I don't know how lenient this is though but keep in mind, projectiles are a lot easier to parry than regular hits since you can see them coming. I won't say this is practical just yet but this is at least godlike to watch. Also, this man just set the record for highest damage in a CP Makoto combo. -

Matsu... is a fighter. Whether or not he's going to still play Makoto when CP1.5 comes out is up for debate. All I know is he's pretty much the only active Makoto in Japan. Was 6B oki a thing or is this something we aren't going to miss? At least the anti-air OD route still works. It looks like she's the same except j.B is hot ass now and she has acorn taunt. Is j.B counterhit the same at least? ...so if Makoto is going to get more 3S stuff, this means she'll have Karakusa and red parry in CP2 right? -

Overused? You can't be serious right? It's just decent at closing out games. There's nothing abusable about it like Litchi's or Hakumen's. Plus, her overdrive damage is merely adequate compared to many others that can poop out 7k-8k without trying. -

Victory Acorn as the new taunt would be a nice thing to have in a vortex of despair. I'm not getting hype for it since it's jbbs and they're a bunch of trolls but if there's proof, I can at least be slightly amused for a few seconds. God I hope someone figures out how to use j.B in combos again. -

TBH, I think he's farming players at his local arcade. Arcade attendance has dropped considerably since the console version dropped. I do think that he's really good though.

That's wrong, otherwise Tao, Valk, Hazama and the like would share the same bottom-tier projects apartment building Makoto is living in right now. It might be wishful thinking but even I don't think ArcSys is dumb enough to think that one person having success with a character means she should receive nerfs. In any case, Goro said that he has life commitments now (he got married, iirc) so I doubt he'll be playing. Even if he plays, I don't think he'll stick with her for a third game in a row with her being bottom 1. -
Platinum (Daiwa), Relius (Ryo), Nu (Gentarou), Rachel (N_O), Tao (Isa, Tsujikawa), and Litchi (Puromete) have been seen at 19th dan at one point or another along with various Jin and Hazama players. Ironically, the #1 ranked player currently is an Azrael player at 19th dan. I don't know him though

I think I'm done despairing for now so let's try and look at things from an "it could be worse" perspective. - her basic gameplan hasn't changed overall; she's more or less the same - most of her matchups haven't changed for the most part - other characters got nerfs too which can increase your survivability - her backdash was average at best; the system change doesn't really affect her when looking at the surface - she still looks the same (your mileage may vary) Her quality of life still sucks but if you're used to it, CP1.5 is more of the same so there's that. On the off-chance that the new 6B and the new j.B gatling is a positive game-changer, those can be new things to play with. You could also change characters and hope that other people in Japan do the same so management can see there's something wrong. They'll respond with either: - noticeable buffs/positive moveset overhaul - she gets put out of her misery in the CP2 storyline to further develop Noel/Tsubaki as characters (don't think Mori won't do it) and remove her from the roster (Yes, the last thing is technically a positive for the poor girl at this point. It also means you can see how bad of a designer Mori really is and you can devote your time to P4A2 and GGXrd instead ) -
Now what does that mean? Just because ArcSys refuses time and again to actually find a mid-point for Makoto's moveset doesn't mean she's a failed design. She started off high/top before being the worst character in the game for what is going to be the third game in a row (Makoto tier is the new Tager tier now). There's never been a mid-point, just extremes. It's just pure incompetence at this point so I do kind of agree with Airk. That being said, y'all can leave Azrael alone. He's the only character left that I genuinely find interesting to play. Even with the buffs, he still has the same problems in his gameplay. The only neutral game improvement I can see is the Growler buff. When Mori inevitably kills off Makoto in CP2 (citing lack of character interest in the arcades as his transparent excuse) as a martyr for his waifu Noel's character development, I'm going to need Azrael's big broad shoulders to cry on.

I think they would mention ch j.B being nerfed as well alongside the j.B change. Since it gatlings now, maybe you just have to stay on top of your game and connect j.D after non-counterhit starters. I don't see how 6B ground bounce on air hit is a nerf at all since everyone stopped doing 6B > orb oki a while ago. I'm anticipating extra freedom in OD combos since everything she does makes you stick to a surface in OD. ...I mean it ain't "remove SS wallstick and pat themselves on the back for a job well done" as the only balance change like I pessimistically suggested but it's pretty damn close. -

We'll have to see how these things actually affect gameplay but it honestly feels like more of the struggle again. The CT thing seems to be an issue if you use it in a combo it seems since they said "hit". I'm pretty sure they didn't change the stun from a successful guard crush. I want to see what j.B > j.D entitles. This has to be something if they felt the need to decrease hitstun for the gatling inclusion. And lol at her getting the least amount of changes as if this character is already competitive or something. Glad I had no expectations. Welcome to nobody playing this character in BBCP1.5 Looks like I have to kill Pachi to get any change around here. #whensbbcp2 -
It was a joke. C'mon son, how you gonna play the troll king and be trolled yourself? Anyway, his normals look pretty good and his lack of meterless reversals is negated by the fact that his meter gain is unparalleled and his reversal super is pretty decent. Also, damage. Compared to other characters, he's decent. Also, Azrael definitely isn't an answer to Koko. It didn't take long for the community to get around Growler without trying.
