I haven't gotten a chance to play against you yet. You play Aigis and Slabrys? Neato Against kanji I would recommend Aigis. She can keep him out very well with 2B and other things, which also happen to destroy his persona whenever he uses it (and trust me, he can't get easily without it). Just go for a persona break and then get into orgia and kick his ass. He can't really do anything then, even use his DP. We should play at Haz's or something next time, if you can make it. I was pretty bummed that I didn't have the chance to play many people outside of the tourney last time. EDIT I guess I'll gave to try and make it to one of the casuals.

I don't have any GG experience, so I can't contribute anything to the conversation other than "That game looks kewl, dood". Kanji's DP is very good and can help turn things around for him, but in general it's useless against anyone with match-up experience. Typical grappler stuff in that respect. It's hitbox is just his body, so if you get hit, you were either pressing too many button's or he just timed it well. And yes! It's annoying as fuck that it lasts so long, but that only means it's easier to punish on reaction. It gives you time to use a persona attack as bait and recover to use your strongest fatal (in most cases). It's also pretty damn easy to tell when you can punish it. I don't know about you, but I have a damned hard time punishing Yosuke's sometime. I just can't tell just from the animation. You're all right, kanji's DP is absolute bullshit in a lot of cases but it's so easy to go around. Some of it's real strength lies with the fact that he just has it as an option, even if he never uses it (but most Kanji's will use it... a lot)

Not sure if this counts but just use a persona attack... You'll lose 1 card but get a free punish of your choosing. I really don't see why people think his DP is so good. It doesn't even have a hitbox... literally, Oh, and hey guys. Hope you all had fun at Justin's. My thing in Illinois went well. If I'm free I can always make it to Justin's, assuming I have my bike available. Just don't expect me to strap a monitor and console to my back. Yu's a pretty scary dude. He's got some of the best of everything and is straightforward (You are correct, though. It can be a downside against the right person.). Yu would be more broken than Mitsuru if he had damage like her's. I shudder to think of if Teddy had good damage....

One downside to using SB droit in a combo is that you can't really gain any meter after the point where you used it. I could be wrong and I'm not home to check, but please correct me if that's the case. If that's right, you'll need to decide whether the little bit of extra damage is worth the trade off in meter. I'm lazy, so I'll stick to my normal B Coup combos.

I've been hearing from several places the same things Ruben's saying, so I'm pretty sure he's right. Backdash invincibility is pretty sketchy sometimes and hard to rely on for anything other than avoiding grabs. There was one moment where Erik air backdashed through a lot of my stuff and it was pretty sick, but I;m guessing it was an accident. Not to give him any less credit, but it's just so unreliable sometimes. Either way, I nearly shit my pants when it happened.

Went to see Dredd but we got there too late. Ended up seeing the new Bourne movie instead. Decent, just what you expect from one of those: Too many shaky/rotating camera angles, lots of long chase scenes that don't matter much, and a lack of any real villain. I'm not saying it was bad or anything. All I'm saying is that you should wait a year until USA starts showing it every other week.
