  1. I'm pretty sure it was mentioned earlier in the year that Wagner probably won't make it in because they can't fit him into the current story so it's safe to assume that story plays a factor about who can get in and who can't currently. More importantly, creating a new character from scratch requires a lot more time than copy pasting and adapting an existing character and this is time French Bread doesn't necessarily have since they're working on the Dengeki game Also, this is mostly just French Bread doing something nice for other developers. Akatsuki(sp?) was to promote a HD re-release of the old game and the SG character is going to be to celebrate Skullgirls' release in arcades.
  2. Another nice night at Foonzo. Might go back to just watching from the side lines from here on out though. It was great to see how much everyone improved from week 1. Highlight of the night was definitely singing happy birthday for Hime-sama. Thanks for letting me join in Kirbster and Sam. Next year, we should get a cake with the image of Rachel hitting someone with BBL :P inb4HeartlessWrecksEveryoneAtTheWeeklyNextWeekWithDay1Kokonoe, lol. I'm pretty hyped to see Kokonoe in action next week. I'm still amazed at how well she turned out. It'll be a bit sad to see your Tager become a bench warmer though.
  3. *Gives Dark Ranger a much needed hug* There there, it's okay. I'm sure you'll get super strong and squash all those people like bugs one day, lol. But on a serious note, try befriending some Dustloopers or just people you run into that don't mind playing you and join their rooms/lobbies. You'll probably get longer sets that way If you're going to list the actual combos in the wiki, I don't see why not. Combo theory might actually be more useful for beginners at the end of the day anyway. Worst case scenario, you could always add a line at the beginning of the opening post that goes along the lines of "A list of her combos can be found on the wiki [insert Link Here]"
  4. That was a pretty sweet launch week. Thanks for the matches yesterday Dhaos, Dark Wolf, Nu player and Arakune player whose names I didn't get but suspect to be Kevin and Mal. It was great seeing you again, Kaeru. Well, on to the next battlefield guys, the weeklies!
  5. Thanks for all the detailed impressions on her blockstrings guys. It's been very informative. Have any of you importers been experimenting with CTs in blockstrings? Mostly just curious since I wanted to experiment with it myself.
  6. lol, we can see that. Click the bubble with Quotations in it and a + sign next to it to select the posts you want to quote then click Reply With Quote. And if all else fails, you can just copy and paste quotes into a single reply ^,^
  7. There's probably a DLC code that got bundled with your copy. Don't know for sure since I don't have it the game though. Day 2 of CP was pretty much as awesome as Day 1. Got to see Bibi's OD combos this time, though having them done on me wasn't part of the plan, lol. Thanks for the matches yesterday DarkWolf, Monster and Bibi. Azrael's Growler field seemed like a pain for my zoning but it's more obvious what I have to do after a good night's sleep. Now that's what I'm talking about.
  8. That Day 1 lived up to the hype. The place was packed. Nothing but BB as far as the eye could see. There was mad salt, mad hype, unit cookie dough, drills, OD reversals, Astrals galore, saw people I've never seen before ever. My only let down is I didn't get to see enough of DerQ's drills and pochp's Mu-12 because I decided to make camp at the setup at the end pretty early on. And apparently I missed Bibi doing OD combos too ;.; - Brice, Good job winning that FT5. It was hype. Made that money rain on Kirbster. I didn't even know how to read that Doujin without my laptop when you first handed it to me. It was great and the premise of the story for the series sounded really interesting. I think I might watch/play it. You said it was a VN? - Kirbster, Wanted to give you a hug after the FT5, lol. It was amazing watching your Rachel evolve over the course of the night though. You got the hang of those CP Rachel combos quickly. - WakeUpDP, with all those astrals on Day 1. It was great seeing your Relius again. - Airmaster, those Kagura flashkick combos! Don't give up on trying to make that run up flash kick work. Dedicate a day in training mode to it when you get a copy of the game. It must happen! - Blade, whether you were playing or commentating, you were godlike. Nothing more needs to be said. - Monster (Hope I got the name right), your Azrael is already hype as hell right out the gate. Those kicks! Dat astral! I'll probably still swing by again late tonight and see if anyone is still there. I must have been at least 5 out of 20+ of those Air Busters. It just wouldn't sink in that you have that now, lol. Also, I thought it only opened at 5 on Saturdays and opened at 4 the other days. Not sure though Sounds good to me.
  9. lol, this made me burst out in laughter in the middle of work when I first read it. Ugh, can't believe I'm still here for 3 more hours.
  10. Thanks for clarifying the input for cancelling Prem. I'll have to put that down in my personal notes.
  11. Thanks for getting CP on the consoles Pochp and Kirbster! DerQ, how much do I owe you for the PSN Codes? Time to start the CP marathon. Be sure to pace yourselves guys. I don't want anyone collapsing from getting overhyped :P
  12. To add some additional info to what TD and SoWL, I don't think you can cancel the drive once you've already traveled to the opponent but you can cancel it somehow before you travel to the opponent and the drive has a overhead and low version using 6D and 2D as TD said. They both have notable more startup though so use them wisely.
  13. Hmmm, I was hoping the NEC planning would be done by now. Guess I'll start asking some follow up questions in the thread...Next week. This week, CP Launch Party, All Day, Every Day!
  14. That tier list reminds me that I need to play the VN Also, Happy BBCP's eve! ^,^
  15. welp, guess I'm coming to Foonzo Saturday dressed as the worst cowboy you've ever seen unless I can find a better costume. I wonder if I still have that Ninja Turtles mask.
  16. My master plan is pretty much go Thursday as usual, stumble in late Friday (10ish) if I read people are there, swing by Saturday because I'm probably going to start secretly swinging by for a bit on Saturday for a while so I can practice CP Rachel combos while I wait for NA release and finally, come by Sunday if I read people are there. So, yeah, living at Foonzo in a nutshell, lol.
  17. Good chance you unlock Unlimited Characters the usual clear Score Attack with the character way Considering the game went gold in August and was probably feature+content locked a month or two before that, probably not. EDIT: Pretty sure I read in the Q&A thread that Kurushii will add instructions on how to get BBCP from JP PSN to the "Importing 101" thread when he gets the chance.
  18. I'd be down for splitting the costs of getting CP on to the other two PS3s if we can make it happen. Just let me know how much I owe you if it happens. Also, Kokonoe being released November 7th. Get hyped,Heartless!
  19. Wow. That's a lot of new footage. Thanks Abelcru. I hope there's footage of at least one Orie as good as the one in the first 5 parts of the Kamata Tokyo matches. Going to keep it short and sweet as far as the question posed earlier. I'm very interested in this game. I plan to preorder it for PS3 the moment they officially announce it and it goes up on an import site. But without easy access to a gaming PC currently, I can't really say I'm too interested in a PC port. Though, I do hope it happens since there seems to be a lot of PC gamers interested in it.
  20. I'm looking forward to the updates to the combo thread. Though, right now I'm a little more interested to see what sort of blockstrings you guys will come up with to open people up with.
  21. Attendance Thursday is mandatory. If you're not there, we'll send Golden Tager X out to find and drag you to Foonzo. Nice. Thursday keeps getting better and better
  22. I hope this post isn't as long as it looked in my notepad document as I slowly typed it up during the day while waiting for stuff to load and compile. Yesterday was fun though I spent most of the night watching BBCP vids on my tablet and making witty (translation: stupid) remarks about the pokemon stuff my friends were doing. I'm still shocked that there is a pokemon shaped like a ring of keys. Just as well I suppose. I've been in a "Not good enough to play with these cool cats" mood since the mashfest. Those Kirbster vs. Sam matches at the end of the night were pretty hype though. Is it okay for me to be very afraid of Valkenhayn right now? Because I'm very scared now. Someone hold me! :P Dom, 2 words and you already know what they are. Fiber Upper! lol. I know you have trouble with the DP motion and to be honest, my ability to do it under pressure is also pretty sketchy but then again, I haven't had any reason to perfect it (Rachel 2C da bess) until Bullet and Izayoi walked into my life. I was planning to record Ragna doing a simple blockstring with a gap in it and practice trying to do Bullet's Cutting Shear out of it. Maybe you can do something similar. Other than that though, you should try practicing working in conjunction with the head a little bit more when you get the chance. You can do a lot of interesting Carl/Relius/Litchi-esque setups when you really start working together with the head. ReynTime, Got to cancel those standing HPs into LP Tear Shot. Charge times are pretty good in SG. If you go into training mode and hold back with Parasoul, about the time it takes for Parasoul to cross her legs in her walking back animation is about as long as you need to charge back or down. It takes some getting used to get in the habit of charging but it becomes pretty easy once you get in the habit of doing it and a good feel for the charge times. Also, last bit of general advice, more IADs with Valentine and Fortune and pushblocking please! Normally, doing the IAD motion would be tricky and require some practice to get used to but in SG, it's as easy as pressing up and 2 punch buttons. That said, you both play on controller in a game that requires 6 buttons and has different buttons combination presses for throws, assists, tags and dash/pushblocking so I'll understand if you don't hop on the IAD bandwagon. As far as XBL vs. PSN and no 360 version of CP goes, Brice said almost everything I wanted to say. One thing I do want to note though is that part of the reason people think there's a difference between XBL and PSN is because of the difference in communities. PSN's community is more international with a large Japanese fanbase and because PS3 is more or less the established standard for playing Japanese games here in the West, it's probably where most casuals and people in general get the game too. So on one side of things, when you come over from XBL you'll notice a lot more 0 connections because of all the Japanese and European players. Then on the other side of things, you have more casuals who don't necessarily know that input lag exists and don't really care about connection quality unless it starts visually lagging pretty bad so they don't necessarily think it's a bad idea to stream some anime or download some torrents while they play, causing 2+ connections that feel like they're 0s. That's my analysis of the situation anyway. Welp, time to hibernate until BBCP release here in NA. Looking forward to seeing the Kirbster vs Brice Day 1 FT5 next week. That's going to be so hype! Good luck at your interview!
  23. Thanks for those tweets from Xie. I had no idea that the Shield could be used in neutral for no meter or that it reduces block stun. That'll be pretty useful.
  24. Yay, I entered my first tournaments. Didn't think my body was going to survive getting repeatedly wrecked but I somehow managed to survive. My first match of CT was hilarious because I kept mashing 214C for Sword Iris and nothing kept happening. Thanks for telling me the CT input, Sam. Thanks for the matches VinceX, Brice, Heartless, Pochp and DerQ. Overall, pretty cool mashfest. So many lolzy moments, especially with those Tager mirror matches. Well, time to start practicing wakeup Inferno Dividers and run up 5Bs in case that Ragna only tourny happens this Thursday, lol Grrrrrrr, I won't forget this. I'll get you next time, Brice. NEXT TIME!!! </Dr. Claw Impression>
  25. hmmmm, it's possible but seems unlikely to me. Financially speaking, there's no real reason for them to pick one or the other since both the arcade and console release of the Dengeki fighter are no doubt being paid for by Dengeki Bunko themselves. If they end up not porting it, it would come down to not having the time and resources but considering all this talk about a PS3 version started happening when they were probably already working on the Dengeki figthter, I don't think this is too much of an issue for them at the moment.
