Okidoki, check this vid. It shows some countering. The counter DD is great for punishing multi hit distortions like Litchi's 13 orphans. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MLX4uZIB0rM EDIT: There are Yukikaze complitations from the same guy. Check those too.

I agree with Katz. You can't really go pick a main without testing the waters first. Choose a character, and find your likes and dislikes. And using different characters occasionally will help you with matchups. When watching footage, if you played as other characters, you can point out moves that they use to start a combo or hit confirm. Knowing the moves and patterns means you know a little about what your opponent will do in a match.

Believe it or not. I think Rachel is going to get better from here. In fact, the 3 things I'm seeing going to unfold in the end of this series is: Taokaka getting character development into a hero. Makoto becoming said vessel. And either Kokonoe or Rachel sacrificing themselves in the end for (someone/something). Probably will at least have their eyes opened. But then again, this is Blazblue, and anything could happen.

[CP] News & Gameplay Discussion (Old)
WillWork4Instal replied to kosmos badgirl's topic in BlazBlue Gameplay
Dear Hakumen and Mu, Stop trying to upstage Amane -
I was going to post that earlier, but I didn't want to get off-topic. Oh wait- But yeah, it actually beats out Litchi's Panda flower one. That takes talent. That mini Amane baby thing scares the hell out of me. And the two girls remind me of Dmitri's transforming super on Hsien-ko. (My lust for the connection of Amane and Hsien Ko shall not be quenched ever)

I'm so tempted to sig this. By the way, how is Noel able to have a more free will than Nu-13? Noel has a bigger personality, but Nu's "human" form seems not like hers. Why is that?

[CP] News & Gameplay Discussion (Old)

What I realized is that Noel's astral does like 836 damage. That's kind of inconsistent with how much life your opponent has. -
Amane's Astral on all (Hurray for ripping off another forum user's post :P)

That is by far the biggest spoiler to date in BB history. I'd thought they'd save something like that until the end of the series. A real plot-twister.

Hey it's combo-able! Hallelujah! And because no one is putting any footage up I found one. Bullet vs Amane http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HngOveCbPk8&t=12m29s EDIT: SPECIAL INTRO INCOMING!!!

I get an exorcist feel about this...

If your fingers slip or get slippery, you may have to look down occasionally. Also, if you have a mind blank, sometimes it's easier to look at the buttons to remind yourself. As for a medium character, Jin DOES fit the bill; and he rarely needs to use projectiles unless he's forced to zone. Ragna is a medium all around, and he doesn't rely on a charging gimmick like Tsubaki and does have some repetetive combos to make it easy to learn. To each their own though. I'm going to cry more because I've been trying to find that "medium" character too with no success. At least I have my Tsu~ P.S. Jin a sissy? You might be judging him by story mode only. Don't let it blind you.

A person who plays the Portables! I like you! It's alright that you play with Vita. I started out playing on the PSP. The arrow controls make it easier to input IMO, so if you like it that way, that's okay. The main difference between the real competetion is that they play consoles. Be warned, because on console, you move more freely than you do on the portable games. That's what spoils you. You may have some adjusting to do when playing on consoles. Also, I prefer the four arrow buttons as opposed to a joystick. It seems to give one less control that rolling your thumb around. 1. Picking your main should be of ease to you. I tried all the characters, and found Tsubaki was comfortable at a beginner's pace, and got gradually better when getting more competetive. Jin should be a the first stepping stone; he has projectiles and a vary assort of special (and using 25 heat to upgrade them like in most games). He has a decent reach with his normals too, so try him and see what you like. If you like using the projectiles, choose a zoning character like Nu or Rachel. If you like using the sword a lot, you can go with Ragna or stick with Jin. If you like punishing characters (like using Jin's counter special), try Hakumen. If you want to be faster, try Tao. If you like closer action, go for Makoto or Tsubaki. But it's up to you. 2. Being a portable player limits you, and isn't really regarded highly. But I mainly play portable, so that's fine. I find it easier that you can stare down at the screen and at the controls at the same time. Hopefully PS Vita can play the PS3 in CP, because it will make it portable friendly. (that, and I want some salt when a player uses portable and wins) 3. A lot of practice (That darn P word pops up). PSP and Vita are fairly simple to grasp (especially PSP). But Xbox controllers and joystick are harder to use. Try getting comfortable with the portable controls, and then move foward. 4. and 5. are already answered. Good luck! And no, I totally haven't been waiting for a portable user to ask for help

How about Bang's gauntlets for items or that Wings of Justice Duodecim guy? And no Hype Dog icon?

Under Night In-Birth, PS3 release confirmed (Jul 24, 2014)
WillWork4Instal replied to Hecatom's topic in Under Night In Birth
Twas' wondering what the hype about this game was.I hope a US/EU port comes through. I'll be eyeing Eltnum and Vatista a lot. By the way, are there streams for this game? And the question that's on my mind is how much would it be to buy the arcade cabinet for this game? -
I guess I worded it wrong. Can you play Amane different ways? I know you can play pressure rushdown, but can you play mini-zoner or in your face? I like a character that can adapt well, depending on situations. Like Nu can play close up, or she can become a zoner; depending on what she needs. Can Amane do that?
-
Is Amane's playstyle very stagnant? I noticed floor drill are only used for okis, followed up by 6D. And everything revolves around the anti airs; most ground close range combos only dish 1.8K. Which is Amane's best reversal super? Can Amane's astral be comboable? Or is it a punishing astral? Is 6B a good option to have a short backjump rather than 214A? And you still get 2 jump cancels if you do hit with 6B>j.6C? Is Amane Litchi's favorite cousin, because he played dress up with her when she was young?
-
The timing is easy? That's what I was hoping for. I was curious how late you had to input another move when he does that one C move where his crosses you over the screen. Good to know~ And its nice to note that when one Amane faced Hima's Valk, that his foward throw can be used and then 236B to hopefully make a decent combo.
-
Amane can shut down Blood Scythe mixup with 6A (or force-whiff with OD). I love it~ 5B punishing Hazama's Falling Fang (I think) is awesome too. No need for Counter Assault version. EDIT: j.6D CH is wonderful. I hope we can get training mode footage on that move quick. And most characters are getting combo videos in already. I hope we can get something.
-
Maybe, people will be too afraid to tech during SMP because of Amane's okizeme potential. Then you can just start loopin' right along~
-
I'm going to make a complitation of 623C loops and just lulzy footage when this game comes out in console. I figured on the 236C, but I didn't know about the j.236C. The video links I posted that got deleted. Both have 2 matches in a row. Ragna vs Amane http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UXQecqrv0h0&list=UUJC5rXAfIrTMuoBY3qJjBdA&index=2&feature=plcp Amane vs Litchi http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UXQecqrv0h0&t=8m43s THE 623C LOOP POTENTIAL http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UXQecqrv0h0&t=11m9s EDIT:Okay, if we didn't know this already, D moves are projectiles. They'll be punished by Az's Growler Field, Tager's Sledge, and Litchi's new super. And now I have lotsa time to kill watching 2 hours of (Shadow) Amane footage. Thanks!~
-
Did my posts get moved or deleted? Also, someone said Nico had a few Shadow Amane matches archived (spoken last night) If someone can tell me where they are, I'd appreciate it. And our Counter Assault is not comboable right?
-
A character that I can't just press four buttons and get a combo? THIS CHARACTER IS CRAP ASFDSFGF And Sparkaura, I don't believe it homes in. But the move is pleasing to watch EDIT:Curse slow fingers.

We should have a Bedsheets thread with his recordings. And a Skype group? I don't use Skype. Also, can Amane do a nice, simple, 5A>5B>5C>5D combo? (this is making this post gameplay related)
