Without a gamertag I really have no idea who you are, and I generally warn people before I kick them. I have fairly bad eye sight and the training stage causes my eyes to lose focus and starts giving me huge headaches due to all the perfectly parallel lines (remember all dem optical illusions you watched as a kid?), not to mention the background fucking up my ability to discern height. So that's the reason. I generally only care if there's only two people in the room, because then even if I win I can't take the 1P spot, because BB is retarded like that. Fight my Hazama on the training stage and you'll notice a sudden upswing in failed SIR -> Devouring Fangs :p

Well it depends what you mean by "trap" are you talking literal zones that have hitboxes or do you mean just like a "setup" character? For the former, Rachel is probably the best match. Arakune really doesn't strike me much as a trap character honestly. If you want my biased, honest opinion I think Arakune should've been put in Gradius instead of BlazBlue (he was the reason I took notice of BlazBlue in the first place, he let me down in every way!). Platinum has items true but none of them are persisting-zones like Rachel's rods/frog. Nerd rage ahead:

They use vegetables actually. Best simulation for flesh sound without actually hurting someone. Slicing a lettuce in half is how a lot of "dismemberment" sound effects were made for your horror games! (with additional audio tweaking, obviously)

Those hit sound effects sound almost as bad as Guilty Gear's. I wouldn't be surprised if that's what they drew influence from too. Guilty Gear was like a non-stop barrage of firing shotguns into watermelons everytime someone gently tapped someone else on the shoulder. I love the new voices though, even Litchi sounds less grating. The way Hazama yells JAYOUKO HOUTENJIN is totally badass too. As for visuals, I REALLY miss CT's main menu, even if it was impractical. And I miss CT's announcer to death, by far the best one the series ever had.

that's why I chose him as my main, he's got the extremes of both ends of the spectrum in his playstyle. He's got super short-range attacks but also a really long range Drive, yet his long range Drive is also designed to enable him to close the distance.

Nothing wrong about that, my only point is that if you want to try an easy-to-learn a character to help ease yourself into the game, Hazama would not be my recommendation (nor would Rachel or Tager or Taokaka)

Yeah, I really wouldn't recommend Hazama as your first character if you're just getting into this game. The only specific thing you will hate about Makoto is failing to hit Level 3 on her drives (only whenever it actually matters, too!)

As a useless fun fact, it is possible to counter a Yukikaze with an Akumetsu, and two Fumajins cancel each other out! (I was hoping they'd permanently sustain each other )

ok my friend I usually have tough skin but I'm not willing to let that one slide. The situation you're describing was me getting corner locked by your Jin. You then used 623D, I blocked the first hit but you held the input (meaning you were going to go for the unblockable) I then rapidly tried to use Yukikaze and failed it (pushed D too early, got 2D) You hit me, I lost. Then you left after a dramatic pause like you thought I wasn't trying honestly or something (that was my impression). That's why I said "never seen someone fail an input online before?" I'd also like to point put that after you said "just try" I did indeed continue playing and trying by best with Hakumen with no further incidents. My first message wasn't even really confrontational, it was just me expressing my frustration at my shitty performance.

I know all about it, it happens when my opponents pick Noel and Litchi. I prefer to just try to 6B them to death on Hazama :p You should go play another game, that's what I do. Try playing Faster Than Light for a few minutes, when you look at the clock you'll realize it's actually been about 10 hours.

I just hope a Lambda palette is included. I vastly preferred Lamdba's color/lack of stupid voice vs. Ragna voice. Who knows, maybe this time her unlimited version will be Lambda just to make everything even more confusing

A useful tip I discovered just today for people who have family members who stream Netflix all the time. If they are agreeable, ask them to turn the quality settings down to "Low" instead of "High" or "Auto" this seriously reduces bandwidth usage by like 90% compared to high and definitely made a big difference to my games (had stutters all the time before, smooth-sailing afterwards).
