[BBCP] FT10s - Season 3.1 - Sat. 1/11/2014
LegendaryRath replied to LegendaryRath's topic in BlazBlue Online Play
I'm going to start accepting suggestions for the first BBCP FT10. You guys can make them here or on an anonymous suggestion form, which I will create by tonight. First post will be updated once I've got that set up. To get the ball rolling, I'd really like to see OmniSScythe (Kagura) vs Psykotik (Carl). Mostly because I haven't seen high level play for those characters yet, and they look really fun. I'll update the original post with any suggestions that are made periodically. -

"rumor: 5a lower hitbox strengthened (does not whiff certain chars crouching, etc)" It might even hit Yukiko 2A , although we can't confirm that yet -

First post updated with player list. If I left anyone out, please let me know! Organized by Region, since connections should be a priority. edit: also, I'm looking for commentators! My usual bunch from persona wont be enough for this game lol. hit me up on skype (LegendaryRath) if you want to help out. For the meantime, it'll probably be a bunch of persona guys. Maybe Omex, bace, etc. -
[CP] Azrael vs. Kagura Match-up Discussion
LegendaryRath replied to zeth07's topic in Azrael Matchups
If you clash 6A against his DP, it might be best to 2A. You'll low profile the rest of the DP and you can punish with 5D or 5C > Valiant, depending on if you have a weakpoint. Good stuff Bakery! Frametrapping with 6A to beat DPs in our pressure sounds really REALLY helpful. Especially when considering how many kaguras just spam that move. We should beat most mashing this way as well. No matter what you do after baiting a DP, make it hurt. If you don't take away half his health, put him in the corner, and set up unblockables afterwards, Kagura wont learn his lesson :D -

First post updated with information from Omex's translation notes regarding the third loketest. -
Sorry if I'm cutting in here, but if you're referring to hakumen, then it only combos if it was a CH 3C.

This tends to happen when the opponent is too high when you go for 3C/6A after 623C in valiant combos. Just delay your 3C a little bit after 623C and this wont happen anymore. I can't give an explanation for why this happens, but my best guess would be something like this. The game wants the opponent to fly towards the right until they either hit the ground or wallstick. Since 3C or 6A cross up in this situation and should send them to the left, there's a conflict of direction and they just float there instead. I'm probably wrong but I don't really don't think the exact reasoning is important.

[PSN] FT10s - Season 3.1 - Sat. 1/11/2014

I tried to set it up yesterday, and it kinda tanked. My bad for not contacting everyone sooner. I'm just going to forget about this set, since I can't stream for a few days anyway. -
[CP] Azrael vs. Kokonoe Match-up Discussion
LegendaryRath replied to zeth07's topic in Azrael Matchups
That's pretty great. Playing a Koko in casuals last night, I noticed that whenever she would teleport out of meaty attacks, I would just autopilot my pressure and counterhit her free. If it works so well on accident, then having this in mind should let us do a lot to her. -
The Polls are now closed! I'm aiming to stream this Saturday (1/11/2014) and I'm starting to contact all of the players to find the best time to start. The stream will consist of one set in BBCP, two sets in P4A, followed by an open lobby where people in the chat can set up their own FT3s/FT5s. P4A: 1st - 5 Votes - StandardOil(Akihiko) vs. ShinSyn (Narukami) 1st - 5 Votes - RenaTurnip (Naoto) vs. Diarmuid (Naoto) 3rd - 3 Votes - yes06kin (Chie) VS. FluxWaveZ (S.Lab) [Only if 1st or 2nd place are unable to play, or during the open lobby] 3rd - 3 Votes - MikhailLuca (Yukiko) VS. xNaCl (Aigis) [Only if 1st or 2nd place are unable to play, or during the open lobby] BBCP: 1st - 8 Votes - Hypermarth (Izayoi) Vs Crossfire (Ragna) 2nd - 5 Votes - -Kuro- (Hazama) vs. Psykotik (Carl) [Only if 1st place is unable to play, or during the open lobby] ~~~ I decided to continue keeping track of the FT10s with seasons (this is season 3.1). It is difficult to simply give each stream a date in advance because of everyone's schedules, so this lets me be a little bit flexible. We're on season 3.1 because Persona 4: Arena was on season 2 previously and this way they can go side by side. ~~~ Hey there! BBCP's running strong and now that we have all head a few weeks to get acclimated with the game, it seems like time to start setting up FT10s (first to tens). The first stream is scheduled to take place on the weekend of 11/23 - 11/24. So long as I remain on schedule with compiling a player list, setting up suggestions, polls and contacting players, then we should be all good for then. BBCP and P4A FT10s will run side by side, usually on the same days. Determining which game is streamed first will most likely depend on the player's schedules and convenience. The main threads for each game will be updated with up to date information from the other thread, as to keep everyone as informed as possible. Before each stream, there is a process I use to determine the scheduled matches. Although, I always keep the stream running longer so players in the chat can get a chance to set up their matches, usually FT5s. -I'll open a form where you guys can all suggest matches that you would like to see [iE: PlayerX (Jin) vs PlayerY (Ragna)]. I usually keep the form open for several days, or until there is a sufficient number of suggestions. -A poll will be posted where everyone can vote on the suggested matches. The top voted two or three matches are selected. I try to end the poll a few days before the stream is set to take place. -I do my best to contact all of the players selected through dustloop, twitter, etc. Stuff happens. Real life gets in the way sometimes. The more time I have to organize everything, the better chance there is of getting all the players on board and running a successful stream. -On stream day (usually a weekend Saturday or Sunday) I'll start broadcasting and try to get as many people watching as possible. It is highly appreciated when you guys help out by retweeting and sharing the stream. I will usually broadcast on MastaTokens channel at http://www.twitch.tv/token. Feel free to follow the stream and follow me on twitter (https://twitter.com/LegendaryRath) to be as up to date as possible. I'll tweet with updates, links to the suggestion forms and polls, and let you guys know when it all starts. I also occasionally ramble about Azrael manliness. Feel free to ignore that. If you are interested in participating, please post the following: -PSN ID -Character you wish to play with (preferably your main) -region (to help matchmaking) Many people have already expressed interest in the previous thread. It has helped tremendously by giving me a head start with the list. You do not need to live in NA. Please be mindful of each player's region, when making suggestions. Connections should be taken into account. As an example, Canada and Mexico probably won't have the best connection, East and West coast either. If you're interested in commentating, feel free to post that as well. It will be helpful to have commentators who are knowledgeable of the characters on stream. ~~~ List of players, organized by region...
