Oh, that thread. I remember now. I don't think I infracted the first couple of posts (wherein you made valid, if angry, points) before it finally tail-spinned into a self-fueling hatefest, but it's been a while and I don't have a great memory. You're right, though, I didn't handle that thread well, and I was reprimanded for it. I haven't done anything like that until the aforementioned Blade thread, wherein it was far more deserved (but still overridden anyway). Lesson learned? Infracting an entire thread is overkill, on top of being a waste of my time. I wouldn't count on it happening again.

I disagree. If people post misinformation, they need to be corrected. If they refuse to be corrected, they need to be removed.

I have no problem with being hard on someone who isn't getting it, if you're actually helping them to get it. That wasn't even close to the case with the Blade thread. That was just stupid.
