ummmmm, ok. Guess I have to answer this question myself after these last few posts. As far as competitively viable characters go, it's pretty much the general consensus that ASW hasn't really made a character that isn't viable since BBCS1 Rachel and Tsubaki. Of course, P4U and P4U2 are no exceptions to this and all the characters in both games are competitively viable. That said, in both Persona games, there are 2-3 characters at the bottom end of the tiers that require more effort to consistently win than the rest of the characters. They have their own strengths, just like all the other characters but successfully executing the gameplan consistently will require a high level of skill on your part. One final thing. Misinformation from players who have a...well, lets say "incomplete" understanding of the game is unfortunatley a real thing you need to be looking out for here on Dustloop. If you have an important question about Persona and you're unsure about the quality of the answer, please don't be shy to ask one of the more trustworthy players through PM or twitter or something if you need to.

You're in luck. A few weeks back, Lord Knight did a character overview video that covers every character's basic gameplan. It should answer all your questions. Check it out

awwwww, I was sort of hoping to see if we could go 2/2 with Pizza Pizza forgetting our order and making us wait almost an hour :P Jokes aside, this sounds pretty interesting. No allergies on my end so no worries. -

Assuming we're talking about the localized copy and the physical disc, I think the only option Aksys has given us is videogameplus.ca. I've never ordered from them before so I wouldn't be able to comment on how quick they deliver. I definitely wouldn't order from Amazon but then again, I'm probably still very salty about having to wait a week and a half for my BBCS Extend Limited Edition. Though I should also say now that the chances that you'll be able to get a physical copy anywhere (Including America) on the day of release is sketchy based on BBCS Extend and BBCP's release. Aksys really drags their feet when it comes to shipping the physical copies from the warehouses. Sometimes, they don't even do it until the day of release. There's a good chance most people won't get it until Wednesday in America, Thursday in Canada unless you live in certain parts of Toronto but we'll see. Personally, I'm going digital this time around. I'm getting it for the PS4 so I didn't really see the point of getting a physical copy to begin with since if I wanted to play it outside my house, I'd probably have to bring my PS4 as well anyway, lol. -
All right then. Guess I'll send him a PM then. As far as people still not playing Bullet, to be honest I think it comes down more to there being 28 characters in the game and the amount of footage we're getting of the game is little. Together, it's hard for there to be a lot of footage of any character really unless a big name player does a vs The World sort of thing. We'll just have to be patient.

Thanks for the extra info guys. I've updated the OP with everything but Sadeyo's 6B no longer OTGing since you were unsure about that one. I'll try and dig through the CP2 Bullet footage to confirm that one later this weekend.

Just chiming in quickly to say I've created a topic to compile all of Bullet's final CP2 changes into. If I missed something, be sure to let me know! Also, has anyone contacted Prototype about the new 2.0 video and combo thread yet?

Compiling Bullet's Final changes into one topic/place. Post any new finds here and I'll be sure to add it to the OP Officially announced changes: D normals are now special cancellable Miquelet Capture can now be stopped early by pressing B Charged Flint shooter changes properties with Heat Level. With Heat, it'll travel along the ground like regular flint shooter before exploding. H2 Charged Flint Shooter travels farther than H1 before exploding. Other changes: A blocked 5D/j.D causes Bullet to bounce back away from the opponent H2 Wadcut Engage (D Normal Drive Follow Up) now wall bounces, even midscreen Piercing Engage (Miquelet Capture Drive Follow up) wall sticks in the corner Explode Engage (Cutting Shear Drive Follow up) now wall bounces 2B > 6B Gatling added 2C > 5D gatling removed 2nd hit of 2C is now special cancellable 3C > 5D gatling added CH j.C no longer ground bounces but has enough untech time to get a combo from it still Miquelet Capture launches the opponent lower and not as far. Opponents now have to be juggled with 5A instead of 5B in corner combos CH Miquelet Capture is comboable midscreen - Video (Shoutouts to ShinMechaMacGyver for finding it) CH Cutting Shear causes a juggle state, allowing combos without RCing or using the Drive Follow Up Ground Snaphance Fist can be comboed from without spending heat by using a 5B juggle - Video

hmmmm, if it's mostly just for fun, I guess there's no harm in throwing my bag of tricks into the ring. You can count me in, Buttface.

I think the pushback on the pushblock on its own gives you enough space that you should be back to neutral. What you do from there though will depend on the matchup really. In some matchups, it might be better to retreat some more. In other matchups, creating more space might be your doom and it would be better to try and get back in instead. Experiment a little and see what works and what doesn't in each matchup.
-
- You were too passive at the beginning of the match. While it's true that being too aggressive can lead to you getting blown up, if you're too passive and don't control your space, then you just end up rolling out a red carpet for your opponent to just walk in and start pressure like the Yukari did at the beginning of the match. You need to find a balance between being aggressive and being passive. Though, you shouldn't worry too much about it now. The balance will come naturally with time and experience so long as you keep reviewing your play. - There was some good uses of sweep as a poke in this match but I'm not sure C Platinum Disc is the best followup, at least in this matchup. Feels like knocking Yukari full screen away is the opposite of what we want in this matchup. Consider going for 236B Oki instead? - @ 2:30 Choose when to DP carefully. Your opponent's options are limited at this range and in the air, giving you safer alternatives in this situation. - Finally, I don't think I saw you finish one combo. That's okay. We're all like that when we first start out. Just be sure to set aside some time in training mode to practice every now and then and you'll get there. Well done, keep at it. Good luck and be sure to have fun!

[Xrd] News & (Theoretical) Gameplay Discussion
RurouniLoneWolf replied to Shinjin's topic in Guilty Gear General
I'm not too worried about these sort of things for console release, at least for the netplay side. Netplay has a much wider demographic than local scenes and local arcades. Finding people your skill level to play and train with is fairly easy so long as you put in the effort to reach out to others. And then of course, there's also the flip side of the coin that you won't have to pay money every time you get destroyed by a GG vet. So playing sets where you get completely destroyed isn't that big of a deal either. Newcomers should do fine...well so long as they enjoy the game enough to stick with it. -

Not that I'm interested in this conversation in one way or another but I believe the high barrier of entry that was being spoken about is GG vets being so good that they scare off newcomers. -
Not a lot of takers so far. Come on, guys. Don't make me sign up. No one wants to see me play ;.;

Real Talk: Are there even 10 Marie players in existence? lol. Unfortunately, someone of my skill level is of no use for these sort of things so I'll have to pass.
