Still maining Tsubaki, just mini-subbing Amane cuz' I like floaty characters. j.236A won't finish with j.214x? Ew, so we have to choose how the combo ends? It's a shame that j.236C is gone, I liked being able to IAD-> j.236C for a terrible pressure. And from what we've gathered, Tsubaki now has to rely more on Install gauge AND 25 heat for Crush Trigger combos? This is disappointing. (By the way, the 3rd loketest video is reserved for certain people, what's up with that?)

More or less, I was not talking about the "arcade mode", rather, the arcade system. Izayoi being the arcade exclusive playable, while Mikado being the console exclusive. Each being their respective's final boss. -

I wonder if they'll ever make a Zappa-playstyle character (that isn't Platinum). I hope Saya, Koko, and Jubei stay unplayable, we don't need to ruin the aura that those characters have by making them playable. By the way, do we know how story mode is going to work? Is it that three person per story section? Or is it individual? And if Izayoi will be arcade boss, wouldn't that make her arcade exclusive or DLC? (basing that Saya is console boss) -
I need another gender confused person to fall in love with. Amane is going to be my new sub. Insta main if Amane gets a Chrona (Soul Eater) color pallete. Doesn't Amane have a moonsault (Yosuke P4A aerial backflip into attack)? Also, I'm digging the Hsien-Ko super.

Trying to backtrack on SMP, but I can't find the page. So is it just special moves that are SMP'd and not normals? I'd hope so. And doesn't that mean Noel is going to get hammered cause of her Silencer combos won't work properly anymore? I also wonder if SMP is going to screw up Haku, Rags, and Tsu's mugen combos. Does (from what we gathered) the new "wall splat" mechanic really hurt our combos? Can you still 6C on a wall splat? Should, if given the chance, OD instead of RC? On the topic of OD, does our new Distortion only work in Overdrive? Also, when you said there was stagger in the D proj.>236D, does that mean that we should do that instead of just 236D? I thought 236D had some stagger properties of its own. Finally, do we think that 2A jc that useful? Considering we lost 5C, that's a lousy tradeoff.

Hey guys, I was looking at the intro and at about 1:05 into it I paused it and saw Platinum the Trinity talking with Tsubaki (in her beige outfit). If anyone can get a good picture of that moment, it would be much appreciated. This new game idea makes me smile so much.Ono and his grubby hands, not so much. Hopefully they don't steroid Anakaris and Squatch' too much. I can't wait to see 3D Squatch's Whale super. As long as Hsien-Ko looks like she did in MVC3, and not some grotesque monster (ironic), I'll be happy. Please Ono make this game right, I'll sacrifice mostly anything. -

It's just speculation. Nothing is written in stone, it's just my guess. As for "material", I just watched the loketests and that little combo preview intermission on Buraji Radio. Bullet's damaging/comboing ability didn't appear to be anything special. Watching Azrael, you can see clearly that this character will have some speed issues (not in terms of his dash, but in hitting the opponent). Watching Amane (especially in that little combo snippet), everyone can see that he seems to have the greatest advantage, being a zoner with occasional close-up moves. Once again, it's just my theory, and you don't have to believe me. Most speculation isn't credible, anyway. -

Azrael has high damage (weak DDs), but needs a weak point to maximize his damage. The first mistake an opponent makes, Azrael, instead of doing a combo, would have to settle with making a weak point. Then again, we don't know how much combo-potential his drive has until we can dissect it. Tsubaki seemed like Arc Sys created her to be the next easy character, but since she has small damage, she isn't a fun, easy character. I feel bad that Bullet has to succumb to be the next, Easy character. Bullet has so much potential, but it won't shine early on. Maybe AS will give Bullet a boost before the game comes out. -

YukiBlue is plotting. Hide the children. Teleport canceling would be absolutely marvelous. That would actually make me pick up a teleporting character. If he could teleport in an Akihiko-fashion (quick jabs), that would lead for raging loops. This would bring me pleasure to no end. I could see homo-genius moments happening: Azrael getting blocked by Bang's D, teleporting out of the way, and FurinKZa Bang dashing back and forth at him, causing nonstop teleportation across the entire screen. I'm pretty sure the game would crash if that were to happen. -

Most powerful? Yes. I just don't think he has as many options to get in on an opponent like most characters though. His teleporting could play for some nice mindgames. I just see "I can utterly dominate you, but I need you to not move for a sec, and let me set up." But then again he is very fast, and can track people down. I'm just concerned from watching the loketests, his moves seem so slow, especially that one where he does a lower slower imitation of Valenhayn's 6C. If it whiffs, it gives someone 2 seconds to land something. This makes me wonder what a Tager vs Azrael game would play out like. -

Just like Tsubaki was. I think that Amane will fit in perfectly, with his zoning,(what appeared to be) some-what close range, and his fanbase. Azrael will be used but won't have that much success, he looks like he'll be punished too easily. Bullet, in my opinion, will have the most difficult time getting in on the mix. I saw a bit of her, and all I saw was (from what they showed us) lack of lengthy combos, and only medium damage. I'm looking foward to see what the title of each character's group will be. My guess is Amane: something with fabulous tier, Bullet: something about Hot Pants, and Azrael with "I lift things up and put them down". -

I already can feel the butthurt of Amane and his zoning games. Since Nu is now a "mode changer", Amane's got the cloth of comboing-zoning death. As for predicting the final boss, just let it happen. We don't need to play guessing games. But wouldn't it be fun if the "Sealed Weapon" Izayoi actually was sealing someone inside, and that sealed person would break out? And this may lead to some controversy, but I would like to see Tsubaki get some sort of super armor when she's charging her Install Gauge. -

I know I'm late to the party, but congrats you mech heads for getting your dolls back. Here's to another game of SWORDS!! TBH, even though I didn't like facing the Murakumos, they do hold a place in my heart. Yayoi overload= I am exploding with hype. I wished that I could play as two different Yayoi (plural form?), and the wish "hopefully" will come true. Now if Arc Sys would release a Shebalve (see Teach me Ms. Litchi 2) character, I would be over the moon. They better not say that "the NOL has a emerald green colored air force team and we're not actually putting one in the game just because it was story padding DUR HURR" About that one hotly debated Tsubaki pic and final boss theory, maybe Phantom (Caelica?) fuses with Tsubaki to become final boss/ Ayame Yayoi. That would ALSO hype me to ungodly ends. -
I have a quick question regarding the loketests. Was Tsubaki's command throw shown in any of the videos? I looked through all the videos and didn't manage to see it. Since it's a new move, maybe I didn't pick it out. Also, if anyone knows and there is no footage, what does the new command throw look like? Thanks.

Or, Caelica will pop Ada right out of Nirvana with her healing magic; Carl has a happy ending and Caelica can continue her lust for dolls! (I know its not going to happen though, I can still dream) Also, even if Caelica got Nirvana back, even Hakumen said, "Nirvana, your hands were never meant for hurting." So either way, I can't see Caelica fighting. -

Well, no more Extend for me to work on. I put in in the cab of a pickup truck (no room inside) to visit my brother for the weekend and play a few rounds. I was assured my PS3 wasn't going to fall out, but on a Pennsylvania turnpike/parkway there was a bump, something bounced out and landed on the middle of the road with a crash. R.I.P. my beloved PS3. I'll save up money to get a new one, and THEN I'll put up my PSN. Sorry. -

The Imperator is godlike, she deserves to have something complex so everyone and their brother won't be playing as her online. If she's in she's bound to be powerful. I just don't want "aggravatingly easy" powerful. As for the Mu-12 idea, she has no where to be put in the new game. DLC would be bad yes, but it makes more sense that Works would let her be a side dish for the new game. She's no longer needed to them, so why not make a few bucks on a character was never coming back? Arc Sys can be low enough to do this. They already made a usless sequel just for one character. -

The Imperator better be in this game. Even though I'm hyped as heck for Azrael (and dat theme), I want the evil possessed little sister. I also don't want to share her with anyone else. But if they do make her playable, I hope that she's really complicated. Like double the work of Carl. She could be S-tier, but the players would have to work f*king hard to make her good. As a prediction with the Murakumos, I noted that neon blue stage with the murakumo coffins. My guess is Nu is back, and they'll put Mu-12 as DLC to piss everyone off. I dont think another new "Death Robot" will be released, but I'd like a "male murakumo (κ-10 Kappa)" or two rejected murakumos formed into one awesome mixup character. -

5C is a dear friend. Me and my addiction to 6C should stop, but it was the move that made me feel like a pro when I played the game for the first time years ago (I didn't play fighters then). Buying without thinking makes me wonder where all my college savings will go if I do use no brain to get what I want. But yeah, the price isn't going to break the bank. I'll probably get it this week or the next. I'll probably train for like two weeks and give up on "What do you mean the mugen is still going on that combo, it's impossible!" Then I'll go online, kill myself, then train some more. Such is the pattern of a "too busy not really" person like me. At least I'll fall back on Azrael in the next game if my Tsubaki doesn't get better. He looks like he doesn't have much trouble doing damage but he'll be punished to death. So I'll be out in the online game in a little while, just give me time to get my butt handed to me. -

Might as well get it new, the price is so cheap they could consider NOT making more same-game new gimmick. The limited edition is like $30 right? I might get it for the soundtrack and art book. But since I'm a high school student it means sacrificing more money that I should be saving up for stuff like that Hori VX SA that I've been eyeing or the Guilty Gear coming in October. Decisions, decisions. -

Actually, I'm still debating whether to give in and get Extend for PS3. I just don't want midlessly keep buying CS games. It would probably help if I felt the most recent Tsubaki, no matter how terrible she could be (still better than CS1 right?) But I'll throw my PSN later, if I get it. -
