I did do it that way but I have a lot of trouble going from training mode to a real match with pretty much everything I do. I might be able to consistently get it one day but I need to get rid of some bad habits and build some good ones when I play in matches first. ;.; at the first part. Wow, that golden arena gameplay was godlike. I'm pretty impressed with the skills Yukiko can get from that mode. The CPU Labrys seemed to have permanent red axe. My dreams of playing a perma red axe Labrys in this mode are starting to feel realistic ^,^

...Stuff... Now then, on to other things. Congrats to Heartless and Thelo for winning the Round Robin and GG tournament respectively. Running that GG bracket was great. I'm a lot more confident/ready to run brackets at UMAD now. Personally, I found the round robin very interesting because it gave me a chance to see how comfortable I am with a variety of matchups. The final tally in my head went Reyn, since you were asking about it last week, here's the info for the official Evo SG side tourny. Pools are Friday, Top 16 or 32 is on Saturday night. Register online to save $5 or pay $15 when you get there. Also, it hadn't occurred to me until now because I forgot this was even an issue at Evo but have you put some thought into what controller you're going to use at Evo? Lately, I've been letting people convince me to play. Need to get back to actively dodging and refusing!

Once again, this tier list is for 1.02, not 1.1. It's kind of impossible to have a good tier list for 1.1 since it's barely a week old. Not that I actually ever agreed that Narukami was definitively better than the characters in the tier right below him or that Liz was definitively worse than the characters in the tier above her. Well, maybe Junpei since I haven't been keep track of him.

Habs game last night was pretty exciting. I really started getting into it during the third period. Looking forward to the next game. Also, playing last night confirmed something for me that I was suspecting since I played last Thursday. From here on, I'll have to do my best to not play while I'm at Foonzo... Nanase is looking more and more to my liking. From the 4Gamer screens, I'm really liking the move where she dashes past an opponent, leaving a slash and a tornado behind her and the move where she summons a small horizontal tornado in front of her, going out from her arm. Might end up playing Nanase as much as Orie at this rate, lol.

Woah, you can dash cancel Hojuu pretty early now. I have now gone from being eh to being pretty happy with this change EDIT: Also, it feels like although you start with green axe, you're still gravitating to blue. Maybe it's just my imagination.

Hope the footage shows off Rise gameplay. The stuff we've seen so far is good but I usually need to see things in motion to fully appreciate them.

Thanks for the new info Tokkan. That level up screen for Golden Arena Mode sounds pretty cool. I'm hoping it's possible to be able to get a permanent Red Axe buff for Labrys in this mode, lol.

Nanase's art really is nice. I hope the full article goes into her gameplay. If she turns out to be a bit of a speedster character, I might play her a bit too. Also, since this game releases in 3 months, I should start patrolling import sites so I can place my preorder. Ah, I see. I didn't know that. Thanks for telling me! I'd be pretty happy with ASW quality online as well. That said, it's still unclear if ASW is going to be doing anything on the development side of things. Hopefully, the full article can shed some light on this.

Nice. Is that Mori holding up the Magazine? Can't tell with the magazine in the way. Though I can't see it clearly, I really like Nanase's character art. I'm looking forward to hear more about her, hopefully in the article that should be releasing tomorrow. A bit late but on the topic of localization, I wouldn't say the chances for UNiB to be localized is terrible. ASW did localize Chaos Code after all and UNiB has more going for it, including being from the developers that made Melty. That said though, if they do decide to do a localization, I'd be surprised if it wasn't 6 months to a year later. Highly recommend importing if you're interested in the game. Also, I'm not too worried about online in terms of player base. I think we can get a decent dedicated fanbase going for this game. I know I at least plan to play this game regularly so look forward to playing my terrible Orie and Yuzu! That said, I'm much more worried about the quality of the online itself. Building a solid player base will become much harder if the quality of the online isn't at least decent. Hopefully, the article talks more about how they plan to implement online.

August release date is nice, especially if the September release for US is correct. New game mode sounds awesome. Looking forward to hearing more about Rise's gameplay. Might have to start the idol fan club if I'm impressed :P
