  1. I tend to use the 720 very sparingly so it maintains shock value as much as possible. I'm awful at buffering the sucker off of stuff like jabs, so it's usally off of 5B IAD 720, 5C or some string into uncharged flint shooter to avoid the chance of a purple happening. 2B's good too, I tend to use that one of of H2 5[D] to ensure I'm close enough to the opponent and with enough advantage that some jerk's not going to mash DP before the 2B comes out.

  4. They're launching with six characters (that's two less than Skullgirls). They announced that they'll be steadily patching in more as they're done. In typical Necrostorm fashion, this means they're claiming it as having UNLIMITED CHARACTERS. Once again they've proven that they are the true masters of the genre who shall save us all from misery.
  5. Well guys, it's finally happening. There's a February 20 release date and preorders are now open. I've put mine down. I'll make the sacrifice so nobody else has to. Plus these guys certainly know how to film some fake gore.
  6. Yeah, that's sounding a lot like you're using a composite cable instead of HDMI. PAL PS3s force everything to operate at 50hz if outputting with a composite cable. The port also has no 4:3 support. Only 16:9.
  7. That description sounds like Fritz with Melty-style stagger pressure. That sounds like the most radtacular thing you can put into 3S.

  9. So there was a South Aussie event last month called Southern Cross Championships. It was the first time an event has had interstate Blazblue play since 2011. We (South Australia) had a 6v6 with Western Australia.   11. Both types of guard cancel are extremely good as well. But yeah, consider actually defending and looking for gaps in offense.

  13. That's about all I can contribute to Kliff. See if there's anyone on the Kliff board with anything more to contribute. As for Justice, well, that's all there is to her. Anything more is matchup-specific tricks and going into exactly which button to hit at all times. Such details aren't fit for a brief "here's the gist of a character" video though. That's for an hour-long recorded training session filled with profanity-laden rants about her bad matchups (which are everyone not called ABA ).
  14. Yeah, that's fine. Most throw combos do roughly the same damage anyway due to how harshly scaled they are. Meter gain, positioning and knockdown are the important parts. Sweet new tech! j.P 41236S FRC, 5K, 5S, 41236S Instant overhead! Works on tall characters! Only if they're standing! In other words, this is the most you can get off of that fuzzy guard setup on Testament.
  15. While it's true that I've been extremely busy (there was a local major the week you sent the PM and I've done 50 hours of work a week since it), I think Dustloop ate a PM over a month ago. Regardless, big apology for holding things up. Now have a video of my crappy-ass Bullet at said local major.
  16. The visual issue with the game isn't detailed animation, it's the horribly cluttered stages.
  17. I'm no Eddie expert, but the main thing was that buzzsaw cranked up the guard bar a retarded amount and led to easy blockstrings that put the opponent in the corner easily. From there, you did unblockables (now considered hard-to-blockables as the last few pages have discussed) via the dolphin dive + 5K which led to retarded damage thanks to the guard bar being at max. After the combo, you placed the Drill Special mine and did another unblockable as a meaty. That ensuing combo would usually kill. He had the H drill FRC unblockable setup as well.

  21. Chaining into sweep/2A2B super are extremely viable combos. This game is much more about having a strong footsie game and fundamentals than knowing the technical stuff. Think of it like a mid-late 90s Neogeo game like Breakers or Real Bout 2 rather than Street Fighter or Melty.
  22. Incidentally, I've had more people get interested in ABK by saying "hey let's play Jewpuncher! It's 3S with nazis and there's also a tank" than by saying "let's play ABK it's an indie 3S!"
