  1. What. Are you telling me that after playing very long sets with people you don't become more comfortable with playing against them? We don't really need to try-hard 100% of the time because we already know what the other is capable of. Makes things much more lax and allows for more experimentation in my opinion.
  2. To heck with that. I prefer you (no homo). I'm not nervous at all when I play you so I can just do whatever and experiment. Great for training purposes.

  5. 6A is an S starter so there's really not much you can do there.
  6. 6A CH combos are kinda crappy to begin with. 6A in and of itself is crappy too. Honestly the best thing to do in a case like this is to use the combo that has the best corner carry & lowest wolf gauge usage. If the opponent is high enough you can confirm a 6A CH into 5C > j.D > w[j.A] but if not you have to use 5B if I'm not mistaken. Midscreen I normally just do 3C > 6D. Aesthetically speaking my ender of choice will always be w[j.C] > dj.D > j.C > (j.C) but in terms of oki I prefer the tk.214B > 6C > 3C ender. The 5B > 5C > tk.214B > Foward Dash > 5C >, etc route is not universal so I mostly prefer doing 5B > 5C > tk.214B > IAD > j.D > j.A > j.A > 5B > j.A > j.A > j.A > j.C > dj.D > j.C. Though I've actually been working on an alternative that is better than both albeit a bit harder. I always do sj.B> j.A > j.B > dj.B > j.C midscreen because it gives slightly better corner carry & slightly better damage. Even though it takes slightly longer to land I still prefer it. In the corner I just do the regular j.B > dj.B > j.C. The j.B > dj.B > j.C ender gives pretty decent oki in the corner but my god does it bore the hell out of me. I still use it very often though, but prefer the tk.214B > 6C > 3C ender. This combo has been piquing my interest for quite a while now. It's super simple and is very similar to our regular 5A > 5B > 5C > 6D > j.A > 5D > h[5B > 236A], etc route except it gives a relatively substantial damage increase for pretty much the exact same amount of wolf gauge usage. Though it feels a bit...unstable. And may contain certain character specific elements as well unfortunately. I'll have to do a bit more testing. There's also a few more combos that I need to add to this thread but haven't gotten around to yet, including some more character specific tidbits that we haven't fully addressed yet. Shyn, if I'm not mistaken we have a better cornered 236C route that uses less wolf meter & does more damage. I'm not certain about the character specifics yet so I'll hold off until I do some testing. Thank you so much for providing that character specific list by the way, really nice work.
  7. Every Valkenhayn should learn/know how to use the w[j.C] > dj.D > j.C > (j.C) ender. You're most likely going to be using it somewhere, and the oki it gives in the corner isn't too bad. You may want to tell me the specific combo that you're doing, but... Though it does seem to vary a bit on different aerial hitboxes. I'm currently in the process of trying to find a universal timing.
  8. ^Yeah, this is correct. Off of 6D it's 15 frames until you can do it. If the w[j.A] is not coming out at all you're most likely inputting it too early, whereas if it's coming out and not connecting properly you're most likely inputting it too late.

  15. Yeah, definitely not confident with my new stuff yet. Which is to be expected. Learned that one of my new routes doesn't work on Hazamas though, going to do some adjusting. Are you referring to Nacht Rosen? Because I do use the Nacht Rosen back to corner combos as much as I can since they're fun. But I'm talking about when I combo'd you in the corner but you escaped it via my Nacht Jager hitting you out. For Tsubaki, what's up with that big pink ball thing that gets in my way on the ground. Must be a new move. That new golden arrow distortion clearly has more invincibility than I initially thought. Seemed like I was only able to hit you out on it's early start-up. Nope.
  16. You didn't see me trying out new combos? Nacht Jager knocking opponents the wrong way is so annoying. Need to delay the 2C more. These new combos are extremely boring in comparison to my old ones and slightly less damaging but they're a bit better in a certain area that I need to explore more... I have no true power level though. See how free I am to Tsubaki?
  17. Woot. Using the wolf brake during pressure on netplay while using the Ps3 pad. They said that it couldn't be done! I sure showed them! In all honesty I could always do it but I never attempted it on CP netplay yet due to the executional requirements. You started to get used to my basic patterns so I felt that I needed to mix it up. Plus, after yesterday I decided that I needed to make some serious changes. Today was a beta day. A few of my core BnBs are going to be altered as well as a few of my blockstrings. Also, Tsubaki's DP. Where is the vertical hitbox on this thing. Getting hit at the top of the screen, damn. LOL.
  18. Today was such a "shut off your brain and play" type of day. Which actually wasn't too bad since it let me relax and just press buttons. Every time I drop 5C > 6D > j.A > 5D > h[5B > 236A], etc on netplay because of delay I die a little on the inside though. GG's to everyone I played. Also, Omni, I am so free. Was hoping that I could just go full-on-braindead mode with w[6D] rushdown at fullscreen but Kagura's purple ball thing kinda prevents it. Evidently I need to look up this guy's moveset, I could really never tell what he was doing. All I saw was purple mist. Purple mist of death. Pretty sure that he has a command grab too? That was cool. Got to test out my 6C > CT combo on Kagura and it works, yeah! The astrals made me laugh though, they were my favorite part of BBCP today, especially since you wanted them so badly. I was like "No, no, no. AHAHAHA".

  21. It's cool, I'm typically not very judgmental. Given the circumstances, you did well. Plus you seemed to have your combos down, more so than any other Izayoi I've fought thus far.
  22. Oh, that was you? I had a feeling that you weren't too happy with the set when we finished, but I really liked your Izayoi. Also learned that my 6C > CT combo doesn't work on her. Sorry to hear that you were having an off day, maybe next time I guess. Collapsed: Hi: I mean, like, I WANT to play against Kagura because he's interesting and I rarely ever get to. But you're one of the few people who actually WANTS to play against Valks, you've even went out of your way and deliberately went looking for them. In my experience the only people who ACTUALLY WANT to play against Valks are either masochists or psychopaths, the latter being the scariest. The last thing that I want to do is to potentially take a round off of you in BB and then find out that you're a loony who's going to come to my house and murder me.
