  1. You were sandbagging? I had no idea. GG's though.
  2. Execution. I do pretty well in terms of results. I only watched a very tiny bit of NEC. Think I saw your match vs Delta and vs Brkdave (hopefully I spelt those names correctly). Your match vs Delta was a bit sloppy (but I'm sure you already knew that), I was like "Damn, Shyn must be really nervous". I personally don't think that he's bad for consistent win streaks but some of his stuff is a bit wonky. Really though executional consistency means a lot more to me then winning a match. I'd much rather lose and execute everything correctly than win and mess everything up.
  3. Calling all Valkenhayn players. How are you guys doing in terms of consistency? I'm really not doing that well.
  4. Every time I see Evee in the lobby I'm just going to call his name out. Makes things interesting. You just moved up a tier in my personal Dustloop members tier list.
  5. I am so free. Refusing to block and just jumping around like a neanderthal is kinda fun though. GG's to everyone I faced today. Special thanks to Nemesis's hilarious hallucinations for making me smile.
  6. Yeah, it just came out. About 134mbs in size if my memory serves. Here's the changelog: http://blazblue.jp/bbcp_update.html Fixed glitches and added new online features.
  7. GG's Nemesis. Ever since that patch I've had nothing but lag with everyone. That LoVeBirD fellow and I also had a little complication wherein he said that we had a 0 bar whereas on my screen (after the patch) it showed a 2 bar. And I know it's not on my end because I'm the only one using my net, and I'm only using it for BB on my Ps3. I always disconnect my laptop from the internet when I go to play my Ps3. Ah well.
  8. Didn't Hakumen's 2B go from like +2 to -4? Rofl. And yes I did memorize this god damn character's frame data, but you would too if you were chronically decimated by him. Hakumen players, I will find you. There's no use in running hopping.
  9. Beast Cannons are unreliable in this match-up. Can't tell you how many times she's just plowed right through them. Plus you have to actually set it up/aim it too. I tend to lose more often then I win with them.
  10. I wanted that astral so badly. GG's.
  11. Oh, I know. If I was going to go with that route I'd do 6D > h[2C > 6B], etc first though. The great thing about the above combo is the fact that it's the only Back to Corner route we have in wolf mode that only requires one wolf command dash. More convenient on certain hitboxes such as Makoto and Carl. I'll change it though. The damage difference is relatively negligible.
  12. Wow, I am really surprised that you actually noticed, I thought that I was fairly subtle with it. Didn't do it because I felt sorry for you or anything conceited like that though. When you told me that you had to go I got sad and stuff so I tried to prolong our last few matches a bit. Don't be embarrassed though, really it's no big deal. Because of playing you a lot (plus you started reacting to basic mix-up patterns quite well) I became more comfortable with the wolf brake on netplay and thus I've become a bit better of a player, I thank you for that. I'd like to discuss the Valkenhayn match-up with you sometime and explain how I personally approach it.
  13. As promised, updated the combo thread. -Added some combos. -Edited/optimized some combos. -Added an underrated combo section to the OP. Kiba, do you mind if I re-add the Back to Corner section in the combo thread because there seems to be a lot of these combos. Or do think that keeping them in the guide is best? At any rate, here are a few more; I didn't add these to the OP yet. -5C > 6D > j.A > 5C > 236A > IAD > j.A > Delay j.A > 5D > h[2C > 236A > 2C > 6B > 2C > tk.214B > 6C > 3C > 236B] [3250 DMG, 23 HG] -5C > 6D > j.A > 5C > 236A > 5D > h[5C > 236A] > 6D > j.A > 5D > h[5B > 2C > j.D] > j.A > j.C > j.236B > 3D > j.C > dj.D > h[j.C] [3052 DMG, 21 HG] -5A > 5B > 5C > 6D > j.A > 5C > 236A > IAD > j.A > Delay j.A > 5D > h[5B > 2C > j.B > j.C] [2459 DMG, 17 HG] -5C > 6D > j.A > 5D > h[5B > 2C > 236C] > 9D > j.B > j.A > 5D > h[5B > 236A > 2C > 6B > 2C > tk.214B > 6C > 3C > 236B] [3075 DMG, 22 HG] -5C > 6D > j.A > j.C > dj.C > j.236B > 6D > j.B > j.A > 5D > h[2C > 236A > 2C > 6B > 2C > tk.214B > 6C > 3C > 236B] [3179 DMG, 22 HG] -5C > 6D > j.A > 5D > h[5B > 5C] > j.D > j.A > j.C > dj.C > j.236B > 6D > j.B > j.A > 5D > h[2C > 236A > 2C > tk.214B > 6C > 3C > 236B] [3072 DMG, 22 HG] -5A > 5B > 5C > 6D > j.A > j.C > dj.C > j.236B > 2D > j.D > h[5B > j.A > j.B > dj.B > j.C] [2434 DMG, 17 HG]
  14. Honestly I'm kinda free to strong Jins. It was the same way in Extend too: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gbMNNsYeVQs My body just doesn't let me bait DP's. Plus j.236D was so good. I seem to have trouble with characters that can put me into blockstun for a good while such as Jin, Relius, Taokaka, etc. I guess it's about time that I learned more about these match-ups, it's more of a personal problem than anything else.
  15. You put "Rules of Nature" as the song in the video which didn't suit it at all (excluding the title relation, but even then I still would have chosen something else). Poor song choice in my opinion. On the plus side, I did find the description to be quite funny. Hope this helps you in future endeavors!
  16. Don't apologize, it's perfectly fine. We're not going to crucify you, hah. As for combos, the combo that you choose in any given situation is generally based off of: 1. Your starter. 2. How much wolf meter you have. 3. How much wolf meter you are willing to spend. 4. Where you are on the screen. Midscreen w[j.A]/w[5A] confirms are generally going to be converted into the 5D > h[5B > 5C] > Aerial stuff since 6C wallbounce stuff isn't viable here due to weak starters. w[5B]/w[j.B]/w[j.C]/w[5C] confirms can be converted into 5D > h[5B > 2C > 6C] stuff if you're close enough to the corner (except on Makoto and Carl). Midscreen w[5B]/w[j.B]/w[j.C]/w[5C] confirms should almost always be converted into better stuff like 5D > h[5B > 5C > tk.214B > IAD], etc stuff. So yeah, the 5D > h[5B > 5C > Aerial] stuff is mostly used off of weak starters whereas the 6C wallbounce stuff is generally used off of good starters (w[5B]/w[j.B]/w[j.C]/w[5C]) when you're close enough to the corner for the wallbounce.
  17. I truly don't see these types of situations as problems that need to be apologized for, these are just situations that are bound to come up every once in a while wherein a bit of confusion/debate arises. Kiba, you did nothing wrong. Thanks for the combos Shyn and thank you for testing them out Kiba. I'll be updating the OP this weekend.
  18. I would've invited you back Gold but I was in the arcade lobbies facing Ctrl & Omni. I will find this Valkenhayn color from jp magazine or whatever. I must. GG's dude. It's cool, I've had similar experiences in the past.
  19. Do you guys want to do a three-man room? Welp, if anyone wants to play let me know.
  20. Looks like I'll have to be the mediator here. Okay, so, I tested out the combo in question on Jin (primarily), Hakumen, and Bang. At first I was having the same issue that Kiba is having on Jin, it blue beats at 6C. I did several tests and got the exact same results. Then I started to speed up the pace at which I executed the combo and it would red beat completely with no issue. Got it to work several times on Jin, Hakumen, and Bang. The issue here is most likely a speed-related one that has to do with the combo-timer. Speed up your inputs and it should work just fine, Kiba.
  21. GG's Aki and Omni. Ahhh, this delay at 11:00. Why must this happen to me. Rumor has it that every time I drop a j.236B > 1D > j.D combo on netplay because of delay a newborn baby dies. Valkenhayn mirrors are all over the place and it's kinda fun. That raw astral would have been great, I did it because you had a burst left and I didn't want to deal with it. Until next time. Playing against Omni is always kinda fun too because he'll whiff like 10 throws with Kagura just to get that astral. Stay godlike. GG's to both of you amigos.
  22. To be perfectly honest with you I prefer rushing Tager down anyways. It'd be different If I actually could zone him to death but since I can't I just end up running backwards for the entire fight. Upwards sparkbolt is actually a pretty good deterrent as well. Those gadget finger > rapid cancel set-ups were interesting, not sure how to react to those.
  23. GG's Ctrl and Lich. Losing to Tager feels so weird. Wonder if I can just run away from him until the time runs out like in Extend. I'll have to check out the details of his OD I guess. Kagura's theme is...the Pirates of The Caribbean theme song? Welp.
  24. Go to school son! GG's though dude. I will get this slightly altered route down eventually. I'll show them!
  25. Yes, exactly, this is the route that I was referring to. Just to do a quick comparison... vs (CO) 5B > 5C > 236C > Slight Walk > 2C > 6C > 2C > 6B > 2C > 236A > 2C > 5C > j.B > dj.B > j.C [3972 DMG] (first combo that I came up with off of the top of my head, might need optimization). Both combos do pretty much the exact same amount of damage yet the 2nd combo uses no wolf whatsoever, is executionally easier, and is universal. You can still end with a super (Konig Flug) or even Sturm Wolf is you're willing to shorten the end a bit. And of course the other combo that you provided does 4.2k and still uses no wolf command dashes. Aesthetically speaking I like your route though, and the 3C ender is better than the j.B > dj.B > j.C ender in my opinion so there's that. Plus you can end with Sturm Wolf whilst still doing the full combo. The thing that really holds me back with a combo like that is the fact that it's not universal though.
