Lifeless Clone + Cauldron = Murakumo Research Assistant + Cauldron = Top-tier Bitch Researcher + Cauldron = Bug Bag Lunatic capable of partially leveling cities + Cauldron = can fight the Black Beast for a year.

NU FUSES WITH THE AZURE GRIMOIRE, NOT RAGNA. THIS IS WHY RAGNA IS ABLE TO FIGHT THE BLACK BEAST. BECAUSE HE ISN'T THE BLACK BEAST. DO YOU UNDERSTAND? We have no idea what power he could've gained through the Cauldron. For all we know he hit the Boundary and pulled a Litchi, multiplying his power for every time he ever got looped. The Bloodedge that fought the Black Beast could've just been Ragna x 100. Or maybe it was just wimpy, one-armed, no-Azure Ragna wailing on a Black Beast that can't kill him without killing itself and waiting to be absorbed. It's not a plot-hole just because you don't know what happened.

You guys lose focus easy, don't you? Think about it for a second. Azure Grimoire (fake or not) = absorb souls -> heal yourself. Nu-13 = absorb souls + steal Azure (NOT fusing with Ragna!) -> become ultimate weapon. Cauldron = giant well of souls being smelted TIME LOOP! Nu-13 = Black Beast. Ragna = healed, with only one arm left. IMPORTANT POINTS: Ragna could heal inside the Cauldron, Nu-13 only fuses with his Azure Grimoire (arm). Azure Grimoire overloaded with souls, not merged with Murakumo = severely weakened, borderline-non-functional Black Beast (see Ragna's bad endings in both games).

I tried to type out a proper reply but the idea is just so fucking terrible. Not enough staff play BB online (pretty much just Spirit Juice, and that surprised the shit out of me), certainly none of them take online play seriously (considering that most of them are in one of the largest GG/BB scenes in the country), and it's fucking netplay, which is terrible. Staff side would end up being just me, because I don't give a shit, and since I don't give a shit I'd just drop out.

If the developers say that every ending canonically happened at some point or another (which they have, no?), then they did. Whatever batshit explanation is required to make it so is what we end up with. So far nothing is a real stretch.

Unless he just felt like taking the name. Or it's also the name of the sword. Or someone came up with a cool name for the otherwise-nameless Hero. Someone in the story had to originally come up with the name, be it Ragna, Jubei, Rachel, some random guy, whatever. Every time he didn't already have the name, someone came up with it. Just remember this: if all of this could have happened in the initial time loop with no prompting from that-which-had-already-existed, then it could easily happen again in any loop thereafter.

Of course it could happen. Look at the Black Beast that appears in Ragna's endings (a giant, lumbering beast composed primarily of mouth) with the ones shown in CS's prologue (city-sized beast with multiple heads). Everything that happened in CT couldn't happened during a loop. Even the shit that doesn't make sense - any of trillions of things could've changed to produce those results. It's entirely possible that in every timeline wherein Ragna never made it into the Cauldron, there simply was no Bloodedge in the resulting timeloop. The Black Beast would be defeated anyway. Before you respond with "Jubei said without Bloodedge's help...!" - maybe that's just how he felt after this loop. The only reason the time loops stopped is because this time, everything worked out. In every other loop, something went wrong - no Bloodedge, no Noel, weakened Black Beast, no Black Beast, wrong Heroes, Golden Tagers, etc. TL;DR: Time loops don't give a shit what you think.
