  1. 2 things really quick. Upcoming "Road to UMAD tournament" : Vivek from MTLSF offered on Facebook we have a game at MAT the weekend before UMAD. We both settled that I'd give him a definite answer and that this would most likely be one game only. Do you guys want to split tournaments over more than 1 week? If so what game at MAT. I think we can just go with the flow, if some people can't manage to come for MAT, we won't run the game they'd like to practice/enter a tournament. The only thing is that if the new GG is out by then, I say we just run it. Some of the SF guys were interested in picking it up when it releases and it would just be hype as it would be "The new game". We're not forced to have a game at MAT considering UMAD the week after too. If we want to make a Gore weekend before UMAD, My only available weekend is 25th-26th May. If you're interested, let me know so I could confirm/plan this the earliest possible
  2. If any of you guys would like to pre-order BBCP, please show interest here
  3. That's really cool and all and I'm not trying to diss, but tuesdays have always been the day where it's best to check upperhand if others are coming. Some have went and ended up being alone for a whole evening. Everyone is just so used to it lol

  6. Next week we'll be leaving early saturday to save on hotel costs and make it in time for the tournament
  7. I'm in there, I'll just arrive later today instead of 4-5 pm. Wanna chill at home a bit
  8. Motherfucking Chicken Teriyaki
  9. Is there someone we could text if we could ever let you guys know we "might" end up being late. (This will most likely not happen) Awesome, couldn't ask any better for a confirmation :D
  10. Last call for ottawa! let me know on sankishin tonight or via text message (514-839-1834) if you're coming. We'd probably leave Montreal by 10AM tomorrow. WOOP WOOP
  11. I realized when thinking back about what I wrote that a lot of stuff regarding frame data might have been read entirely wrong on my part w/ me jumping to conclusions. I'll edit the top post and this one as well when I'll have time to check back what I wrote and adjust this EDIT: I've edited most of what was frame data misinterpretation on my part in the stagger sections. Other sections don't go in as deep regarding precise frame info, but I'll go through them again for a little clean up on everything. Cleaned up some of the content up to the mixup section. 30/04 : Edited slightly the 3rd section (mixups) as well as the 4th one, done with my personal revisions for the moment being 02/05 : Added some stuff that would work in theory but that would require testing before saying it's granted 100%. Was added in Up close pressure (first bubble) - Downsides and risks Mixups - last list of the big bubble 05/05 : Added a mention of j.B > j.2C > j.D pressure in the 4th section. I also added a video section for references/matches showcasing multiple aspects of Amane's pressure game written here. 13/05 : Really really small details added when describing 3C's usage in upclose pressure
  12. O-ottaw- ot- ottawa? Onegai
  13. I don't mind bringing a PS3 + monitor myself and to answer your earlier question, I don't think anyone in MTL will mind with whatever happens to P4A. That's not to say we wouldn't enter, but I think it's safe to assume we'll just shrug and move on.
  14. DaiAndOh looking for a room for ECT, posted yesterday on the event page. We have a 1 free spot in ours, is there anyone else coming late to this thing from Montreal?
  15. I'll let my headphones by the stream station, they do a good job of isolating nearby sound. Also, should I be concerned as someone who will run brackets? I don't want to kill my voice calling out names, unless they're being called on the microphone
  16. 4/7 Playland F1 casuals Unknown Amane vs Noel 4/19 Tachikawa singles ettei and shokuin getting wrecked hard, just listing the video. Nothing too noteworthy Oh and I started going on Nico in hopes to find new vids and I did, I'll try and list most of what I find here that I don't think is available on youtube. If it does become available and I see it there, I'll update my posts as well. Oh and keep in mind, I have no idea how to properly translate this stuff, so bear w/ me or let me know :P 4/14 Ethan (AM) vs. Noel, Hazama - Nico (about halfway through) 4/21 Ethan (AM) vs. Azrael, Bang - Nico (about halfway through as well, interesting use of 5B to beat Azrael's reversal) 4/13 Jiro (AM) vs. Platinum - Nico
  17. Hey guys, you're having capital KO and a few guys of MTL are probably gonna make it this weekend. I'd just like to know, is there an estimated time at which we can expect the event to start? Since this is roughly a 2-3 hours drive, I'd like to plan accordingly just so we don't have to arrive late or hold the start of a tourney for us. Thx and see ya this weekend.
  18. Considering it's 2-3 hours to get there, we might be leaving in the morning to arrive in time. There's no official schedule, but it's unlikely that the tourneys will start at 3pm and beyond...
  19. ^ datz ossim Quick reminder, who is going to Ottawa this weekend? Easiest way to experience tournaments out of town and fairly cheap.
  20. Actually, going to ottawa if you're just hoping on one's car, it's a fairly mellow ride and a chill day. Meet people, play games, cool off some stress that way and go eat at summerhays for that fab burger. Still at algonquin college right? please say yes
  21. @wakeupdp Yes, these are what most tournaments will have, it's what we have at foonzo, it's what I have at home, it'll probably cure cancer too in the near future
  22. And I thought I went to bed late, wake up and 2 pages later... haha
  23. Depends how you want to see it. I don't think Hakumen is dominant in the neutral or in pressure or in mixups. I just think it's hard to find justification for the potential of his OD considering the unburstable amount of damage you can get off of it. Some characters have good OD combos too and heck it might even be a problem in general that these are unburstable. But I just don't see why HIS Overdrive has this much potential especially when it's even toned down to be the shortest OD of the whole game. That's all I'm saying. Hakumen could do 6k with full meter on OD and I probably wouldn't bitch because it would require proper ressources to pull it off. Without these additionnal ressources, his OD combos already seems good enough. Pair that up with the possibility to OD at start of round and get it back by the end. I don't feel Hakumen dominates up to a point where he can't be fought or that his matchups are always in his favor. I just feel the potential is too high to do this much damage without even the possibility to do something about it like saving a burst or have him need a lot of ressources to accomplish so... My parents own a house in the township of Gore. We've had it since I was born and used to go there on weekends. Now it's barely used, so it's almost always free for me to invite people over so long I keep the place clean and neat. We could spend a weekend playing FGs over there, making our food, drinking, w/e you want it to be. Lots of available space and a decent amount of beds for sleep. About an hour away from montreal, a weekend there is about 25$ minimum for shared food + gas costs. http://www.remax-quebec.com/fr/inscription/M/9012315.rmx?fromsearch=formSearch_residentielle Bring a few asus mon in there and we've got ourselves a kickass weekend.
