  1. If it would help, I have the tools to make an HD video showing combos from the thread. I spent a while doing it for Mitsuru and it turned out pretty nice. Take a look at it and let me know if this sort of thing would be good. I feel that I'm competent enough with Kanji that I could do every combo on the list. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qsAwXzoAigA Feel free to say "no". And if there's anything else that a capture card would be good for, let me know. I'll be willing to help. Besides, wouldn't it be nice to have some stuff that wasn't recorded with a toaster?
  2. I was looking through the wiki last night and saw some combos where you didn't know if they were optimal. In general, they are probably the easiest combos to get that much damage. If they end in 2A > 2B > 236C then you can usually change it to 2A > 5B > 2B > 236C for a little more damage. I can probably get on in a little while and see which ones this applies to (if it would help you). ^ Just some scrub input, but I hope it helps, nontheless.
  3. Thanks. I don't really mind the mirror match that much. I mean, well ya... it's stupid and unpredictable. But it's so much fun. It's like Tager mirrors, AKA wrestle mania. I guess I've decided on kanji, but I might switch every few matches (if that's allowed) just to throw people off. Besides, it could be more fun that way.
  4. Any combo that starts with 5B > 2C requires that the 5B be completely charged and fatal counter. So that combo should probably be [5B]> 2C> [6B]> [2B]> 2D> [6B]> 5C (15 Hits)> 5DD> [4B]> 2AB> C Bufula> [6B]> 2AB> B Coup. That's a really good midscreen combo, my guess would be 4900-ish. The second combo should work regardless of how long you held 5B at the start, assuming you fatal countered or they are crouching. So long as the first B Coup carries the opponent into the corner, it should work very time.
  5. I think I cried a little laughing. The main reason I asked was that I am equally split between Kanji and Mitsuru. There's only like 10 matches played difference between them, and depending on the matchup, I may do better with on than the other. I suppose I could play with Kanji and switch to Mitsuru if I start losing in an awful matchup. Is that allowed? If not, I might just need to play Mitsuru the whole time because I would hate to get bodied by a sub-par Elizabeth.
  6. Is it ok to be scared of that?
  7. I might end up going to Haz's on Saturday, assuming I get the day off of work and can get there. I just need to decide which character to play with...
  8. Makes sense. Sometime I have issues like that when I watch the video players that my animes use.
  9. I've watched the video on 4 separate computers. No issues for me.
  10. I already posted this in the video thread but I figured I should also show it here. It's a combo video with just about all of her B&Bs. I spent the majority of the last 2 days editing it, but I got so tired and lazy that I decided to leave out heat gain/usage. It would have taken me a few extra hours to get it for all of the combos and edit it in. Hope this helps someone. At least it's nice to have one of these that isn't recorded with a Japanese toaster. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qsAwXzoAigA&list=UUPLm_4MnlmYeOTu88pFTy9A&index=1&feature=plcp
  11. P4A: Mitsuru Kirijo B&B Combo Video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qsAwXzoAigA
  12. Red, could you do me a favor and respond to my friend request in PSN?
  13. Well I should correct myself. Dora was, is, and always will be my #1 idol. Bang is the best character ever created.
  14. I started making a basic combo video for Mitsuru in 720p. Hopefully that will let me explain some things better than some of the Japanese vids could. If there's anything you would like me to include, please let me know. It's really not a problem, since I've had a hauppauge for like a year already. Just a quick question... Do you think it would be fine on youtube if I used some music that came with the P4A pre-order? I just love that version of the Arena.
  15. Maybe there's a way to use a PS3 controller on 360. Never looked into it, but maybe... just maybe. I guess it's a good incentive to switch to stick. I didn't do it to "improve my game" or anything like that. It just always looked like more fun (and it is). There's something satisfying about hitting big buttons and making lots of noise. Oh ya, and playing through megaman 9 with a stick was tons of fun.
  16. Agreed. Even playing as Mitsuru, 2B is beat out by Labrys' properly spaced j.B. I would assume that 236C/D would be better for her jump-ins.
  17. Obviously, the combo thread OP would be a great place to look for a good fatal counter combo, so look at those first. These aren't all optimal, but they're pretty good and easy to do (with just a little practice). Easiest (imo) for just shy of 5k damage would be... FC 5C > 2C > 2B > 236B > 2A > 2B > 236B > 5AA > 236C > 236A/B ... I don't use this one anymore because I learned something better, but this is still a great option. I mean, once you get this much damage, a few hundred isn't going to make much of a difference (hopefully). What I use now for 5.1K (I'm not at my PS3 right now, so I'm not entirely sure on the EXACT damage) ... FC 5C > 2C > 5B > 2B > 236B > 2A > 5B > 2B > 5C > 236B~214B > 236A/B ... It's not too hard once you get used to doing the 5B > 2B input in combos. Think of it as a single input. press the 2B RIGHT AFTER you press 5B. Don't even wait to see it appear on the screen. Now this isn't very practical because you need to be really close to your opponent (and it's hard as all hell), but if you can somehow get it often, go for it. FC 5C > 2C > 2A > 5B > 2B > 5C > 5B > 2B > 236B > 2A > 5B > 2B > 5C > 236B~214B >236A/B ... I've only pulled this off ONCE out of like 100 tries in the lab, but damn it's good. Something like 5.7k or 5.8k if I remember correctly. Unfortunately it may not be possible on all characters. I only tried it on one character and I can't even remember which. I guess this one only deserves to be in combo videos.
  18. I don't think there should be any difference in versions. I'll just need to figure out the fightstick situation and that shouldn't be a problem. I have a buddy from my high-school that apparently goes to these things and he plays 360. Hopefully he can help me out.
  19. Looking at the facebook page, it looks like Persona will be on the 360 only. Being a PS3 player, will there be sticks available to use? Sorry if it's a silly question, but I've never done this sort of thing before.
  20. Not to brag but I feel that I have a pretty mean Kanji. I guess I'll find out with you guys sometime. I also play Mitsuru, but I feel that I would get too much hate if I used her in a tourney. Maybe I'll make it to Hazbat's sometime, or something like that.
  21. I think a Yukiko won Sabo, but I could be mistaken. I wasn't really paying attention to the stream much. Can anyone give me any info on this hazbats thing? I've never once been to a tournament or any casuals, but it sounds like a lot of fun. Besides, I've never had a chance to play without being online. It would be nice to play the game that I already play (way too much) with people in the same room.
  22. 5AA>2B only works on crouching opponents, unfortunately.
  23. I don't often use a OMB at the end of a full combo that often. Unless it's going to kill, I don't see the point in using a burst for just a few hundred extra damage. Maybe I'm being a bit naive, though. I do, however, use OMBs a lot if I get a random 214A/B. You can get some surprising awesome damage off of it, especially near the corner. Here are a few of the combos I would use that are pretty easy. (midscreen, requires 25 SP and 1 Burst) 214A/B > OMB > (delay) 5C > 236C+D > j.B > 2B > 236C > 236A/B ... If you have trouble making the 236C+D connect, make sure you delay the 5C. If the 5C hit's them when they are too high after the burst, your persona will just go right under them. This combo is probably not worth doing unless they have already used their burst and/or it will kill them. Bursts are precious after all. (Corner, requires 1 Burst) 214A/B > OMB > (delay) 5C > 236B > 5AA > 2B > 236C > 5AA > 236C > 236A/B ... I almost always go for this whenever I can, given that the other player has already used their burst. This get's 5300 damage (give or take 100 and depending which batman dive you used) and it's really easy to do. (Midscreen, requires 50 heat, no burst) 214A/B > OMC > 2C > 2B > 236C > 236A/B ... This gets a pretty solid 3800 damage and is really easy to do. Just make sure you hit 2C as soon as you cancel and you should be fine. It's worth mentioning that you can add a 5B right before the 2B for an extra 200 damage, but I mess it up too much that I don't do it online. If the 214A/B is a counterhit, the 2C will wiff after the OMC. This is easily fixed by dashing for a fraction of a second after the OMC. Just hold 3 for a quick second before the 2C. No need to actually press 66 to dash. If you hold any forward input while doing a OMC your character will automatically dash. (Corner, requires 50 heat, no burst) 214A/B > OMC > 5C > 2B > 236C > 5AA > 236C > 236A/B ... This does around 4300 if I remember correctly and is, once again, very simple and easy to do. I typically go for the OMC combos instead of OMB combos if I have the meter for it. This is just because I really don't want to use my oh-so-precious bursts unless it's going to cause me to win. I know this wasn't exactly what you asked for, but I hope it helps.
  24. On crouching 5AA>2B works. It's an easy alternative if people are having trouble with the 5B>2B input.
