Okay, been checking the GG2 OST just for curiosity. Oh god, the eargasms. My favorites: Holy Orders, Dat Man and Diva
-
Question: Sol and Ky have several Vs themes? Sorry, I've only played two GG games so I really don't know
-
Oh god this is awesome
-
Wasn't Izayoi's personality the effect of that Mind Eater spell or something?
-
Well, he can go and try to save Litchi in the whole mess with Arakune and the NOL. He is getting a lot more serious on many things (without dropping his Bangness) so it does seem he is up to something. I dunno, perhaps being an Ikaruga Ninja allows him special bonuses with Rettenjo or something.
-
Yeah, Time Travel works fine when it's kept at bay. You dwell too much on it and a mess is all you get. I've thought for a while that Jennifer Hale would make a good choice for Bullet
-
I always got the idea that Jubei was pretty neglectful of Kokonoe and then tried to avoid that and ended up spoiling Platinum too much. Though Ragna is a more balanced result.
-
He is a pretty bad parent apparently *is shot*

From what I know the whole deal of using Kazuma's body wasn't just possess the guy, it needed quite a ritual to do so. Maybe he's bound to the physical body, and can't use it like a suit to take off and put on as he wants. Or perhaps he does, I dunno, after being killed by Relius to go visit the Takamagahara he seems okay when appearing in front of the heroes again.
-
I actually really like this, finally know well what happened.
-
I'd put Relius in Sector Seven as well.

The fag thing necessary? No, it wasn't, I'm sorry for that. I guess you're right about me overhyping Jin's moments, but they do give several things that can lead to that. We do receive lots of setups of him having an important role, the more the story advances hints of a more positive light is shown about him in his past and that somehow pretty much ended at some point and he became who he is now. And also he is promoted as one of the main heroes of the game (now if he lives up to that role in terms of doing something it's a different story). Jin has this thing that he has lots of good ideas in him that feel used wrong or poorly and they just keep saying he will be important at some point in the whole saving the world thing. If he was a villiain or a minor character there would be not much need of development, but he is a main character so compared to the other 2 he feels underplayed. But really seems I am asking for too much, whatever, let's stop this here, haven't changed my mind about the matter, but I'm dragging this far more than I should.

Well, if he's not gonna help, why take Jin in the first place? If it was a lost case why travel together? His crazy mode on Noel and Nu can actually be taken seriously, because it is played seriously, unlike the Nisaan mode. Jerk may stay, it's part of the character, I was just mentioning the stuff he needs to work on, not all should be fixed, but something. And epic stuff? Let's see, after almost two games of chasing a guy's dick and unceremoniously swatted aside by him, he: takes control of his evil weapon, gives quite a speech to Tsubaki (yeah I do find this "okay, enough of doing selfish shit, I am doing what's right for once" awesome, given the kind of person he was until that point), soundly defeats her, dispells Phantom's magic tackles the villiain who has been beating and mocking everybody and forces him to escape, encounters Phantom and lives (though this one may not be awesome, they may have fought or perhaps Phantom just left), and while he got his ass handed over, he could actually stall Mu for Ragna to arrive (and given their little dialogue, that was what he was aiming for). It may fall short to awesome moments of the likes of Ragna or Hakumen, but coming from a guy who all it did until that was have orgasms about Ragna it's a huge moment. Also the different attittude was great, he was actually being heroic, an ass but at least a heroic ass. Jin started out with dignity, as a renown hero and the rival, he lost it when his true colors were shown and was beaten like a bonus stage and actually got it back as a powerful force and potentially heroic person in CS. Also he is respected by Makoto, the only non mentally screwed member of the NOL, means the guy actually has decency in there somewhere. What I meant with try to kill him with dignity is, if Jin has to really got for Ragna, then at least show it has a deeper reason than "lol insane", use his regular assholic attitude or something, not Yandere mode for once. Not Jin winning, not them getting over his issues, I'd be happy if Jin is just his cold persona, fighting for something else than just being mentally screwed and acting like a fag. Long post is long.

You still have to consider Jubei was with him for a month, so what did they do in all that? Did Jubei spent that time doing nothing to help Jin's brother issues, especially when it also would help Ragna big time? I dunno, they clearly aren't aiming to make Jin threatening or scary, it's pure yaoi bait, with Jin sounding like on a constant orgasm is not what you'd want to give a full blown psycho. Doesn't help either that Ragna can stomp Jin whenever he feels like it. The way it has been exploited mercilessly by the writers reduce Jin to a joke when it happens. Hell, Ragna actually has to look over Jin so he doesn't hurt himself. And well nobody seems really disturbed by the crazy mode, just annoyed. I guess it has to do with us getting our hopes up with Jin actually getting epic in CS. After all the epic stuff he pulled, and as BlackYakuzu94 said, speaking normally to Ragna, you'd expect some change. But still a major league jerk, still a yandere, still no power of order, going to save Tsubaki is a step yeah, but given the speech they had more than growth it feels like it fall short, given how much development Jin needs. This is more of a fan wish, but if their not gonna let go of his hunt for Ragna, at least allow him to try to kill him with dignity. It's just...that...that fucking yandere mode. I am actually worried that after saving Tsubaki he goes CT on Ragna again.

Yeah, Mori's gonna kill his pet. If anything Ragna will die on a heroic sacrifice moment or Hakumen to pass the torch to Jin or something.

If you're gonna call Noel a sue...she kind of comes more as an Anti Sue than anything. And yeah,, both voice actresses that do her voice are excellent.

Velvien's Fanfiction (and possibly other stuff)

It would be so fitting for Tsubaki actually. And then having a shakesperean drama over aprehending Rags or meeting Jubei. -
To me Noel feels out of place. Well she is in story, but I mean her cute, shy personality and clumsiness would be pretty endearing if BB was a comedy or slice of life. Yet she's the main character after Rags, you kinda want some competence and the story repeatedly shows she's bad at everything, her accomplishments are because something or someone else is babysitting her and still has a load of plot bias. *shrugs* I don't hate her, though, but she does get on my nerves at moments
-
This is mostly a guess but I think: -She's a blind (no pun intended) justice follower when one of the most shown things in BB is that the NOL is corrupt, justice is empty (unless your justice is like Bang's which is more of doing what you think is the right thing) And she lashes out at some characters based just on whether they fit her ideal of justice or not, kinda what happens with Ragna. She's also very narrow minded. -Her jealousy is never backed up properly. Okay she loves Jin, but Jin is never shown loving her back, they are not a couple, yet she goes apeshit whenever a girl pretty much looks at him. That's not romance, that's an obsession, an issue. She was willing to go get her best friend for him without much doubts. -The whole situation could have been talked through, sure Tsubaki was angry but it was just silly, taking in count Noel does respect Jin for some reason, but doesn't like him as a person and Jin hates Noel. -The romance with Jin feels, forced, rushed, unexplored, and not very convincing. They give us symbolism, theme songs, a try to make a drama out of it. But we never get to see them having chemistry, we see Tsubaki fangirling over Jin like 97 percent of the girls of the academy, but never see or hear Jin say something or think remotely romantically about her. For all we have Jin could just like her as a cousin or friend, sure he is out to save her, but he also did that for Makoto who isn't a love interest. The whole jealousy sub plot could have worked better if Jin and Tsubaki had been in a relationship, broke up because of Jin's mental issues, both still like each other, Noel gets to be Jin's secretary and Jin actually gets along with Noel so it does seem the wrong way. Or something like that. But in order to keep Jin's psychosis, it just falls short any romance they try tu put there.

Yaaay! Rags is here! On the good side some interesting info will come from him! On the bad side, Jin is about to completely lose all his dignity. -
Velvien's Fanfiction (and possibly other stuff)
NovaFortuna replied to Velvien's topic in Zepp Museum
Hey, Velv. Doing well? -
Tsubaki is likely with all her justice and stuff. Bang too given he is the most classically heroic attitude of the cast.
-
Daww, Platinum was so adorably annoying in this one.

r WARNING - LONG ASS POST AHEAD: It's mostly an in universe thing and nothing else. Ragna suffers from bad reputation but he has a ton of heroic and downright awesome moments that show him in a better light than his brother. Jin on the other hand is well known and respected by other soldiers but what players see is a selfish bastard who only cares for his own desires, at least until CS rolled along but only got a bit better as shown in CP. If you think about it most of Jin's achievements turned out to be fakes or empty, while his crowning one the Ikaruga war, was just a setup by the NOL. While Ragna's achievements may seem minimal, they are at least meaningful. I also think their development as characters work in a different way. I can see Ragna not needing to shape up much more now because life already put a toll on him and made him the person he is right now. Jin on the other hand seems to have been pushed to the rock bottom of human misery by mind screws, manipulation and etc. And now must play his role, but unlike Ragna who has the mindset for it, he has to get his, given that the Hakumen paradox didn't occur and he is a different individual that has to grow on his own and not rely and a scripted event to fix him up. IMO, that' because Jin is a poorly handled character. The concept he has as rival, false hero and psycho is pretty good, but the way it has been pulled in the games is (in my opinion) badly done. The development and growth is there, or at least the plan to make it is there, but the way it has been shown it's rushed at moments and wasted in others. Doesn't help his rivalry with Ragna is actually pretty meaningless aside some criptic prophecies, Ragna sees him as a nuisance, their encounter are always near the climax where Jin is overshadowed by bigger threats, their difference in power is too big and other events pretty much take way any chance of actually dwelling on their relationship. And all of this really hurts given that for two games Jin's character revolved around Ragna.

The NOL may be putting order to the world, but it's still a tyranny. And humankind isn't as screwed as they can't restore civilizations with time without being led by the hand. The NOL does a good job, but if they were such a wondorous leadership as you say why nations like Ikaruga would actually rebel. And can you really say that a policy of exterminating everything that opposes you is not oppresion? Not saying they are completely corrupted, but they are not clean. The NOL exterminates anything that escapes their rule, that alone may be the sole reason there isn't another kind of government around. One of the main themes of the game is rebellion, Ragna pretty much fights for an idea of freedom and free will which is pretty much what the NOL tries to prevent. You're pretty much stretching things so he comes out as the devil destroying paradise when that's far from being true. Also I don't get something, you say Ragna is evil because he kills people and Azrael is a neutral quickly judged when he has done the same thing?
