Central Fiction Arcade Plot Discussion (spoilers)
Volt replied to Chaoschao222's topic in Zepp Museum
You're looking too deep into this. It's simpler than it looks like, Trinity pretty much just asked Jin to let her chill inside him a bit while she could get back to Platinum. In exchange, she healed him so he wouldn't be bedridden while stuff was htting the fan in the embryo. As far as we know, a soul isn't exactly hard to stuff on things, or at least that's what Relius makes it look like. -
Actually, if you rename the files to replace the Unlimited Characters, you can throw down CS1 vs CSE characters in the same game or at least beat Unlimited Mars. Jin, Noel, Tao, Tager, Litchi, Carl, Arakune, Hakumen and Bang work normal. Bang still do 236236A using 236236D though, Ragna still has buffs and Blood Kain active at all times, Hazama still got the Ring and speed buffs, Rachel still has her aura thingy and buffed George (With normal damage), Nu still sends out 2 swords with each D, and Mu... gets stuck in her first idle sprite with only 5A working without animation and doing 2k damage. Edit: Actually, Mu's broken. She's doing that even if I replace her normal version. She's also got 6 guard primers. Tried her out in a vs. match against Ragna, lulzy. Might try unlimited mars with her.

Even though I completely agree with your post, you really gotta chill. But yeah, that's why I said that calling Saya "Kisaragi" was a terrible idea right when you first mentioned it, 1337, it's not just inconvenient, it's just plain wrong. Sayaaaaaa (Insert OD Noise) The Bloodedge is the way to go. -

Yes. There is a gap between CP and Act I full of events that we don't even know about. Apparently Noel decided to reject Mu when she saw the gate when she was devoured by Berserk Ragna and they actually split inside the embryo. I'm starting to question how canon is Lambda's CPEX ending, but as I said, there is a gap between CP and Act I, so I can't be sure what really happened. -

So uh... Why did no one even mentioned that XBlaze: Code Embryo is out on Steam? Was it a ninja release like GG2 ? When's CF and Revelator for PC, Arc Sys? -

No, only BEE's Raquel was mentioned, but considering she went to the Boundary... -

Yeah, that's confusing me ever since CP. (When she almost got eaten by Arakune right after regaining Mu's powers) She ain't Saya, why would she call Ragna brother and why does she get flashbacks of Saya's memories? -

Not really, what happened is what Rachel told with her Girl with the Book story. OPFD hijacked Mu and managed to live a pretty sweet life with family, friends and stuff but then things got real and she had to actually pick up Bolverk and do something. Then things went really bad after CP and she went "Nope, I'm just Noel, not my problem. Kusanagi is over there, she's the robot chick with blades and lasers, she deals with it." Noel's CT story is pretty much a definite proof that she really didn't want to do anything but chill and be happy all the time. She's constantly wanting to go back to her happy days, but she's gotta complete her mission. Now who am I talking about? OPFD or Noel? In hindsight, it should be obvious that Mu/Noel only had her happy years because the OPFD pulled a few strings in Ibukido, otherwise Mu would've gotten blown up. -

That would be Terumi-levels of dog kicking. I dig it. But it's more likely to have Ada's soul to be unsalvageable. A Nox's core is made of a bunch of souls, how is Carl supposed to get one in particular? But we still don't know what exactly is Ada's function in Nirvana. Is it the body? The core? This is way too trippy right now. -

Anyone remember that creepy shot from Arakune's CP Arcade Ending? Didn't really mean all the creepy death flags everyone thought. I think they just wanted to reinforce the fact that Saya isn't your run of the mill human and that Izanami is Death. I'm more curious about what's going through her mind though. Relius as a therapist isn't exactly a good thing, right Makoto? -

Well, considering what happened to the other possibilities just because the Master Unit got a bit busy with a single one, what would stop everything from turning into things like Es' Stage or simply going poof? And regarding the whole "How to deal with Izanami" stuff, I still stand by my theory of kicking it out of Sayaaaaaaaaaaaaa (Insert OD Noise) and sealing it in a can or something. -

You do realize Rachel was trolling Izanami when she said that, right? So far, all we know about Izanami's defeat conditions is that killing her isn't possible. -

I don't think Izanami can be killed in the standard sense of the word. It's more likely she'll get sealed in something that can't really do much like a random non-sentient thing. Even if Saya is destroyed, Izanami won't drop dead all of a sudden. Don't forget Terumi exists, and he got out of like 3 different vessels, chilled for a while in the boundary and survived an attack that killed his lifetime. Imagine what it would take to kill death itself and the Drive of the Master Unit. -

It actually happens so often that people don't even really notice. Wonder what could be the cause though. I heard it happens more often with people who post from phones, but that doesn't make a lot of sense. Blazblue's Plot on the other hand... Yep, Makoto and Tsubaki are developing traces of Power of Seigi. It really shows things went downhill when you consider that it works as an anti-body and only started with Hakumen, then Jin got it by extension and now we got Makoto and Tsubaki (And Izayoi? Are they split?) -

Nope. That one is legit dead. No retcons. Not that it really matters, it was only a Tsubaki from one of the time loop shifts, no need to bring her back. (Unless she got an alternate Susano'o Unit. Then she and Hakumen can walk into the sunset bodying fools in the name of Seigi.) Anyway, is there a translation of The Wheel of Fortune? I want to confirm a theory. I believe that The Wheel of Fortune is the future of Phase 0, and Phase 0 is the first loop after the Original (Ragna+Nu) Black Beast fell into the cauldron. But I can't be sure without at least The Wheel of Fortune or the full Phase Shift novels (Especially 4.) -

Oh yeah, forgot about that. Pretty sure Terumi and Relius had a hand in forming both the NOL and Sector Seven. Nu said something about Mu not digging the idea of fusing with Hazama in the end of CP. Also, I don't think this is Hazama's plan. He wants to utterly destroy the Master Unit, if he hijacks it, he gets stuck in the same position as the OPFD and sooner or later someone will try to get him. Doesn't look like an advantageous position, especially if you consider he knows Terumi will probably backstab him if that happens. Also, we don't know what exactly happens if you fuse a complete Murakumo and an Azure Grimoire. For all we know, Nu herself got fused with Take-Mikazuchi and it wasn't anything exactly noteworthy for anyone except Amaterasu. Not to mention Nine liked Hazama's plan so much that she even offered to help him in Act 1. That narrows things down to what could both Hazama and Nine actually agree with in a plan. Initially I thought Hazama wanted to off Terumi for good, but that's counter-productive with his hijacking. -

Nope. We know Terumi created the Azure Grimoire, was inside the Susano'o Unit for a while, had a ghost form until Trinity pulled out some Muchorin shenanigans in CP, was directly involved with Relius and Souichirou Ayatsuki in the Black Beast Experiment back in Phase 0, was forced to work with the Six Heroes because of Nine's Mind Eater and he backstabbed them as soon as he could. That's pretty much all we know from Terumi's backstory, not counting untranslated stuff for obvious reasons. -

Ugh, annoying plot points. XBlaze's Izayoi isn't even the same as Blazblue's why give it the same name? Anyway, thanks for the reminder of Phase Shift 2, completely forgot that single translated chapter. Decided to check Jin and Hakumen's dialogue about Hazama in CP. From the looks of it, Jin might've figured out that Terumi was inside the Susano'o Unit before Hakumen. However, he calls attention to where exactly was Hazama since Terumi should've been inside Susano'o. Looks like this should've been covered in Wheel of Fortune or the Calamity Trigger novel that shows Hakumen's Original CT Loop. But I don't think they were translated. -

Just want to reinforce that this is absolutely impossible for the reasons Ogiga mentioned. By the way, what's this Age of Origin again? Which game/novel/whatever covered it? I know Izayoi and Hihiirokane were made before the Dark War, but not exactly when. Considering Ogiga was talking about some hidden wars and stuff, I think I'm missing something. Also, I heard Kuon was packing Izayoi in Code: Embryo, is it the same Izayoi we know from the Yayoi family or is it another of those XBlaze plot points where there is something with a similar name but a lot of differences just to piss everyone off? -

The Black Beast is a haywire Cauldron. Terumi himself said it in CS. Cauldrons use souls to smelt things. Roy pretty much figured it would be cool if he just nose-dived into a Cauldron to try and catch the Azure. Obviously that didn't really work, but he only had his soul when he was pulled back, so he's pretty much a powerless Black Beast. It doesn't have the same powers as the real deal, because it doesn't have enough juice for that. Nox are made by forcing a Cauldron make a Black Beast and then chopping down said beast to use as cores for the weapons. That was shown in That Which is Inherited. The process works like this: Cauldron starts sucking up souls, but doesn't have anything to smelt and it goes haywire. (At least it looked like it, didn't look like it had anything inside the cauldron but Seithr just started peaking and grabbing souls left and right.) Afterwards, a Black Beast is formed. Kokonoe used one of Nine's Spells (Infinite gravity) to condense the Black Beast. Relius snatched the BB Ball and put it in Ignis. That is Ignis' Core. The 10 Nox Nine made were made in a similar way, except half of it is Take-Mikazuchi and the rest is split in the rest of the Nox. Or at least that's what I was led to believe, apparently Phase Shift 2 denies it but it wasn't fully translated yet. Now, Arakune is a proto-kiddy Black Beast. It ate a bunch of Noxes and people noticed Arakune started to feel like a Black Beast. Why is that? Because the core of a Nox is a bunch of souls, so Arakune as a Beast started to power up. Simple as that. That Library entry seems completely weird though. Relius made Prime Field Device 1 in Phase 0 before he got dropped in a Cauldron by the Ragna+Nu Black Beast. Not to mention Es is a thing, well, to be more precise Nobody was the thing, but we don't know Es' deal right now so I'll leave it at that. And if somehow even that wasn't enough, Unomaru dropped a bunch of Es' clones in the Code:Embryo climax, so I don't think this is entirely legit. Also, 1337, that's exactly what happened. Aside from the head, which for all we know could've just popped after Full Seigi Hakumen cut it with Ookami. (Ookami's power is nullifying regeneration thingies, that's why Ragna got extra bodied by him during the Time Loops.) So instead of trying to dispose of the BB's Corpse, people just buried it and built a house for Celica on top of it. Also, we're not talking about a normal corpse. Apparently that whole body became Ragna's Arm, so we can consider some shapeshifting shenanigans. And just to drive home that the head isn't a special snowflake or anything, Terumi made the Azure Grimoire. And then thought it would be neato to make another one just to one-up Ragna. So it doesn't really matter what happened to that head. And another thing. The Susano'o unit is a vessel. Sure, it's a really good one, but if you ignore the vessel's powers, it's just a vessel. It picks up a soul and gives it a body. That's why Terumi have a ghost form. It got out of the unit and Relius had to make a body for him. Twice at least from what we know. (Kazuma and Hazama) Then, at the end of CS, it got out of Hazama so it could be a ghost and hijack Takamagahara. That's how vessels work. The difference is that the Susano'o is a badass vaguely human shaped thingy that can cut time and Hazama is a troll who got a soul so it could cover up for Terumi or whatever. -

Just want to reinforce that while most of CT got retconned, these particular endings were not, because they are directly referenced in CP when Nu tricks Noel into observing her as Mu/Successor to the Azure/herself. So, regarding the whole "how can BEE come before and after Blazblue?" Remember the CT Timeloops? It looks like we'll have a similar situation. Something happens in Central Fiction and then someone or something falls into a cauldron and saves the day like Hakumen. The catch? According to what Relius said, Hazama is that thing. I'm trippin', are there any translations or summaries or whatever regarding Bloodedge Experience? That thing is throwing wrenches in my theories and unlike the Phase Novels, I don't even have a clue about the general plot of it. -

That's a good chance, but what if you had to clear all 96 arcade modes to unlock her instead? Unrelated, but it's so ironic to see Lost Memories' ending after knowing both Nine and Es will be playable in CF. Definitely worth a Vs. Theme. Still very curious about Es getting back the Azure Eyes and Murakumo's change. Because it just wouldn't make sense for Es to pack Murakumo in Naoto's Act 2 ending and then suddenly get a huge Kusanagi-like sword. -

Terumi and Kagura's CP Arcades were very important, y'know. Terumi's end with him kicked out of Hazama and Kagura ends with him explaining that he's trying to kick the Imperator out. -

Spamming Tsukuyomi. Even way back in CS, Takamagahara hinted at the drawbacks of activating Tsukuyomi in CT. Not to mention that in CP after using it to shield Ragna while sending him to Phase 0 she got weakened to the point of not being able to teleport. A few hints are fine but full plot exposition and directly jumping into the fray was way too much for Rachel. Kinda makes people feel bad when they used to say: "Rachel doesn't explain anything! Would it kill her if she was a bit clearer!?" Turns out, yes. It would.
