But still I don't think that means that every soldier in the NOL is corrupt and a bad person, I can see the higher ups being horrible people that pull the strings, but raw soldiers may just want their paychecks to feed their families and have no clue what's really going on.
-
In Jin's defense, we keep getting more and more hints and implications that he was being mindscrewed, manipulated, traumatized and corrupted by several things (memory loss, Yukianesa, the power of order, Hazama's control, traumas). Apparently, even the Ikaruga massacre wasn't his fault and was being directly controlled by Hazama again. Doesn't make him less of a horrible person, but it's different when you are pushed to be horrible and given some flashbacks and stuff, he was actually a decent guy before all the external factors kicked in.
-
I'll just repeat this: I dunno, but from what has been said of Azrael he is evil, or a complete psychopath at least. He isn't as evil as Terumi or Relius, but seriously we have been told the guy just to satisfy his hunger of battle attacks everything, doesn't care if they are friends or allies so long he can have fun. If Jin's comments are to go by the guy was a serious mass murderer, and Azrael really doesn't seem to think much of his many dangerous sounding nicknames, he even seemed to like the idea. I know he is badass, manly, awesome and everything, but that's not really a good reason to give him the "leather pants". He may be neutral in terms of what he has done regarding the two opposing sides of the current story, but pretending he is not a bad guy on his own behaviour is a stretch.
-
Yes Ragna has commited mass murder too (dunno if it was retconned, but anyways) the difference is we don't really have his motivations clear. Is easy to assume its revenge, but it's not like we have heard a clear explanation from him for his actions and even if it is, he at the very least was pushed to that path. It doesn't excuse the action itself at all, but it's a lot better reason than killing people because you want to "have fun". Besides, Ragna has shown to fight for those he cares about, risk his life for friends or allies and just let live when he isn't picked on for a fight (which the entire cast does) and he is opposing to the biggest monster in the story. Doesn't make him a straight hero, but it does push him to the good side.

And of course the possibilty of being immortal, that alone guarantees that he knows some neat stuff about the game's events.

I go with the artificial human one, that he was made to be an attack dog (no pun intended) for Sector Seven, was out of control so they gave him the Enchant Dragunov to take it easy, he didn't so they sealed him away. And now uses the seal to make fights interesting. Just specilation, no basis here
-
I see, it makes a lot of sense if he keeps blocking Ragna's full power to win. It's also pretty fitting for Terumi's way of doing things. And let's be honest, the Azure is what makes Ragna so deadly, without it he's still pretty strong, but not much difference with other tough guys of the cast. I mean, he was being pushed against the ropes by Azrael like all the other victims until he decided to use the Azure, then things got good.
-
I still don't get that. In CS I thought Ragna was being stomped because Terumi was blocking his Azure and when Lambda came by she allowed Rags to bypass that block, fight at full power and defeat Terumi. Then I thought things were simpler, Hazama was just stronger, Ragna got the Idea Engine and became even stronger and won. But now this happens, Terumi beats Ragna again. Did he just allow Ragna to beat him up in CS then?

I have rather mixed feelings with Azrael being OP. I mean, cool to have a new kind of bad guy around and he is pretty stylish at that as well, but I never liked when they more or less humilliate characters to make a newcomer look good. Some scenarios are more justified, like the character was told to be that strong or it's a new main villiain, I mean when you at least have a buildup to see the new guy stomp everyone. But with Azrael it kinda just feels they are trying too hard to cement him as resident badass. They could have go that way with him just fighting and leaving Jin, Valkenhay and Tager and kept going with Enchant Dragunov against Ragna for the same effect. On the other side, regardless of how OP Azrael is, he is just one shonen power up away from biting the dust in the story. Which is what Hazama is immune to, if he gets beaten he just has a backup plan.

Same here, that and the lack of an OST release
-
Liam O'Brien would be pretty nice as well. He could go an inbetween of his Asura's angry voice and his classic baritone. I always thought that Jennifer Hale would make a good choice for Bullet
-
Perhaps Amane? I dunno his voice is too classy for a beast like Azrael. Then again I may be underestimating his range
-
Okay...um, so sorry if a silly question, but who is this Kagura guy/girl/being Tsubaki mentions?
-
Izayoi is an anti phenomena intervention weapon? Kinda like the power of order or something? I keep wondering why that particular plot point remains untouched, they kept saying it's important but they refuse to dwell on it.
-
Well, Mori did say in an interview that he would try to make Rachel explain herself better this time around.
-
Dude, all these things are making me want the console version more badly... Say, on another point, but...what is Terumi and what is his objective exactly? I mean if it was destruction for the lulz he could have just let the Black Beast roam free or just make another one, but his plans are awfully complicated to be something that simple.
-
I actually wonder if at this point it's possible to have anything new in the story without a character going: "GASP, you can't mean that what I know but the players don't!". I mean have a surprise factor for the actual characters as well
-
-Noel: Oh my god, they cut off Ragna's arm/leg! -Makoto: You bastards!
-
Rags idea engine will be screwed over pretty soon. No way the evil duo would give him such a powerful power up without a plan to nullify it when they need to. Well, Tsubaki got the Izayoi upgrade (and her story pretty much shows she is in complete control of herself with all the nice power ups), Bang may get a boost if he gets to use his Rettenjo. Nu may have been tweaked or something to fight better and perhaps Tager may get some Pimp My Ride from Kokonoe. The ones that kinda need a power up but don't really have pointers for it are Makoto, Bullet, Carl and Tao.
-
Nu is still a villain, though, sure she has been through a lot of stuff, but she is still completely crazy with becoming whole with Ragna (dunno if you can call her obsession love) and pretty much willing to destroy everything else. Sure she is made adorable in gags and all, but that's the joke in itself. I really doubt she will be a good guy ever, I can see her going out forgiven when killed or something or being a major boss, though.
-
More cryptic nonsense that would be cool in any other story, but with the mess BB is it just comes as pretentious. But seriously, does Muel have access to that knowldege again?
-
1. Use all the setups he's been ignoring with Jin, such as the power of order and especially his character development. 2. Give a better overall explanation of the events, mystery is fun and all, but it's gotten to a point you just don't know what's going on here and there. 3. Show the backstories of some character such as Rags, Jin and Bang. To know what shaped them into who they are and more connections with the current story.
-
I thought it was like: -Jin: Gotta save Tsubaki *Sees Ragna* -Jin: Nisaan! -Ragna: Aw fuck... *They fight* -Jin: Isn't this fun, nisaaan? -Ragna: Isn't your girlfriend in danger or something, you moron?! -Jin: Shit! *Runs off*

There are good bunch of things that are used here and there constantly in the story and never properly explained.
