inb4 response time argument. Screens have input lag and certain monitors have less of it. To illustrate the general idea, if a screen/monitor offers a higher quality image, it also demands more time to process it. Unless you're willing to spend crazy amount, higher quality could equal to less performance depending on the model. A good ol' fashionned CRT offers a better performance than most modern affordable TVs/Monitors. It's subtle, but there could be a big enough difference for people to be annoyed with them.

Yeah but I've only been with these guys since last August and I've never seen a Noel player until a tad before WB with Greenix picking her up. Even there, he can't afford to come to meetups as much as the rest of the guys. There was no Noel in mtl. I've heard mythical legends about players who turned to the NAH status or stuff like that BEFORE I joined. So that's that, we didn't have Noel XP that much.

Fear still matters in the initial learning curve though. It's harder to reduce the risk when you have little to no idea how the specific grappler works. I don't pay attention to spark's bolt meter, I don't know what to do when magnetized, and I certainly can't upback all round long to reduce the risk because it's the only thing I know and I'm scared because of all this.

And grapplers excel at making the unknowledgable shit their pants

It's not so much as gimmick vs serious play. A big part of the initial learning curve against grapplers is feeling confident. I recall Brice said something once in the lines of "I'm not scared of you in game, but if you're scared of me, you've already lost". I'm still in that phase for Tager. For instance, I'm not as scared of potemkin as I was before and I'm not as free as I used to be nowadays. So just need to get over that bump for Tager.

(If I even find the energy to come after my work shift saturday) So to anyone from MTL, I'll be leaving friday night for Gore, if you want to hop in my car and go to ottawa that way, let me know.

Wish I could, Already promised I'd work that weekend 2 months ago and it'll be my last weekend at that part time job in a total of 5 years. As much I want to come to "local" events like these, I'm on something else that I don't want to ditch either. I'll make it up and find sometime to come a full day for casuals or some shit. EDIT: I'm considering taking the 1h30 drive after work to go there and take the 1h30 drive back to work the next day. Not sure if it's worth it, I'd just die of exhaustion on arrival. Hmmm. Add to that the fact that I'd arrive at earliest possible 5pm. Hmmm. Who'd be interested on going to Gore upperhand while doing this at the same time? (out of curiosity)

Double post because "Important" notices Foonzo will be closed the 12th (tuesday meetup) and 13th for renovations Watching my twitter feed and there's MrWizard announcing he got a new batch of rooms for Evo (paris hotel) because they had 90% of their rooms already booked. I know I'm interested, but I'm wondering who else is confirmed or interested in the trip besides level 5. Do we impose a certain deadline (I'm that kind of guy) for confrimation or do we book late (I'm not that kind of guy)
