Awakening the Chaos was pretty badass. I had the same feeling I have about as the studio version: opera singing + guitar harmony is so much better than just solo singing. Once it hit the second chorus I was lovin it like I never loved mcdonald's.

Well, that's sort of precisely why people get annoyed at it. If you're going to win anyway, why not do a snappy quick little combo that kills them quickly and move on the next match instead of doing a long, drawn-out sequence that essentially just takes up time? A great example is how me and my friend, when we actually played MK, stopped doing/practically never did Fatalities because we were so damn tired of seeing them and wasting time. I AH all the time as well but I just figured I'd supply the opposite point of view.

I was under the impression that Haku-men's sword is sort of like the ultimate "cutting" weapon. It's capable of literally separating entities entirely from each other, like across time and shit. Arakune gets sliced by it in one of the non-canon endings and he's unable to regenerate because the the sliced parts are no longer "part" of him due to that property of Ookami. I think Relius mentions that the susano'oh can cut time itself.

Yeah I hadn't thought about the TV lag, but that was probably a big difference. I really felt like Kanji was doing stuff really slow as fuck when I played locally lol. I expected the opposite, I expected the game to feel a lot faster. I had to take a long time adjusting to do 5B > 2B offline with him. I personally feel like not having the audio is a really big issue. That's not a "legitimate" way to play a FG because some characters give such important audio cues, like Carl. Carl specifically calls out what move he's commanding Nirvana to use so that you have forewarning even when you can't see her. You completely lose that when you can't hear the game. You wouldn't have any idea that she's using her projectile or her 41236D offscreen. Going to try and play a bit, if my internet decides that's allowable... p.s. Hey, I've done both now and can confirm that this isn't true. The hardest thing I had to adjust to about playing local was simply the timing for execution. The rest was the same. And a big problem for me at an event like SaltFest was not being able to hear the audio of the game. That really negatively effected my performance for a while. No one needs to finish Mass Effect. To me FGs are the first genre that I've truly wanted to analyze and take to the next level. I've played other games competitively but mainly just for casual fun.

Did you see how a feature will be implemented for developers to block video capture of specific sequence in games? All games will be recordable except ones with AH in them.
