Lovegety Fiending : GGAC | BBCS [3/6/2010] - Results
blueNINE replied to X-Sapphire's topic in Tournament Results
Wish I could've made it, but I was at a local tournament myself. I hope to go to the next Lovegety Fiending, though! Good shit to Jabir and K2 for making it to the end in GG. Surprised that Jabir played only Potemkin! Sad to see that K2 wasn't playing that Johnny. I want to see how you are playing that May these days, though. Maybe soon. Nazir...why you not at the top? See you, fiends. -
WORLD GAME CUP CANNES 2010 (FRANCE) [3->7 MARCH 2010]
blueNINE replied to Camo's topic in International Events
Can someone please post the full results? Also, how many entrants were there for GG? -
Word. You are the man, Jeff. Please talk to Larry and get this going! GG teams would be sick. I've been all around the country (and to Canada) for GG, and I think Final Round is one of best places, and probably best major, for this game. Let's make it hype, and let's get those those teams going! That's a shame, man. Will see you at some other major(s), though, hopefully.

The turnout was a bit low (though still good, at 30+ people), but there were two tournaments in NYC on the same day, and there were problems for some people who wanted to make it. Also, there are a lot of people picking up Guilty Gear in this region, and the hype for SSFIV is high. I think the turnout will be much better next time. GGs, everyone! Sorry, Ill Will, for letting you down in GG teams...but you did same for me! Hahaha. Let's be better next time, bro. Good shit making it to the tournament, and I'm glad we teamed, and that you played some Guilty Gear! MarlinPie -- it was great teaming with you. Next time we have to take 1st in SFIV teams. I'll be leveling up that Abel, and will work hard to play more solidly. (SUPPORT THAT SHIT!) Thanks to everyone who helped to organize and run this, and to everyone who brought a setup.

Results thread is up. Will post my response to the last two posts there. Please direct your posts, shouts, and other such to the results thread as well, or to the New England thread.

Sending a PM.

Looks like we have MA, CT, NH, VT, RI, maybe NY, and maybe NJ showing up. Get hype!
-
Yes, yes we should. There are 52 signed up for GG already. That would make 17 teams. I imagine some people entering singles would not enter teams, but also that some would enter teams only, so perhaps it would cancel out to around being around the same. Let's do it!

Good shit running this, St1ck. I hope people enjoyed it. If anyone missed it, it's possible to view a recording of it on the website!

What?! I really hope that won't be the case...

NEW ENGLAND THREAD *(A fusion of states and Shit talk)*
blueNINE replied to Otakuchin's topic in Offline Community
Is anybody else going to Winter Brawl this weekend?! Why not learn that GG?! Also, Garou: Mark of the Wolves is cool, a few of us play it, and you can play it on GGPO and Supercade. This man said it very well! I hope to see many people at ACT. Dual mod for the win. Settling for pad is...fail. (Though I suppose in the meantime, playing it on pad would be good enough to help you get a feel for a new game.) I'd be down, but I've got plans for tomorrow, and then I'll be at Winter Brawl. Sorry, man. See you next weekend, though. -

All of you people who went to IllogicalDreamr's (and everyone else)...please come to ACT XIII!! There will be tournaments, casuals, chilling, hype, and more. It's the place to go for GG in New England. Not to be missed. -
Details updated in the first post, with corrected entry info, start times, and more.

I'm so sorry that I missed it. I was completely exhausted. I really hope you'll do this again next month. I'd say that ideally, it'd be after Final Round, but before Anime BostonAnime Boston. (So, basically, either of the last two weekends in March.) -
G.A.M.M.E. - Orlando, Florida - June 4-6 2010, $5000 SF4

Daaamn. I will try to make it to this. I think GGXXΛC should be the regular (non-Plus) U.S. version, as that is known to be the most arcade perfect console release available. Plus is said to have some glitches, and doesn't really add any changes that are relevant to tournament play. -
Wow...hahaha. Sorry I wasn't there, people. Hope to see plenty of you in Bosto[finput][/finput]llston today (Saturday), though.

Added some info to the first post, regarding how these ports would be good for those wanting to play the game on HDTVs. As I suggested in the opening post, there are plenty of good reasons for this. At this time, I think it mostly has to do with having the game on systems for which more people have sticks, and also having good netplay (if possible), as well as making it easy for more people to try the game out and get into it.

I'll definitely be at Anime Boston. And I'll definitely be entering both GG tournaments (as well as the SFIV tournaments). -
Wait...you play GG on an HDTV?! Kona is very right. HDTV's can cause (sometimes a lot of) lag, and are generally terrible for GG. Get on that SDTV! No wonder. Haha. It won't interfere, per say, but I won't be able to make it unless it's before Friday. And if it's on Thursday, only maybe.

It's all about that GG. I'm in for Saturday! PM sent. -
Hm. Perhaps I should wait 'til Saturday to get some games in? Seems like low/no turnout for tonight. Anyone else want to go to that meetup on Saturday?
-
Less rejoicing, more training. Maybe that's why everyone posted up all excited and then it got kind of quiet?
-
Oh snap. Monikae is learning Axl too. Perhaps you can trade some tricks. As for Johnny...you'll have to get RedBeard and/or Johnny Ensenga to come back to the scene. I can try to help, though.
