i'm coming back on thursday, turns out i'm almost out of vacation days anyways. i figure I can probably get a good cross section of the city at night, and frankly it's fucking cold. Might buy a ticket for WICKED though. Chicago is like jew broadway. (which is kind of an oxymoron since new york probably has the bigger jew population ...)

The Sears Tower is: - 262 Michael Jordans tall - 283 Barack Obamas tall It's also called the Willis Tower now. Which I thought was a tribute to Bruce Willis until I remembered that Die Hard 1 actually takes place in New York. Also holy shit there are like a million Panda Express's here. Chicago really covers off a broad spectrum of food.

lol capcom leak containment and damage control is among the worst i've ever seen like how the hell does Nintendo keep an entire 3d game system and game library under better wraps than capcom with a single fighting game? there are 100 times more eyeballs on nintendo wares than there would be on any of the clown devs outsourced on capcom projects.

In this industry (and the current climate) there's a critical mass that needs to be reached (but not exceeded) when considering an exit strategy. An internship with a Master's degree is a safe short term bet ... but if you're not doing some meaningful work then it's probably a waste of your time. It's just as fine to intern somewhere much smaller or grittier and at least get a fun story or novel experience out of it. Three terms at EA is some serious pigeonholing since everyone these days is looking for someone who's worked twenty different experiences at thirty different firms, and with 10 years of experience coming out of school. It's unlikely this illusion that recruiters have will go away especially when things are getting more barebone, so your most ambitious bet would be to hold out for another opportunity. Just keep in mind the longer you spend at school the greater the chance you will be spending more time under someone's heel, uncomfortably (Master's graduates are sometimes a tad too smart for the average tech head to hire without feeling slightly threatened, and PhD's are basically unmanageable nightmares outside of R&D.)
