  1. Guess I'll be playing this tomorrow after work. A bit miffed about not getting Elphelt until another 2 weeks... But whatever, already applied the yen prepaid cards. I'll just play with balls and sticks before I get to try out bullets.

  4. So, I finally managed to set aside money yesterday and buy some PSN yen cards, but the game isn't available in the store anymore? Like, I am guessing (hoping) they're letting you buy the game on the day of the release, but what the hell? Why turn off pre-orders? I got mine this weekend. I'm quite enjoying it. D-pad is good when you adjust it to your style. buttons are nice and big. It's sadly a bit too light for my tastes, but nothing worse than the DS3. Also works properly with PS3, except for the "PS" button.

  11. I'm reserving judgement until I've tried the character in CP2. I am though generally tired of all the tumbling about. Feels less like rebalancing and more like changes for the sake of them. It is motivating me to pick up a sub at least.
  12. Will they handle the digital version of Xrd for PS4 the same version they did CP? If you buy it on the first few days, you get the Elphelt DLC free? I want to get the US version as retail and don't really need the Japanese retail version as well.

  15. Sometimes I want to just pick up a new character in this game mid-session, but the entry-level skill requirements in this game are much. My favorite part about BB is how varied the characters are, but it's also my least favorite part.

  17. I saw a screenshot of Hakumen doing a 12k combo on Azrael (can't find it now). Anyone know what that's about?
  18. You'd be surprised by the amount of people who are really competent with their characters, but still don't know that Yukikaze and Shippu are unblockable. I sometimes have to send people PSN messages telling them to avoid and not block. Really, 5D > Yuki is just gonna be a scrub destroyer gimmick and nothing else in the end.
  19. So... I guess they made 5D into Yukikaze more useful now, huh? Although only if opponent is on autopilot with their projectile + approach shtick.

  21. Well, I guess the only practical use then is when you have 3 magatama and you do 5D for the fourth. I mean, I do that regularly with Shippu anyway. I wonder if they kept the "ignore proration Shippu" in Mugen, since it was in one of the loketests afaik.
  22. Does she even need to do that? I thought Yuki went through her and she ignored damage regardless? Like I said in one of my previous posts, I doubt these are all the changes, so maybe there will be something more interesting when we see the character in action.

I think you can also factor in that you have the same super at 1f startup and 6f startup, so you can punish your opponent with the same (or similar) damage if he delays his attack because he expects a raw Yuki. It's basically an extra tool to condition your opponent. I'm mostly interested in how this interacts with guard point moves. The 5D in the video last for quite a bit before it got cancelled into Yuki, without Hakumen reaching out for a grab. It could be just a projectile thing, but if you actually delay the grab as well when you do the Yuki cancel, it might happen later enough to hit Mu's DP for example.

  25. I am really liking the changes so far. Arakune bugs that break guard? Guard Point on Tager's Drives? Hakumen cancelling 5D into Yuki? It's freaking BlazBlue Gimmickphantasma and I love it.
