My team is like day 2 MVC2 tactics. Yes, I said 2. Wesker unfortunately does not come with Ourobouros. Well actually he does in RE5 but that's a virus and not an orb super. Wesker is scrubby but his teleports aren't godly on their own. The game isn't 1v1v1v1v1v1, it's 3v3. If it were really 1v1v1v1v1v1, then wesker and chris would lose to zero and ammy. Chris requires more thinking from me than the rest of my team. But that is why playing an easy mode top tier character is fun. There are a lot of fun mixups I do with Wesker that I implement in Chris' game as well.

That's good stuff. You're well on track to being the first guy in the thread to be working towards (and getting) a PhD, much props. Perhaps someone else will become the first CEO to emerge from this thread though. Then again, I don't think anyone in the thread is an engie http://www.businessinsider.com/ceos-majored-in-engineering-2011-3#

Well the nerf to sent has the side effect of making xfactor less effective for him since he can't just waltz in with offense anymore when powered up; it essentially puts a cap on how much health he can recover. As for removing xfactor though I'm not sure the game would be more "fun" if you removed it. It obviously needs more tweaking but the fact of the matter is that mvc3 is funner to us than mvc2 precisely because every match goes down to the wire, and xfactor is designed to promote close matches. Is it competitively fair to reward the loser? Not very. But losing one assist is big, and means you don't have all the tools required throughout the entire match; without xfactor the game boils down to who loses 1 char first, rather than 3. I know I have more fun watching matches that go down to 2v2, 1v1, gradually, than a blowout 3v1. There really is no perfect answer as it stands. But I do know that patching the game one month out isn't an answer either.

hahaha hahahah i seriously doubt i will return to play Cap. I already have a better teleport/crossup character as is and I really want to have a team that has at least one safe DHC (max wesker is stupid unsafe in a lot of situations). Failing a safe DHC i want something that can easily fullscreen punish (the canonical example being random BS super >> BIONIC ARMMMM). Cap can't even do that reliably with charging stars.

Well arguably he's about the same as Thor or Arthur now (solo). Arthur can't do well ... anything solo, and neither of those characters can reliably build meter while doing damage the way cap would with the infinite. Also, being able to land the infinite on assists for a few reps is a nice plus, and for less effort than the akuma infinite.
