Everything does feel faster. It's that or everything got tighter or both. As a whole, that j.b > j.D gatling is just annoying and I'm finding it difficult to do correctly if the combo is even slightly long. The lack of damage from almost every starter is just depressing. The 6B ground bounce is cool but that doesn't make up for the loss of damage on everything. But hey, at least we got acorns? -

BBCP 1.1 Player Statuses: http://sp.bbcp.ac/ranking_view.php?mode=exe&type=psr_rank As of April 24th, 2014, Makoto takes #15 and #16 on the top 20 overall highest Dan ranking (Matsu and Goro respectively). That doesn't really mean anything other than that's where you'll find her tombstone as far as competitive ranking goes. As other players lose/gain rankings, her spot will move accordingly. I don't know exactly how inactivity factors into dan rankings decreasing but as far as I know, those two players will have their Makotos stuck at the high-end of 17th dan until they decide to play her again. Goro: (Played/Won = 2102/1657) http://sp.bbcp.ac/member_record_view.php?user_id=2735&charactor=mk Goro has pretty much moved on to Kokonoe at this point. I heard there's footage of it. His Koko is at 5th Dan now (would be higher if he didn't have obligations). If this is a permanent change, it's likely he won't be playing Makoto in ANY future versions (see: Lambda). Consider him lost. Matsu: (Played/Won = 4387/3085) http://sp.bbcp.ac/member_record_view.php?user_id=13317&charactor=mk I don't exactly know what's going on as far as Matsu is concerned. He's publicly stated he's dropping her on Twitter. I believe he's dropped her for Ragna, which is currently at 4th Dan. For all intents and purposes, consider him lost too. If any of you wish to figure out if either of these players have played Makoto in the future, click on the links above and compare the played/won record to the one on this page. If one or both numbers has increased, they have played/won that many games with her. As for the others, Kuroku took one look at CP1.1 Mak, made a combo video demonstrating her new combos (and how much worse her damage is), and immediately went back to FFXIV. Eda has long since moved onto Kokonoe. Long story short? No one in Japan is playing Makoto besides casual players (no offense milesw). Will there be a new player that rises to the occasion in the future? Maybe. Don't hold your breath though. Definitely don't look to America to put her on the map either. The only guy (DJHuoshen) that was crazy enough to run her in tournaments is most likely moving on to Kokonoe as we speak. Considering her changes (notably the acorn taunt) and Omni's tweet a little while ago, I'm inclined to agree that Makoto is officially Blazblue's version of Dan. If this is true, there's pretty much no incentive to improve upon her design. If you plan on being competitive, I highly suggest learning a new character and one with a much better track record in terms of changes. Save your squirrel for casuals/netplay. Kokonoe seems to be popular with former Makoto players. Maybe there will be a better version of her in the next version. Again, if we're going on past performances, that seems unlikely. And some of the stuff I've read on this page is... sad, to put it nicely. It's time to move on gentlemen. Don't flood this thread with your tears. It's weird. o_O Oh and R.I.P -

I gotta watch those new videos then. Goro is still an enigma to this day. I still can't tell if he genuinely likes Makoto or if he just wants a challenge since he's a master of the neutral game. He could also just want to keep his character specialist status. Or he didn't have time to learn a new character in his little free time. ...w/e. Eda already left a while ago. Do we know who Matsu is playing now? I wanna say Valk for some reason. -

According to Twitter and google translate, there's a high chance that Matsu jumped ship cuz lol nerfing bottom 1 characters is a thing for Mori. Goro is still AWOL. I'm already set to call time of death for CP1.1 squirrel but there's a tiny chance that things aren't as bad as it seems. -

So OD Particle Flare damage reduction... why? Is averaging 6k with PF ender considered too much damage now? There's also that supposed Crush Trigger nerf too. -

Hazama, Valk, Litchi and the rest of her bad matchups removed from the game. In other words, remove everyone from the game until Makoto is good, then remove Makoto. And this allows everyone else to get away with murder? She has the shortest set of normals in the game and above-average speed at best. What exactly are people scared of here? Even when she was broke, there wasn't exactly an easy way to mix someone up. It was just her damage that was over the top. She didn't need her already stumpy normals reduced in range along with her damage nerfed in EX. What I'm saying is, there's only been two extremes for this character and there's a definitely mid-point in balancing that ArcSys refuses to reach. But hey, what's another version of the struggle for the worst character in the game for what will be three games running?

Mori is the type of nigga that laughs when someone at SCR gets hit with a Kokonoe combo into black hole unblockable. He cares not for you. That being said, at least I get to see Makoto adjust her thighhighs some more. ...for 10%, that nut better have godlike reverse proration and by that I mean 300%. -

There's a sliver of a chance that it won't. Other characters got different changes in the website patch notes than originally stated in the first patch notes. Makoto might actually get more changes than originally stated, for better or worse. Of course, we aren't going to hold our breath though. The Struggle is too deeply-ingrained in us. :/
