is this series so undeservedly popular in the west? smh

I didn't say that not having an evolution made a Pokemon worthless, but that no one cares for anything but the final stage of an evolution. We're not going to see Charmander in this game, we're going to see Charizard if they go that route.

What I want to know about is the roster. There's over 500 Pokemon, and while a good amount of those are unevolved and thus worthless, there's still a good amount left.

I can't help but get the feeling that Celica is a joke character--she's so hilariously unfitting and her moves are all comical...then again, this is ArcSys where all characters no matter how wacky are taken seriously. But seriously, dat intro animation with the upside-down map is funny as hell
