No. VF5FS, play it sometime at foonzo -
Available footage seems to prove this point (drill still active during grab, blockstun therefore still in effect) and since you can combo into it, I figured this acts as an unblockable attack rather than a grab. Though I can't tell if there's any more specific info regarding this scenario without training mode. I've seen it a few times and that's enough for me to take it for granted.

I assume you mean his drill meter/gauge. If so, it is affected in many ways by his different tools. Without going into the specifics: Drill normals will raise the drill level while active at different rates on block, on hit or on whiff. No differences in that gain rate. The level will increase for as long as the normal is active. For instance, 5D has a fixed amount of maximum active frames, so it can only build a maximum fixed amount of drill meter. 6D has infinite active frames, so you can build as much drill meter as you want. On level 3, your increase rate is much greater on just as about any normal The gauge will decrease naturally at a fixed rate. Hitstun/hitstop will freeze it for it's duration. There are 3 levels, every time you increase levels, your normals change and become better in nearly every aspect, damage, chip damage, proration, frame advantage. If you go past level 3, you over heat. Your drill attacks will be unavailable for about 2-3 seconds and you will go back to level 1 after that. Amane also has his hariken stance. Holding the stance active will increase your drill level. Going into a drill followup will maintain your drill gauge at the exact level it is for the drill duration. Supers will cause overheat and their properties and damage will vary depending on level. For instance, Seijyuu will have a combo followup on level 3 drill. Overdrive will alter the way your gauge will raise or lower. It will try as much as possible to place your gauge on level 3. This means that without normals your gauge raise, with normals it will increase much faster, with normals at level 3 it will increase much more slowly. Supers will still cause overheat. You can find more technical info on the wiki if you want to see the difference in numbers.

BBCP's order is now live. Expect some moderate harassment from my part if you don't pay before the end of july. And by that I mean weekly reminder -
A friend of mine got around to translating the page linked in the description. They call it the "locking" effect which is what allows this to combo. By locking, I assume they mean the natural behavior or Hariken drill which vacuums. No lock means the vacuum would be ignored like in the bullet video. From the post, they say there's a way to trigger this no lock effect by using Hariken then using 2B > 5B(3) > 6D. The possible chain before might be different depending on the character. This is a combo that works according to them, it's character specific though or drill level specific in some cases. Full transcript from his translation Please note, the translator is not an amane player, I double checked everything and talked a bit about it with him to make sure what made sense and what didn't. For instance, in his translation, Hariken was hurricane as he didn't know the move's name. The "lock" was also something ambiguous to him. original post http://www.famitsu.com/cominy/?m=pc&a=page_fh_diary&target_c_diary_id=53051

I even doubt it whiffs on crouching or else the hitbox has to be really thin. Maybe won't work on somecharacters. Too bad this is all speculation D:
-
The thing is that some combo routes work do imply going from j.B to j.6D at a very low height. I'd be surprised if this wouldn't hit standing opponents.

SF4 less or more has meetup days, you'll always have someone to play SF4 against even on our meetups. Though I heard friday are pretty busy in that regards. Tuesday is the "Ask if someone is coming" day to clarify. There might be busy tuesdays, but for the most part, it's much less crowded and there's times where people showed up only to be alone for games like blazblue. There's also a bunch of other games we play from time to time on our meetups, Guilty gear, Melty blood, etc. etc. Welcome -
I was thinking about something j.6D related. According to frame data, this move generates more blockstun of all his air normals and is the most damaging drill normal if you ignore 6D. This also means more chip damage. j.6D also leaves you floating at current height while active. On level 3, blockstun - recovery leaves you at + 1. If you use j.B > j.6D (As close as possible to the ground), wouldn't you ignore part of the recovery as you would land before recovery is over? To put this into perspective, if you were to do jB > land > 2A > 5B > 5D (level 3 and held all the way), you would get 2.2k. If you do j.B > j.6D (held all the way, level 3 drill), you would get 2.7k and would most likely be at a slightly better frame advantage than grounded 5D as you ignore part of your recovery. The only thing is that j.B > j.6D isn't gapless (2 frames) Is there anything out of what I said that doesn't add up, I feel I'm missing something regarding this. When's october ;_;

10/07 Level 2 drill section completed for now, Added possible chip values to moves that chip to illustrate their efficiency in that regards
