Arcadia lists 5K-5S©-5HS -> GV clean hit as a combo. So yes. -
You are correct, sir. The reason they initially thought this was not possible was because if you do 214S+D, you get a Charge, not a Gun Blaze. This has to do with button priority (if you press S+D at the same time, you will get a Dust because the D button has higher "priority" than the S button). The trick to doing a level 1 Gun Blaze is that you have to be holding the button down beforehand and then do 214S while holding D.

If you have 299% and you do a level 3 without AC, it should stop at 99%. If you AC after this, it should go to 179% since AC gives 80% (so you'd be at level 2 and 21% away from level 3).
-
They're talking about Dizzy.
-
I'd like to think it's a combination of AC HOS being stupid and kaqn being really, really fucking good.
-
Aea: Considering you can combo into DI in AC and it still does a formidable chunk of damage even on a full-life character, it doesn't quite fit into the useless category anymore. 2HS isn't cancellable normally, so you can't charge cancel it (that would be busted anyway). As for how many moves you can do, it depends on the move you did along with exactly how much meter you have charged. In one vid you can see him do level 3 Rock It into level 3 Storm Viper and then level 2 Tyrant Rave, but that's with a completely maxed out charge meter.

Dude, seriously, what fucking games have you people been playing and pretending that they were Guilty Gear?
-
I posted it in the official changes sticky (the one that's locked). Check it out.
-
Yes.
-
Nope, you can do any move at level 1 at any time. I've seen kaqn do level 1 BRP and level 1 BHB when he's had level 2/3 before.
-
Updated the sticky thread with some interesting new info: now HOS can do level 1 moves at any time, regardless of his current level. Joy.
-
Used to be in Slash that if you hit HOS out of Gun Blaze, there was a very good chance the flame would still come out and possibly trade with you. They took this out in AC.
-
Well, with the way his new summon K works, you have stuff like summon into summon K, rush for a little bit, then do 2D or 6K into Drunkard Shade and combo into knockdown, then set puddle and do unblockable. Still pretty strong, he can get a solid 50-70% off of this setup from what I've seen.

I've seen it teched even on OTG. -
Never said he was good, just saying he was playing for blood. Didn't get the same feeling from the other players.
-
I just noticed it from the first big batch of vids. This Baiken player was continuously winning, but at one point this Anji player had him down to almost nothing. Suddenly he went into super-turtle mode and started doing absolutely NOTHING. It was sad just how badly he wanted to stay on the machine.
-
Problem with Joybox vids is that there's always one guy dominating. He finds one busted thing about whatever character he plays and then just runs people ragged. Other players are still trying to learn/figure out stuff, he's just wailing on them.
-
I have to admit, the Ky giving out mercy rounds pissed me off. I thought "oh wow, this match is over 3 minutes, I bet it's good!", then see this Ky player fucking standing still so the other player can get licks in. FUCK THAT. Gimme some more Chariot vids, that shit was awesome.

I don't think anyone will ever go back to #R because that game really did get to the point where there was no reason to pick anyone but Eddie and a few others. Slash has its top tiers, but I'm still seeing variety in which characters are getting picked. If AC is really that bad, you know we'll get an update. We always do. =/
-
I wouldn't say they kept dropping with each installment. Like I said, Millia stayed pretty popular in #R. Slash saw some pretty major changes, some good and some bad. But generally, Slash doesn't reward technical effort and expertise as much as the older games did, so people dropped execution-intensive characters like Millia and went for the easy ones (Faust, Sol, Ky, Potemkin).
-
Um, what? Millia stayed pretty popular in #R. It wasn't until Slash that you saw a major dropoff of Millia players. Millia is like Johnny IMO, a classic fan favorite ever since X. Dunno why she's not being played now, especially with the new shit she's gotten.

That would make it sucky and useless unless you 100% knew the move was going to hit and not be a clean hit.
