  1. Sounds good. There's a fair chance that I'll make it to this. Needs more GG.
  2. Good to see interest in my GG casuals. You folks can just let me know when you know what's up. Anyone else? Celebrating my birthday tonight, so I'm not sure how much I'll be around for games, but...I have a feeling I'll play at least a few. See you then!
  3. Looks like it will be the 19th. Find a way! Vampire Saviour would be cool. Though I would like to play some ST too.
  4. Edited my post and I'm now asking about next weekend instead, for several reasons. Sorry about that, comrade.
  5. There's no way I'll be able to make it to this, unfortunately, as I have a gig in L.A. during that weekend, but I'm glad to see the support for Guilty Gear. Hopefully I can go next time. May the event go well, and I'll see you at the other majors.
  6. So who wants to play some Guilty Gear next weekend? (That being the weekend of the 18th.) I'd really like to play some casuals. I'm down to host in Amherst, though maybe we could play in Springfield instead, as that might be more central, depending upon who will be interested. Also, which day(s) would be good for you folks? Please post up if you want to get some matches/practice in, or if you just want to learn the game. Even if you're new to the scene and aren't really familiar with the players over here! Also, if anyone feels like getting some games in with me whenever (even weekdays), please feel free to send a PM. Looks good! Unfortunately I won't be able to make that, as I have a gig in L.A. on that weekend, but...I wish I could check it out! Props to them for keeping it up with the GG.
  7. The man, he speaks the truth. Apart from the people that Vyers mentioned, there's also Abstract (PO), and some others. Why don't you go to Paul Wall's tournament tomorrow? I'll be bringing GG, and there's a chance that we'll have a tournament. If not, then at least some casuals.
  8. I'm down to play some VS! Not in tournament, though...hahaha. Come on, man -- we don't know that game so well just yet over here. As for TF, we can play that at Wall's on Saturday. Springfield will be there. It's a wonderful thing. It allows you to play games on with very little lag. http://ggpo.net/. If you need help setting it up, you can just let me know.
  9. Thanks for adding me. RIGHT ON.
  10. Have to get those USB ports working so that you can play on GGPO and 2DF! Maybe I can try the next time I'm over there...?
  11. Does IaMP have netplay anyhow? I vote for ST(HD)!
  12. No, GGXXS is not on GGPO or 2DF, and it's all about Accent Core anyway, baby. 3S is on both, but I've no interest in playing that...haha.
  13. Aw...Eric, you missed me for GG. Please get me on that list, bro! GG is too good.
  14. Why don't we get some GGPO/2DF action going too? If anyone needs help setting them, up, they can just let me know.
  15. I'm down! I can get on IRC too. I made a thread asking for GG on PSN/XBL/PC. Please take a look at it here and post up if you support the idea! Gotta get that STHD for PS3! Inexpensive, and there will be comp.
  16. A bit out of place, but it is related. There are some arcades with Accent Core, but very few, especially in the northeast. Over here, it is really just Chinatown Fair in NYC, as far as I know. The closest after that is in Canada, near Toronto, in an arcade called Lovegety. GGPO is good, 2DF is pretty good, and the game Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix has good netplay. Although I heard that it uses the netcode from GGPO...haha. BlazBlue also has pretty good netplay.
  17. I agree -- PSN and XBL would be ideal. That's what I had in mind when I made the post. However, I didn't make that clear. The post has been edited to mention that specifically. Thanks. Word. That's what I'm hoping it'd be like. The custom that I'm building for myself will have support for PS2, PS3, and 360, but yeah -- not everyone dual/multi mods, not everyone has or wants to bring around multiple sticks, and not everyone wants to get a converter.
  18. How about GGPO and STHD, DoomieJ? If they made it that good, I think netplay would be viable. And yeah, adding netplay might be difficult, but I think there's a good chance that it can be done. Also, even if, for some reason, netplay were not an option, these releases would benefit the community. Just think of all of those people with TE, SE, and PS3/360 custom sticks who aren't playing GG 'cause it's on PS2 and Wii!
  19. I just posted in the So are we done with GG? thread. Very interesting read. What some of the players (especially AKA, Klaige, and mynus) said there definitely resonated with me. Please take a look! Can probably get you for ACT, Gonz. I'll let you know.
  20. If you support the idea, please post in the thread(s)! If this is to happen, then we need to show Arc System Works/Aksys that there is interest. Thank you! (Also posted on the Aksys forum: http://www.aksysgames.com/forums/topic/263.) Please bring Guilty Gear XX Accent Core Plus to the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, and even PC if possible! This series is incredibly good, and has a die hard community, yet it is not growing quite the way it could be if it were available in more formats. It can be hard for some people to learn the game offline, as competition can be difficult to find and/or reach, and there are a lot of matchups to learn. Also, especially after what has happened with the fighting game scene this year, a lot of people have PS3/360 sticks, but either have nothing for PS2/Wii or don't want to carry around multiple sticks. (I do realize that dual/multi modding is excellent and quite possible, and am even doing that myself, but not everyone realizes or has the resources for that.) Also, many people have PS3/360/PC, but not PS2/Wii. And even considering that many fighting game players do have PS2, having the game on next gen systems would make Guilty Gear setups for tournaments and casuals easier. Furthermore, if the game were formatted for the new systems, it'd be much easier to play it on HD displays with low or no lag. As it stands, playing Guilty Gear on HDTVs tends to cause lag because the PS2 doesn't send an HD signal, and so the HDTVs have to compensate for that, causing lag. (And I will just leave it at that, instead of getting into too many specifics regarding HDTV input delay and such.) Additionally, with so many people getting into BlazBlue and fighting games in general lately, there is great potential for the growth in the scene. It just seems like an ideal time for a release like this. Reiteration and some suggestions... -PS3 and 360 via PSN and XBL, perhaps a PC version as well. -Netplay (with a quality netcode, like what GGPO, STHD, and BB have). -Even if netplay were not possible, having Accent Core for PS3/360/PC would be great, and quite beneficial to the community. -Tutorials or a guide (maybe something similar to what the BB DVD/BD has). -Some new kind of mode that teaches the game and helps to level up the player. Perhaps even something like SFIV's challenge mode. -? This game is just so exceptional and classic. It deserves the kind of treatment mentioned above. What do you think, people? Also, any other suggestions? EDIT 2/23/2010: Some evidence and real talk that backs what I have said can be found here: http://www.dustloop.com/forums/showthread.php?t=7105. Will also say that the necessity for a release like this depends upon how soon the next GG fighter will be released. But...as there haven't even been any announcements about that, why not give more life to Accent Core at this time? EDIT 10/4/2010: Please sign this petition: http://www.petitiononline.com/ggxxac23/petition.html!
  21. YES. Northeast Championship! I am in, for GG, SFIV, Waku Waku 7(!), UMK3, BB, KI, and maybe Garou. Also interested in ST (the original) and TF if they'll be there. I am so hyped just thinking about this. When I saw that GG was $5 instead of $10, I was also thinking that maybe it should be upped, but really...I would rather see more entrants. Either way, though. GG teams would be great, however! Can we please have that added?
  22. Word. New people for ACT. See you there. Tim -- good to know you're down for casuals! I'll be doing the übercasuals again sometime, probably in October, but I'll get some smaller ones going every now and then too.
  23. Who are these new people, and why aren't they going to ACT? Or will they be there, actually? (Hint. ) You switching to Sol as main, Tim? What happened to Johnny? Can't wait to play more GG. Feelin' that SFIV, though. Need to learn BB. If anyone feels like doing a small meetup for casuals, please post up or send a PM!
