  1. Meter is the sixth one on the list. Not sure about HP replenishment.
  2. It's less getting an actual "feel" for them as much as it is just simply doing the combo until it becomes ingrained within your muscle memory., towards the point where you can perform it without really paying much attention towards how you perform it. I doubt you're still checking this thread O.P., but if you are, then listen to the people who said that, because it is very fine advice. Oh, and BIP, since you're new, a tip: Challenge combos suck. They're either impractical or not the best thing you're allowed to do within the situation. Go look up the combos from the character subforum combo threads or make them yourself using the frame data/ trial and error (Preferably frame data, that's generally quicker).
  3. Yes. You can input any of the fish varieties either for the first or second. Oh, and welcome. Any more questions, go and look up the AC system mechanics and Dizzy frame data pages on the wiki, and Bizarro's beginners guide and the combo and oki sections within her subforum. Oh and questions done, somebody lock please.
  4. Yes. 214, then the input for the first fish, then the input for the second.
  5. I'm not entirely sure if you are confusing it with Skullgirls, but that feature definitely isn't included.
  6. I can play now if you want~
  7. Does it? I never played it. Still, the amount of options available is impressive. ... Can Melty allow you to position yourself at certain places on reset? Also, found a really, really simple Qdora BNB for anybody who wants it: Confirm to 2B, 5C, 4D, 421C. Give knockdown, does alright damage (1302 from 5A > 5B) and only costs 18% of her D gauge. Edit: Oh what the fuck. Adjustable percentages for the probability of a throw tech. Oh and slightly better version of above BNB: Confirm to 2B > 5C > 2C, 5B > 5C > 4D > 421C (Needs to replace the 5B with 5A from 5A/2A > 5B).
  8. I'd say this is the most detailed training mode ever. I mean, when you enable the input showcase, it displays the exact amount of frames the input existed for, and even the gaps between inputs. I mean, holy shit.
  9. Front and back recovery is slightly quicker than neutral. Go set it to that. If that's what you've already been doing, of course, then I'm not entirely sure what the problem is.
  10. It's not "dancing around it". It's a specific answer towards your question, and one that fully explains the fact that the only way to know who you want to play is to play them. Hell, if you're really going to be so obstinate, then I'd say it would be fine to skip the "play them" portion and just go watch match videos and get information about their advantages/disadvantages. Koogy and Turbovecsrk made a fine breakdown with said examples here. Go look at that if you want. Oh, and yes, good shit Watches. If that gets filled up and otherwise edited somewhat to suit the general viewership rather than the O.P., I'd believe it could become a front page post. Edit: Also: Lol at Adel being bluntly honest about your attitude and you pretty much admitting he's correct within doing so.
  11. Yup, pretty much. Also, Japanese sweets are fucking strange. Didn't mention that. And I'd be fine to play day one P4A. There's little reason for me to ask otherwise, lol. FIVE DAYS PEOPLE.
  12. Oh, so you were asking for a main. In which case, yes, that is very real advice and I suggest you read it rather well. The best way to pick a main is to both try to have experience with them and look up match videos, information on the forums, ect., to have a fine idea of all the characters within the game and which one you'd prefer. At the very least, I'd do it just to have some prediction of the opponents capacities/faults/anything else that you may find useful.
  13. I'll try to view it. Maybe actually be part of it if BB starts working again. Also, Manga Bazaar was sort of sucky on the Guilty front. Mainly because I didn't actually get to playa any: It said "Guilty Gear on Xbox". Unfortunately, I just took this as AC on 360: It was actually #Reload on a previous generation Xbox. Meaning my stick wasn't compatible (I do not intend to play pad again) and I would have to play a version of the game I have no experience with (And maybe gain some experience with said version, which I have no plans to play). However, I did get the email address and location of another BB player, who seems to be interested within picking up GG as well. With some fortune, I may have an opportunity to actually play these games with someone who has some idea of how to do so offline! He lives within Liverpool, which is apparently some time away, but I believe it's closer than anybody here (Is it? If I am prepared to visit him, I'd gladly do the same to one of you) and we have contact information. Also, the event as a whole was actually O.K. The fanart was sort of shoddy, but there was some cosplay ranging from "would be fine if not for the build of theconcerned" to rather excellent (There were two Madoka's, some P3 and P4, some Haruhi, some Hetalia some Vocaloid, some Star Wars (Although that's obviously not entirely fitting lol), some Bleach, some from things I haven't seen/read, and a half assed Durarara attempt that involved bringing grandparents along for as such), and 10% off everything (Even the non - manga stuff!). I didn't win anything in the raffle though. ;_; . Will probably be going towards the next one as well, if partly for the fact that, apparently, they intended to have a Dizzy figurine for said raffle, but it didn't arrive within time. So, yup, offline games may finally be here. Also, does anybody have any plans for P4A release day? Completely unexperienced FT20's, maybe? (Oh, and sorry for this post being detailed about something most of you probably don't care about, but it was pretty much required for me to say such details as to give a valid portrayal of how the event wasn't really as shoddy as I thought it was... Except within the one aspect that I thought it wasn't going to be. Eh.)

The description of the link is something involving banks, so it's probably not an actual location thread.
  16. Actually, he did specify that he wasn't exactly looking for a character to play (Although I'm not sure why exactly the thread would be titled as its seen now). He was just requesting to know who, exactly, plays in the ways he was specifying. Although what you just said is very fine advice and I'd recommend he consider it.
  17. Venom or Dizzy, pretty much.
  18. Well, to be honest, most of the forums do have mods which at least still use the site semi regularly. That's probably enough to keep things O.K. There's also the case of the Testament mod, who I don't think has posted here for some time (Maybe because Sweden has a large enough scene as to have it's own board), but at least we know he still plays due towards the podcast project he was involved within relatively recently.
  19. Actually, I may be going to London sometime during the summer or some other holiday of enough length. It's not definite yet, but I can certainly see it happening. So, if that does indeed take place, then everybody who's available come there and see me play fighting games and argue about anime in person rather than throughout the internet.
  20. Oki combos, yes, but not the actual oki. Which is the important part. And the oki combos are easy by the way, they're generally the same knockdown combo plus hits from summons/a bubble combo if the starter isn't a throw and is landed on certain characters within the corner (Some require more momentum than the small amount you'd probably have if said starter would be 2K, however, thus making IAD J.2S the single option for landing that outside of the situational counter hit stuff, which generally doesn't get you a knockdown). As for offline, nope. This is U.K., remember. However, apparently a nearby mall's waterstones is holding one of their "Manga Bazzar" events this sunday. I expect the event to be at least somewhat patronizing to any fan of the medium over 12, but they did advertise it as having a 360 available with Guilty allowed to play (And only Guilty at that, so no getting drowned out via other games). It's slightly improbable, but there may just be some actual offline competition there, and if there is, them being there would lend a higher chance of them living within the area, or at least closer than anyone here. If not, then eh, maybe I'll try and get some that are already attending (Some lurking BB players maybe?) into trying it.
  21. This actually may be a fine idea, although Dizzy's dead angle sucks, so it would take some care. Doesn't really matter if your opponent almost never blocks it anyway. Yes, that's what I was saying. The problem is that I consistently decline to execute it correctly. If I had (And actually confirmed into things that gave it, or even things that actually hit, Zappa's hitbox is pain) I probably would have won more. I was actually doing that initially lol. Still trying to find a way to deal with sword. And go work on that, then you'll probably turn those bodyings into utter rape. Is it actually sufficiently negative?
  22. GG's towards Darret and Seo. Holy shit, it actually seems as if I do exactly the wrong thing at the wrong time. Failed oki, shoddy hitconfirms, constantly hit by overheads. I even lost a match against Darret's Pot. I'm getting slightly better though, I guess. Actually using fish to get in now lol. Need to stop just straight rushing at things with pokes, not always a fine idea. Going to work on that oki along with ice spike FRC. Also Jam matchup seems sort of strange, at least compared towards other things I've played. Fist - Lol, what was his name? If BB starts working again and the connection works, I may play him. Or perhaps I've seen him. Yuki - Why Arakune? Seems sudden.
  23. I'm available for Guilty if you want.
  24. Eh, that's fine I guess.
  25. I'm personally just wondering as towards whether anybody's had any intentions concerning the matter, or whether there are any valid, willing replacements The rest just seem to be advising that, if someone's going to be chosen, it would be best to be him.
