Apple head is the two strands of hair sticking up on her head (thus resembling the apple steam/leaf). They do it to make a character look young/foolish/cute but it just looks incredibly stupid to me, ESPECIALLY in sprite-form where we have limited room for detail with the pixels. Carl is an apple head too but he has the good sense to hide it with his overcompensation hat. Anyways, can anyone summarize for me what exactly Azrael's role is? I hear he's supposed to be part of S7 now (haha that'll last long...)

You know, I just realized. If you watch the CS story backwards you get a story of Hazama spending the entire arc trying desperately to dump Noel on someone else.

Well, I suppose I have less of a problem with the Tonfa themselves and more with the stupid design of them. If they were actually good looking, I'd agree with you.

Yes she would :/ She could still retain her "silliness" by simply winding up her arms instead of spinning the Tonfa. It would be a great combination of cartoony silliness mixed with badass-ness (which is main reason I like makoto as a character) when she hits you and you go flying/skidding across the screen. Her DD "punch" sprites don't even display the Tonfa anyway. Pretty sure her crappy "HD" sprites for her DD/AH do display them though. Hazama needs entertainment/victims.

It really is depressing how much BETTER this character design is, and it will never be allowed. Not only is the coat way cool, but the stupid-looking tonfa are gone. I would've vastly preferred Makoto to just be a hand-to-hand fighter. The only thing left to do is remove her apple head (WHO thinks this is EVER a good idea?!)

Sure, if people want them. I wouldn't mind making a set of wallpapers for all characters that follow this theme. If you want to save me the headache get me some nice high-res versions of your character's emblem and artwork first.

Hence the "quotation marks" but I still contest your point. If the opponent fails to emergency roll on 3C -> Falling Fang, you are capable of inputting 5C and there's nothing the opponent can do to avoid it. It's an extremely easy thing to confirm as well because if they don't emergency roll it's really obvious. Just load up training, turn off emergency roll and turn on "Wake-up: neutral" and you will see what I mean. It's definitely a legitimate tactic any Hazama should be aware of as it leads to a whole bunch more damage/meter. Even if the enemy mashes the shit out of neutral tech after failing the emergency roll, they will not be able to avoid the 5C. Thus being a "guaranteed" blue beat. I consider it thus because the Hazama as ample opportunity to confirm whether or not the the opponent emergency rolled, and whether or not to continue with 5C. I suppose the point I'm trying to make is that there's a definite difference between "comboing because you failed to tech" and "comboing because you failed an emergency roll" Sorry I should clarify: 3C -> Falling Fang -> 5C (blue beats but it's guaranteed if opponent does not emergency roll)

Is it a "guaranteed" blue beat if the enemy fails to emergency roll? That's how Hazama's 3C -> Falling Fang shenanigans work. Even though it's blue, it's actually a guaranteed combo.

If that's Azrael's "DP" I have a strong suspicion that it doesn't block/negate Lows, seeing as most people with stuff like that work that way (Tager's Voltic Charger, Litchi's easy-mode guardmove), would appreciate confirmation on that if someone can. I dunno if Amane's stuff goes Low or not though.

Just figured I'd share some BB doodles I've done. I'm terrible at coloring currently (if you couldn't tell from my avatar) so it's just a bunch of rough pencil sketches. I'm a very new artist so I can't honestly be all that proud of most of my work yet, these are the rare pieces that turn out "okay" amidst a massive pile of horribly bad failures. I generally like a fairly realistic art style, with non-exaggerated anatomy despite being Anime-style (sorry massive boob people, I'm not a fan). May as well just reduce it all to DPS and make this a Diablo discussion! Personally, I'm all for insane OD combos. It really should be the "OH MY GOD HERE GOES NOTHING" type of situation when you land a OD on someone with lots of OD bar (which means you must have low health) The thing to remember is that you can't OD if you Burst recently and vice-versa so you have to choose between offense or defense. It's not like OD is just always there waiting to insta-end the game.
