  1. I'm tripping. Didn't Bloodedge die in Phase 0 to make the Black Beast go dormant? Jubei said that everytime he spoke anything about Bloodedge. Yet Rachel did say that she was going to send Ragna to "Zero". And Ragna could only know about the method to activate the lynchpin if he went to Phase 0. Did Mori went out of his way to create a plot hole just before the final game? What is this, Moon Logic Puzzle: The Game?
  2. Incoming wall of text. I got some questions and I got some answers. First, the answers to questions I don't even know whether or not they were asked. Hazama and Trinity are MIA, which means that we don't know what happened to them. Hazama is confirmed to be alive since the Japanese Library confirms his life-link with Noel is still working, and Noel didn't even got bodied that hard by Beast!Ragna. (Unlike Jin, but he had it coming.) Hazama is actually Kazuma from Phase Shift 1. After merging with Terumi he was shown to have absorbed and developed some of his personality traits, and some lines in story mode has him talking to Trinity in a similar way as of the book. Unfortunately, I've heard some rumors that the special intro of Hazama vs. Terumi was cut, which would confirm it, but I can't check the game right now. Noel had to observe Hazama in the first game to fixate his existence as the merged form of Kazuma + Terumi. It didn't work well, since it wound up with both of them inhabiting the same Hazama body using some sort of tag system. I can only theorize why, but not in this thread. Terumi actually had a killable spiritual body in CP because he got observed after getting forced out of Hazama. He said that in the CP Ending. Ragna got Hazama's cloth restoring power because Rachel had Noel observe him before sending him to the past. Due to this, after they calmed Ragna down somewhat, Noel actually used her Eye to restore Ragna's body to the state it was when she observed him. The Ragna in Phase 0 is CT Ragna. CP Ragna wasn't slashed to bits and he probably didn't cross paths with Nu in the boundary to get all sorts of wrecked just by traveling in time. Not to mention that Rachel made sure to use Tsukiyomi to protect him from the boundary effects. CP Ragna was the Bloodedge in one of the other Phase Shift novels. Unfortunately I can't confirm which one since I neither understand enough Japanese nor have the novels. Now I have some questions. Can someone figure out if CP Ragna got sent to Phase Shift 3 or 4? As I said, I didn't read those. XBlaze. What's that? Will it help me to try and understand CP or it's just some sort of prequel? This one might be too off topic, but can't we try to form an unified project to translate the novels? Most of the information we need to understand this game is there, but the most complete translation of the novels only reached the half of PS2 and it's being done by what, 2 people? I'm grateful, but if we don't get more people working on that we're basically having over half of the plot fly over our heads.
  3. So, we can basically confirm that while Terumi is now deader than dead, Hazama is still alive, right?
  4. Didn't that Life Link got shattered in the True Ending of CS?
  5. Basically, Blazblue is designed to be as confusing as possible. The timeloops are explained better in CT via the arcade endings and Rachel's story. The anime flat-out says that CT was formed by timeloops. The catch is that CT's story has been retconned to hell and back. It got to the point that you get the CT story when you play the CT Reconstruction in Extend and the anime (Which only had 2 episodes dedicated to CT.) Unless one of the Light Novels did explain it better, but since " No Export for You" is in full effect, we'll probably only know too late. Oh, and the original timeline is actually in one of those novels. Joy. CS is way less confusing. But it's still hard to catch up. I'll only give you a short explanation since I don't know whether you played it or not already. If you plan to get the game, get Extend for the CT reconstruction and the Extend stories that actually do set some plot points for CS and CP. Basically CS has Continuum Shifts. An entity is purposely splitting the timeline after the timeloops were broken in CT, and therefore, over 90% of the stories aren't exactly canon material. Only some plot points are canon, such as the canon endings, but only the endings. The path until the endings are mostly filled with non canon stuff. Again, the anime shows most of what happened, but not all of it, and in fact, it lost many plot points and the actual reason for some. The novels explain it better too. CP mostly solved the 5% Canon information per game ratio via the new storyline format. Yet again, it's badly executed. Around 50% of the Sector Seven Story is a continuum shift, the Six Heroes story doesn't explain the novels like it said it would (Only Phase 0 is explained properly, but it was already translated in more detail) and the ending only shows a plot point, it's not canon either. Not to mention that it does not conclude the Six Heroes story. At all. The main storyline in CP, "Chrono Phantasma" is actually very solid and currently most of it is regarded as canon. The catch? The new format gave some characters the short end of the plot stick. But, unless new information retcons it, "Chrono Phantasma" is definitely canon. The problem with the Blazblue storyline always was the novels. The novels contain most of the canon information in the series, but the lack of localization cripples the players who want to actually understand what's going on. In my opinion, the lack of an unified translation project of the novels is the main reason the novels aren't translated already. The most complete fan-translation project has only 2 or 3 people working on it. While some random people are struggling to translate the first book on their own. If the interested and capable people actually gather to translate all the novels, we can actually do it. But until then, the confusion remains.
  6. Ultimate Golden Elizabeth. The only bad matchup for Narukami. On a more serious note, Is Rise a defensive fighter or is she broken like pre-patch Kokonoe?
  7. I just hope they actually release the NA version in South America in the same week. I'm still waiting for BBCP and there's a pretty big chance I'll only see it when it arrives at Europe.
  8. Who knows if he didn't see Mitsuru and the others crucified in the Midnight Channel and called Yukari to offer some backup? And Rise... I don't even know, maybe she found out that her Persona can actually do something offensive and decided to go wreck some faces?
  9. Chill, we can wait a while. Thanks for the good work and I hope you get better soon.
  10. Considering the hype that ensued when Kokonoe was announced in CP, I think it's probably a good idea to save the best for last. Let's see if they'll add Adachi and P3 Protag or if they'll just add Adachi.
  11. I knew they would nerf Nu, but bottom-tier? Damn, that's harsh. Thanks for the advice though.
  12. Well, considering that if they add Ken and Rise to the game it will probably open up 4 slots... (Or maybe they'll just readjust the current CSS without losing symmetry and don't add anybody else just to insult everyone) Who could be the other 2 characters? The most likely to appear are Adachi, Makoto/Minato/Blue Hair and Koromaru (Valk's Wolf hitbox could work). Too bad we'll never see The Reaper in a fighting game. He's way too broken.
  13. Not exactly, I don't care about tiers. I just want someone who's not so execution heavy. Preferably a zoner, but someone balanced or a bit defensive fits. But I'll try Kokonoe when I get the game. Thanks for the advice.
  14. If Ken's getting in, Akihiko players should already start having nightmares because of his weapon choice. Rise? As long as she does not play anything like Teddie I'm fine with it. And their addition may not free 4 character spaces, they can just readjust while still making it symmetrical. (But I hope they don't do that. Still waiting for Adachi's announcement.)
  15. I'll be honest. I don't have a clue about who I should use in BBCP. I don't play any BB games since CT and even though I used to main Nu there, I wasn't that good back then. Also, I've been playing SF4 for a long time now, so I don't even remember what is a combo or how I did them. My execution is completely terrible now. I've been playing quite well with Akihiko in P4A but I prefer to play with more defensive characters that can pose an offensive threat like Nu. Basically, my main question is: Should I keep playing Nu or is she unrecognizable from the CT days? Also, who should I pick as a sub?
  16. I can't believe you guys haven't mentioned Platinum asking if Ragna is a Lolicon yet. Some of my favorites are the Houtenjin and Azrael laughing when he's backdashing in the air.
  17. Great job. Are you going to rip the stages too?
  18. Doesn't it travel horizontally?
  19. This image is false. It's not even the same stage of the one showed in the video.
  20. Does anyone know who are the characters in the blurred footage of this video? It doesn't look like anything we've seen in P4A so far, could they be new characters?
  21. The one on the left wears pink clothes, has blond hair which looks like it's tied in a ponytail fashion and throws some sort of projectile to the ground. (unless they were using alternate colors) Her persona can shoot a stream of small, greenish balls almost in a line. The one on the right looks like a male, could have red hair and can shoot a pink projectile that goes in some sort of a wavy pattern. His persona has a distinct red color in something that might be it's hair and can do a slow teleport using wind and a air dash also using wind. I don't remember seeing anything like that in any other version of P4A. We're looking at new characters here, but who could they be?
  22. Excellent work. Can't wait for the sprites.
  23. The scariest thing about that combo is not having a burst when she goes berserk. Seriously, I don't even remember the last time I saw so many supers and damage. Except in Marvel of course.
  24. Well, Yosuke does use a lot of meter and bursts so it may be a good idea to use the autocombos. Did they get buffed or anything?
  25. So in that matchup both characters gameplan is to get the first hit and keep the momentum until the round ends like in P4A again? That didn't change much. If you consider it like that, it's a pretty even match. I always thought it was worse since it's a personally bad matchup for me. Anyway, at least Liz got an even match, right?
