DerQ replied to Freezerburn's topic in International

Eddie confirmed? I thought it was Eddie in Millia's eye reflection that was confirmed and not eddie himself -

Blade, you better not dodge tomorrow, I'm too hype to pull off something in a match after training mode tonight. 6HS > carcass ride > w/e is a reality :mrbiscuits: -

<3 @Essay, I think I've been talking out of my ass a little about venom's up charge being different in +R. Rewatched some vids after practicing what it would be the way I described it. The speed at which Fino does it in videos is much slower than what I did in training. Checked the data, 6K startup is slightly slower only to be balance with less hitstop. It's 16 frames startup + 13 hitstop while right now it's 15 frames startup + 15 frames hitstop. Sorry for the confusion Slight edit, 5 minutes of fiddling to try the current upcharge, I'm surprised I can even manage to land it. All's good! -

A ps3 doesn't take a lot of space in my car. It's Gyakuku this time right? Unless we show Taisho to the 3 other guys tagging along. Dai I know you've offered it multiples times, but is housing for 4 too much to ask?

Great evening, great casuals, great event. Not the most content of my tournament matches but that's taken in the best way possible. Felt like I hit a plateau for a week or so and I have an itch to get past it as my ego is telling me to do something about it. JFC +R's timing is good. -
Alright, pretty content with everything compiled so far, there's more to add like the recent 6A usage in pressure for instance, but the biggest modifications to do will be when we have the game on our hands. -Drill level 3 section done -Reread a lot of what I wrote back then to rephrase some stuff or clean up what I felt needed adjustments.

I will be there sunday and to make this easier on everyone that didn't pay, I can go any day of our usual meetups if you let me know in advance. @heartless, sorry to hear that, best wishes On a completly unrelated note who wants to go to TSB in a month? The date is august 24th, I'll be taking my car and will do the same thing I did few weeks ago with lvl5-chan. That is leave from montreal around 7, maybe a tad earlier and drive back on sunday. Estimated gas cost is 130, hotel is under 200 (was 130 for 1 king bed, prob 160+ for double beds), road is 6+ hours (took 9 last time due to customs), event + food should be another 50 for yourself or so. Could always check with Dai if he could provide housing since he's always offered it when I went, but I'm unsure depending on how many we'd be. I have available in my car, who's in? Also let's bring some cherry broue pls pls pls pls -

I don't know, to me it feels reasonable that if you do a bi-weekly meetup on tuesdays, it's still the best thing so long as people kind of respect it. Like, we know ahead of time they're coming and I don't think it's too much to ask that 1 day out of 6 we let you use 4 stations for gundam. If anything, we take the rockband station like I did yesterday. Phoun doesn't bother as I asked him yesterday when I did it. We've also played GG before on cabs so it's possible to have both BB and GG that way even if we're not using the dedicated stations. Plus, it's easier for you Air considering that tuesdays happens to be your weekend no? Though, I may say this because tuesday is still the day that I do not usually come to foonzo. -
Managed to have a friend translate the gist of some info here. Post 206 is Hina explaining the uses of 6A in blockstrings. It covers a lot of the opponent options. 2A > 6A is a combo and you can hitconfirm it without sacrifying too much damage if you do 2AA > 6A instead. It leads to different combos on standing that offer better rewards over something like "Basic string > 3C > Raibu". On block, 2A > 6A leaves 1 frame which catches opponents jumping out. From 6A on block, going into 5B/2B will also catch jumps, some reversals, mashing and corner backdashes. Reason why it catches reversals is due to 5B's non-existent hurtbox on the scarf. On block, 6A > j.D leaves a 1 frame gap and on hit, it's possible to combo. This means j.D on level 1 is active until you land on the ground. New combo routes from this. Lastly, 6A counter hit lifts the opponent which opens up different routes that are more damaging. Here are some notations that were posted there 2A>6A>6B>Airdash forward>JB>6A>Gekiren>5B>5D (Corner) 2A>6A>6B>airdash>JB>J6D>2D>Gekiren (corner, 4k damage, level 3 drill) 2A>6A>JD>2A>5B>5D (this one might be on crouching only) JB>2A>6A>JD>2A>6A>JD (this loop can only be done on crouching opponents, also curious to see if you absolutely need an N starter for it) 2A>6A>TK zettou>JA3>2A (Character specific) The cool thing is that they give the exact same enders as every other combos you'd do on standing/crouching opponents but they probably give more meter, an increase in drill gauge, damage and corner carry potential. One thing they did not mention is if it's possible to start these combos from either j.A (high) or 2B (low). Both of these could lead and combo into 6A in theory. This wouldn't make the high/low mixup game of Amane on par with the rest of the cast, but it would be more substantial that way. You could have a reactable high low mixup on every zettou approach. THANK YOU TATARI FOR THE TRANSLATION

The pacing feels pretty fast since you and your opponent doesn't keep his offensive turn for long. For the most part, everything is minus when blocked, but not enough to the point where you get punished or absolutely lose your capacity to keep going offensively. And there's so many different ways to go through your opponent's offense and a lot of them feel like a callout (da bes). For instance, my character has a counter for standing punchs, a counter for mid kicks that gives me a combo, if I call out your grabs I can punish them with my own grab or a combo, I have the capacity to side dodge and use every other tool available that's not specific for my character. Best part is that these options don't feel like they cover more than 1 option as well, hence why you can feel like you call out stuff very often and get momentum Plus, it's easy to get started. Initial learning curve isn't that bad, especially execution wise. -

me and air have some scheduled beef in that game tomorrow, his vanessa sucks. (so does my Goh, shhhh) It's fairly easy to get started, only 3 buttons. Plus it's not like we grind the game, we just play it now and then for the kicks.
