  1. ugh, yeseterday went pretty bad. Think I'll go back to watching next week while I come up with a new game plan. Thanks for the matches everyone. Oh, cool. Looking forward to those, especially the Bullet one. Nope. We've never played before but I'll be sure to play you next time we're both at Foonzo so I can experience your current science first hand ^,^ Just out of random curiosity, are you guys planning anything special for day/week 1 of CP at Foonzo? Those matches yesterday were ridiculously hype to watch, lol. I'm looking forward to seeing more of this crusade.
  2. So according to the early loctest #2 translation notes, they changed it so our axe level no longer carries over to the next around. Discuss! Personally, I'm indifferent about the change since it was always easy to lose axe level and I always played in a way where I was pretty liberal about spending the axe meter. Not being able to hold the button to delay Tsurugi though is a bit of an odd change.

  5. Goes without saying I'll be playing P4U2 with my favorite student council president with a giant axe ^,^ Didn't know AH3 Love Max was getting a console port. Might be time to jump on the Arcana bandwagon. The last month before release is always the worst, always feels like an eternity. Arcade/King of the Hill style sounds pretty interesting. I'm looking forward to seeing that. I also hope that will be the English name. It's going to look hilarious on the box art.
  6. No idea. Best bet is to check the twitter of people who went last time like Jiyuna and Stunedge. Now that I know that the S-Hold system can make more than 1 skill come out, I'm even more curious about the S-Hold system than before. Hopefully we get a lot more details on it this weekend.
  7. Thanks for the subbed trailer Flux. Winter 2013 arcade release? Just according to Keikaku. With Xrd releasing in the spring, a late november/december release was always logical to me and still is the most logical. Can't wait to spend Day 1 of arcade release hungrily searching for Labrys footage. Loketests are more for testing balance than they are showing off new stuff and 1 weekend with the game is hardly enough time to see what players can find. In particular, now that people have a better understanding of what the new tools and properties are and what they do, we might see some early combo paths and gameplans develop in this weekend's loketest. If the game is releasing in winter 2013 or even before 2014, I think there's a good chance we'll get the console release about the same time as E3 but it's hard to tell. IMO, I think it will pretty much take the same amount of time to go from Arcade to Console as P4A. Developers tend to work faster when they are being paid by someone else to do things. Also, I suspect that with the P4A series that Atlus mostly handles all the story mode related stuff (Art, dialogue, structure, etc.) themselves and all ASW has to do is implement it. This would not only lighten ASW's workload but also allows that stuff to be worked on right away since Atlus doesn't have to worry about the arcade release too much outside of arcade mode dialogue and endings. I wouldn't worry too much about the NA localization either. Atlus USA will probably do localization themselves and are seasoned localization vets. I was pleased with how quickly P4A got localized.

  13. Not sure I'd really say Bullet has poor reach. 5B, 2B and JB all have good reach. I think Bullet's only problem at the moment is that opening people up is not trivially easy. We might/probably will see an improvement in this area when the console version drops in a month and people can experiment setups to their heart's content. And if it doesn't, meh, I'm used to it with Labrys by now. Just going to have to rely on those fundamentals. But yeah, as you suspected, it's really user choice as well as strategic decisions based on how the fight is currently going. Most Bullet players probably think they can weather the storm and get back to neutral. AMB Bakery pretty much sums up some of the other offensive options meter. Though on the topic of doing RC combos to get H2, I'd like to emphasize that obtaining H2 is itself a pretty good reason. When Bullet is in H2, her movement becomes its fastest, making dealing with neutral easier. Doing H2 drive followups boosts her combo damage output while still benefiting from the usual drive followup corner carry perks. It also makes her 5D and JD even more safe on block and because you would still have 1 level of heat left if it gets blocked, it makes throwing them out in a blockstring to extend pressure or trying to catch someone pushing buttons with it in neutral, more justifiable. Also, this is mostly my own speculation but when you have defensive options like Cutting Shear(623B) and Serpentine Assault(720A), I get the feeling people get into a mindset that it's sort of a waste to spend meter on defense. I could be wrong though

  15. All the new console release characters are looking fun to play against. ASW did a great job with them. But for CP, I'll probably stick to Rachel and Bullet. Everyone, please look forward to being flung around the stage like a ragdoll and hopefully the transformation of my Rachel from extremely bad to really good I approve of this. Lotus for best new character! Wow. They can feel our pain all the way in Ottawa O.O That doesn't bode well for us here in the eye of the storm.
  16. Wow, Kagura's cross up follow up from his 6D looked really good in the Sony Demonstration. His overall play style also seemed pretty solid just as I imagined. Kokonoe too. I didn't expect Kokonoe to be able to place the beacon for her orbtial strike as fast as she does. I'm looking forward to seeing people work that into combos. ASW has done well. I"m looking forward to fighting Kagura and Kokonoe players. That hitstun bar is a great edition to training mode. I like using it a lot in Skullgirls Training mode. Also, looks like my speculations on that challenge mode picture a few months ago turned out to be true. Now the only question left to answer about Challenge Mode is whether they're also going to do the "Do a combo that meets these conditions" Challenge 30. I hope gallery mode is as big as it seems. I love unlocking gallery pics and reading the small note from the artist that scrolls by at the bottom.

That white and blue Eltnum in particular was pretty impressive.
  19. It's interesting to see that Kokonoe can summon the Graviton gadget at different locations. The way the fireball works in conjunction with the Graviton is looking to be really good, especially when combined with Warp. That distortion that teleports the enemy into the air is a bit strange. Combo extender? Or maybe it could be used to give her time to set up gadgets.
  20. Nice find. Kagura's JD teleporting him to the ground sounds pretty nifty. I'm sure this will lead to some pretty interesting looking combos, maybe interesting setups too depending on the recovery
  21. Hopefully with all this business of Atlus being bought now over, we'll start to get more info about P4C, maybe even as early as this week's TGS. Feels like we are long overdue for new info, even though it's only been a month.

  24. Sure, we'll play on PSN sometime. Though right now, the small amount of free time I have is going towards wrapping up Xillia and the eternal Rachel training. I'm sure Eliza and Robo-Fortune will be worth the wait. I know Squigly was ^,^ I'm aware of this. I do have sub-goals that I'm keeping to myself like getting the hang of hitconfirming, practicing my approaches, getting a better understanding of the Rachel vs. Relius matchup, etc. But reminders like these are good for keeping sight of things. Thank you for the advice. I appreciate it. Cool. I'll be sure to watch the videos when you post them, though not right now since I'm still at work. Probably later tonight. But I should probably mention that I watch a ton of Rachel vids, both from CSE and CP but Rachel's playstyle is so unique that I'm still having trouble figuring out when I should do specific things. I'll watch the videos anyway though since I feel every time I watch a Rachel play, I get a little closer to understanding her more. Thanks for the help.

You played pretty well considering you don't usually play on stick. Quick Fun Fact: You can combo Valentine's Mortuary Drop into her flatline super. Wish my friend was still around so he could show you Valentine's Ambiguous IAD jHP cross up that drives me up the wall but sadly, he's gone back to school. Also, a quick Parasoul tip, if your opponent blocks your level 3, you can use the LK Egret to RC and close in if they're far/go for mixups when they're close while the Egrets are firing. Let's play again some time, especially when Squigly + the new rebalance patch drops on consoles. You too Dom. I need the solo Squigly practice ^,^ Fighting WakeupDP's Relius = profound sadness. My mission is clear now: To beat WakeupDP in AquaPazza! Chizuru is pretty cool but I can feel that my true Aquapazza waifu is still out there waiting for me. Got to find her!...oh, and I guess I should make beating you in BB a goal. I need to work my way up to that though, lol. Also, O.O @ Air's lambda. So many scary BB players here in Montreal. This is going to be a long journey and I haven't even started the GG struggle yet ;.; Anyway, thanks for the BB matches everyone and thanks for the tips Sam, Kirbster and WakeupDP.
