  1. ...said the Yoriko player. I remember there being a point at Winter Brawl when there was a Yoriko in training mode and two other Yorikos in matches at the SAME TIME. Taking Dr. Onblast's poignant advice, I ran.
  2. Casuals anywhere on Wednesday or Thursday? Have to get ready for Winter Brawl! I think one of those belongs to Tales. If I recall correctly, he let Domo borrow one at NEC, and later we brought it with us to casuals at your house with the intention of returning it to Tales, but I guess it was just left there.
  3. To be fair, it did attract some new players. There are people who have picked up the game after those tournaments, and there are more people who have become interested, but haven't picked it up. It will probably take a while before people will want to pick up this game, what with all of these brand new games being released, though. Though I don't play that game myself, I do respect it, and it does seem like it should be a voting option. True. That is something. Although the requirements are actually pretty high, and it's kind of hard to set up, so that will prevent a lot of people from playing it that way. Plus, it doesn't run as well as a 360 or PS3 port would (if good netcode were used) and it's not as as common knowledge as one of those ports would be. My point is that it really can't replace those ports. However, in the meantime, it is a viable alternative! So thanks for mentioning that. Maybe we should be letting more people know about it. Definitely truth in that. Killed by...MvC3? Haha. What happened, Nerdo? What about your homegirl Kira? Really, though, I don't think AH3 is going to die so easily. And I also hope that it doesn't, because this game is too fun. (Or maybe, judging by A3's post, I am just missing the joke. ) Oops. (For anyone who's confused, I am pretty sure the meant MvC2. Unless one of us stepped through a time warp and didn't realize it.)
  4. The man has made some good points. I hope to see you and along with the NY and NJ crews here for the tournament!
  5. I understand and see a lot of truth in your statements about the community. The game really needs to be released on newer consoles, and could really use netplay. Please see my thread on that subject here. If that ever happens (and even if it doesn't), I hope the community will step it up for this game, because the game is worth the effort. Although I am really enjoying that Arcana Heart 3, my vote goes to Guilty Gear XX Accent Core. SSMugen made a good point. And aside from that, I am still hoping that we can get the scene going for this game (with or without a new version or more ports). That being said, I hope that there will be a side tournament for AH3 or GGXXAC; whichever is not voted in as the third game! As for the system choice for MvC3 and SSFIV...I see Vigilante's points for running it on 360, and they make sense, but I still think it should be on PS3. Despite the fact that a lot of local tournaments run SSFIV on 360, a lot of the majors for the game are on PS3, including Evo, Winter Brawl, Final Round, Ultimate Fighting Game Tournament, and NorCal Regionals. I imagine East Coast Throwdown will be held on PS3 again as well. Even though the current local trend is to run SSFIV on 360, wouldn't it make more sense to be consistent with most majors? There is a difference in the feel of the two versions, and having to switch between them, especially around majors, is tedious to say the least. Moreover, if we run Arcana Heart 3, it would have to be on PS3, as the game is currently import only, and 360 imports don't work on American 360s. If SSFIV were run on PS3, we could probably get more setups, since people would bring systems with AH3 as well, and we could switch out games as necessary. Plus, if the tournament were on PS3, it could be consistent across the board (for SSFIV, MvC3, and AH3). In any case, I am in there for this tournament, and hope to see a serious turnout for all of the games! I'm interesting in entering GGXXAC, SSFIV, AH3, and MvC3. I will bring a PS2 with GGXXAC (be it for tournament, casuals, or both) and a PS3 with AH3 (under the same stipulations as GGXXAC) and SSFIV (if it will be run on that system). See you at Uprising!!
  6. Posted in the PWA thread regarding cabs and game versions. Might check that place out soon. See you at UCon, people!
  7. Oh wow. It happened! Thanks to those involved.
  8. I'm in there for that GGXXAC and SSFIV! EDIT: Maybe AH3 too!
  9. Yo daaamn. I wish I could make it to all of these. Good shit getting that going. Come to more U.S. tournaments! I'll be at Winter Brawl, Final Round, Evo, and probably more this year.
  10. So then stay on that GG instead of playing a couple of games and getting on BB for the rest of the night. Haha. Yo daaamn...we could play a lot of GGXXAC if you were to go to school there. True story. For those who don't know, Final Round is a long-running Atlanta major. I've gone for the past two years, and will very likely be attending again this year. It's one of the best majors in general, and is absolutely one of the best for Guilty Gear. Please go and vote! I have an extra copy for sale, if you'd like to buy it! Hit me up. I am likely in. I want to play some gaemz, and Winter Brawl is coming up, too. Plus, I might try out this Arcana Heart 3 business.
  11. Guilty Gear XX Accent Core, sir. This will be my third year (in a row) at Final Round, and that game is the reason I started going to begin with. There are few events where this game is one of the main events, and Final Round is one of the best (if not the very best) of such tournaments. HEAVEN OR HELL!
  12. When can we play Guilty Gear again?
  13. I'll probably be at GU on Friday. Anyone else going? I'm going for the SSFIV there, but some GGXXAC action would be sick, and I know that there are people there who either play or are interested in learning the game.
  14. Thanks to Furok for hosting! It was a great time. I'm looking forward to playing more games soon. Also... SLASH MAY SHIP.
  15. Okay. We'll be leaving soon.
  16. Looking forward to casuals! What time do they start? And roughly what time will they end? (Okay, the latter question might be silly.)
  17. That would be great. How long are you going to be around for, bro? Also, do you have a phone now? If you set up games for Wednesday, I think I'll be in...!
  18. Despite all of the unfortunate things that happened with me during and around the tournament (including bad weather, traffic, brackets, insomnia, and more) and the fact that overall, I placed exceedingly poorly this time, it was a great event, and I don't regret having attended. I'm ecstatic from the numbers and enthusiasm surrounding the GG tournaments at NEC. Let's keep this up! GG is too gdlk. I'll definitely be stepping it up and will try to poise myself better for future tournaments. (Not that I didn't try this time.) Thanks to Big E for being real, awesome with running these events, really helpful, and just a cool guy. On the real. Thanks also to everyone who attended, to the tournament organizers, and to everyone who helped out with equipment. And congratulations to the tournament finalists. I'll see you at Winter Brawl...!
  19. I'm in there for GG, SSFIV, and MvC3. (Possibly ST, but I'm not sure if I will be ready by then.)
  20. It was an awesome surprise to see some of the Gety crew at NEC! I wish we could've chilled a bit and played more, but I entered a lot of tournaments, and was seriously lacking sleep. I hope you guys will make it to more majors in the States! (for which the MAIN EVENT is GG) is in January, Winter Brawl (run by the same people and held at the same hotel as NEC) is in February, and Final Round (which I think has the highest turnout for GG) is in March. By the way, I heard that Lovegety might be closing. I hope it is just a false rumor. Any word on that? Hell yeah! Nazir turning that beast mode back on. I hope you will team with me for (at least) one of the upcoming majors! It's okay, K2. You still got up there in the results, and you still made me very sad in GG singles. Actually, I was mad. But it's because the May mirror is ridiculous. Sorry about that, by the way. A lot of difficulties that weekend, both at the tournament and getting to/from it. You still one of my boys from Gety; don't worry! I hope to see you at more U.S. tournaments. Also, what happened to that Johnny? That box set is truly gdlk. I bought it a while ago myself. Well worth it! I certainly do. Doom metal, death metal, black metal, thrash metal, and more. Hail metal!
  21. Wow...people have been going to Battle Grounds? Fraga, your idea to hold monthly tournaments would probably make better. You just have to make sure that they aren't during Friday Night Blackout or any other local tournaments. It would be sick to see GG at GU. I go there for tournaments and the occassional fight night, and it's a great venue. If we get GG going, I'd go more regularly, and could try to get the Boston area crew to start going too.
  22. I was just on the Final Round website and saw this. GET HYPE!
