Well, the page exists but it's mostly empty so I wasn't really sure how up to date/accurate the info on it is. Using Arcana/system options makes sense. This is my first Arcana Heart game and I've been spending a lot of my time getting used to homing movement so I haven't really gotten around to looking to deeply into system stuff. Maybe there's something there I can use to deal with jump ins. Also, I had no idea that Extended Blast could do that but maybe I'm thinking of the wrong thing. Gah, guess I'm burying myself in the wiki tonight. Thanks for all the advice!

Montreal: Le Thread Generale Pour Weeaboo Fighters

I'd indeed be down for the 22nd -
Hmmm, I see. Thank you for your impressions. It pretty much matches my thoughts from watching videos. Oh well. I'm still very much in this to win it with Labrys. I'm looking forward to playing her next week. Also, guess I'll hop in on that Skype chat and put my skype to use, lol

Interesting. That's a nice trick. I'll have to keep it in mind when I get the game next week. Though, I hope ASW eventually adds in a "Start at Axe Level X" setting to go along with the Fixed ones. So, how's everyone enjoying the new Labrys now that they've had their hands on her for about a month? In particular, I'm curious what people think of the new pressure options.

Yeah, I was afraid of that. Guess I'll just have to get creative when dealing with people pressuring up close. Thanks again for the quick reply!

Actually, due to the magic of time zones, she should be released sometime tonight, which means you only have to wait a few hours. Escalate your hype appropriately!

What are people's thoughts on AAing people with this character? Last night, I was experimenting with 2B. It worked great in neutral but against a Saki doing divekicks up close in pressure, I kept whiffing and getting blown up because of the narrow hitbox and angle of 2B. Are there any better alternatives for up close AAing?

Corkscrew flings the opponent across the screen but it has enough untech time that you can just run up and be in their face when they can finally tech. Watch some matches of Domi and other Akihikos in the video thread to see what I mean. As for pressuring Akihiko from max range, I can't really say anything since I don't know about Akihiko's defense in that great of detail and I'm still experimenting to try and find answers myself across all the fighting games I play. Though, I feel like the most important clue here is that usually max range pressure options are fairly negative on block, giving an opportunity to close the gap.

Ah, I see. I guess I'll use what's in the original AH3 page then as a base and experiment from there. Thanks for the quick reply!

Poison does damage over time. The Dustloop Wiki has a page on Status Ailments that describes the Poison effect in greater detail though. It's worth a quick read.

So I'm picking this game up today with the NA release. I'm curious if there's any place that has some combos listed and if a lot of her wiki page for the original AH3 pretty much carries over into Love Max in general. Anyone happen to know?

I've seen one or two people on last weekend's RebelUp stream and Brett's Online tourny playing Marie but that's about it. That said, you can always look for matches on the match database on horibuna for Niconico stuff. Here's Marie's page if you're intereseted

[XRD] Sin Kiske Gameplay Discussion "Playing with Poles"
RurouniLoneWolf replied to Ventus Tatshima's topic in Sin Kiske
Thanks for compiling pictures of all the moves, SolxBaiken. It helps a lot. The notes are pretty good too. I'm going to wait and see what the startup is like on Bull Bash and Elk Hunt and what's the reward but right now, their ability to give high/low mixup combined from the range they hit shows promise. I'm trying to imagine what we could use the P Hop for but nothing is coming to me. Got to brainstorm more. -
Looking at Reku's beginner combo video again, there's a dl between the Bs in 5BB. I think you might have to do a small delay before you press B a second time.

[XRD] Sin Kiske Gameplay Discussion "Playing with Poles"

More gameplay footage http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eiuUE1smi34 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SS2QKB2ltzw https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ALizriqAVy4 Taking back what I said about the levels of eating. After more observation, it seems to be based on how hungry you are when you eat. If the hunger gauge is empty, eating seems to give you back about 60-66% of the gauge. If the gauge is about less than half full, eating gives about 30-33% and if you are above half full, eating recovers the gauge by a small amount. -

Doesn't seem like a backdash since it sends him about half a screen forward. Just to be sure we're talking about the same thing, this is the command hop of him catapulting himself forward with the flag -

A controllable RTL? If it's true, that would be pretty neat. Not quite sure how to best make use of it though. Maybe I'll get some ideas with more gameplay footage. Yeah, Refill after knockdown is definitely nice. I'm very curious to see the strategy of managing the hunger gauge develop. With the 3 different levels of eating, it feels like there's a lot of flexibility here. Hope more footage gets released of Sin though. I want to see what he can really do if he goes nuts with Hunger gauge. -

[XRD] Sin Kiske Gameplay Discussion "Playing with Poles"
RurouniLoneWolf replied to Ventus Tatshima's topic in Sin Kiske
First Gameplay Footage of Sin Stuff I noted: - As promised, this character has some good range on his normals - Using specials when his Hunger gauge is empty seeems to make him go into a forced "Man, I'm starving" animation - Seems to have 3 different levels of eating. Short animation = small hunger gauge recovery, Medium animation = medium hunger gauge recovery, long animation = large hunger gauge recovery - Seems to have a command hop by using his pole as a catapult? - his RTL goes forward at first but then goes diagonally up. Funky. - Fireball super seems good for covering refilling some hunger gauge. -
Yeah, TD, your issue sounds like a portion of your HDD might have gotten corrupt somehow unfortunately. Issues like this tend to occur when the system tries to read or write to bad sectors on the drive. I think the only real options you might have is attempting to restore the file system, formatting or replacing the HDD. Sucks that this happened.

You don't have to wait until you have the game. You can get them for free when they first come out on the 30th and when you get the game, they'll be waiting for you.
