yea playing online over the summer sounds great (assuming that I am in ATL still and that PSN ever goes back up...two big IFs), i'm all about some BBCS2 weeklies/dailys online

Go ahead and hate on MK9 all you want, world - the game is fun! Looking forward to playing on Fridays (when I can show up... ), unfortunately no money/time to spend on the game atm, maybe I'll invest after school's done.

BBCS2! so many characters and my guy isn't top tier anymore, so it's harder to find videos of him being played well! HYPE also butts also still wishing to show up friday for a bit, hopefully i can + bbcs

i thought match videos were just poke -> training mode combos? o_O also I TOLD YOU SO on the arakune not being S tier I've been trying to convince everyone for months that he's not as good as everyone thinks he is, and he got a bunch of speed nerfs in CS2 (wall dash slowed by like 3x?! and backdash slowed a lot really hurt his game), as well as the general curse combos not being as sick in the damage department anymore just make him a fully decent character. He'll still insta-gib you if you don't know the matchup just like he did before, but his game overall has always been one of deception. Now I can safely dread Lambda, Mu, Hazama, Hakumen, and Rachel on my throne of correct-ness. I might need a secondary for this game....

Idk if I can make it this Friday but I wanna play more fightin games! After playing some GG with Xif I wanna play it some more, and I wanna play more 3S in general. BB is also always enjoyable so let's play that too! Marvel sux though :/

The reason we mention smash all the time is because a lot of us used to be smash players: myself Ivysaur Marty Tim Justin bloo bloo bloo probably other dudes too gonna try to show up this friday, judging debate all weekend so we'll see if i have the time (if i do i will be sober :O)

Sounds awesome. I will be doing my usual formula of drinking a lot, bringing girls and then boring them to death, and playing any video game i am aware exists at that point (and then talking smack of course). Be prepared.

Little bit of advice I can give from dealing with Gamefest people in the past: 1) Not being a GT student has never and will never be a problem. Come and eat the foods (they're free)! 2) In the past, the crew has jumped from being really friendly to outside consoles to really anal about it and then back to not caring about it. There was one semester where console tournaments didn't happen because some asshole in RHA made a (wrong) argument about how tournaments like this violate copyright law, but everyone believed it and GT is not about to deal with potential legal issues. The past semester or two, people have brought GG/BB/whatever setups, and this has been ok. Please note, not that I think this will be a problem, that the Smash tournaments have been starved for TVs every semester, so don't think you'll be able to use anything you don't bring yourself. I've had to play a 40 man bracket with 4 TVs. For Brawl. At 2AM. It sucks. 3) All I can tell you for sure is that I don't know what will happen. 90% certainty that they won't care and if you bring all your own stuff and keep to yourself you'll have a grand ol' time just like on Fridays (but with free food and sodas!), but the majority of the crew that runs these Gamefests graduated last spring, so we got some new management. They may not be happy with a side-tournament entry fee kinda thing, but if we're the only folk who wanna play something like that, we can keep it a secret It's looking hopeful, but imo if you like how they run it or wanna see that kinda stuff in the future (namely if you go to Gatech :P) then just talk to the folks running the stuff and be nice. They're nerds like you and they've worked hard to put this thing on! I'll be there, and I'll play a few games :P Friday's another party, so if I come it'll likely be late and drunk.
