That's really bizarre I could have sworn you are limited to one airdash cancel every time you're in the air? Or maybe just no one has ever bothered to try here. Random mortal kombat thing: I was searching for the latest trailer again on youtube but came across this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JVztBcZ88_Q

Haha comeback mechanics Well there isn't much of a story except that mike somehow thought you could chi from anyone (not just the guy to your left). I'm not sure what this does to the game in the long term but it makes noob cannon hands very viable in the short term. It is admittedly fun but you will get counterpoked on every tile you throw out.

your 1 han tsumo IS WORTH NOTHING TO ME Also now that we learned that chi is exactly the same as chinese MJ's seung, the games are almost functionally identical in terms of viable hands, despite the variation in hand types. The difference now feels a lot less meaningful to me, in switching from chink to jap: It's like as if you took MVC3 and inserted ten more captain americas into the roster.

To follow up on what Peter said, Wesker is a pretty complete character like Toki is, but he can't lock people down like Toki does indefinitely. His teleports differ in several ways: a) Longer-ranged than Toki, which means you won't end up beside the opponent most of the time when doing blockstrings b) None of them have frame advantage to my knowledge The high teleport puts you on top of the opponent after most blockstrings, which makes for a good mixup, but if they anticipate it i'm sure they can find a reasonable way to poke you out. If you're pressuring with forward teleport you have to play a nice little game of footsies or cover yourself with an assist to make up for the fact that the spacing isn't perfect. Once you learn the spacing though you can bait people into taking more damage with a well placed crouch attack, as opposed to Toki who doesnt bother trying to bait you at all. However, Wesker is just as easy to learn as Toki and the counter super is pretty damn good (and DHC'able to be safe, though i never bother). Zero has shorter teleports so he can keep up Toki pressure for a longer period of time, but it's much more risky since none of his teleports are invincible, they're completely readable (he's still visible on screen), and he is a total glass cannon unlike Wesker. Speaking of 3 dudes in chairs they really should have put in Prof X. "And what do they call you? Wheels?"

As an all-around consumer device I think Kindles were subsumed by tablets before they even really got their chance to shine, which is kind of a shame since their prices are dropping like mad (sub-150 right?) I mean, I personally still would rather dead tree over Kindle for millions of reasons, but with some clever product positioning Kindles can still probably exist for a comfortable niche of users. The problem is, that niche is going to get pretty small now if/when smartphones get more popular/powerful. The only people I know who bought Kindles were early adopters and they probably moved on to other things once that became old hat. Mainstream consumers don't know or care what the Kindle can do for them (and recognize that paper is much more disposable / low-cost everyday mental investment), and tech enthusiasts have moved on to something better. Which is a problem since more discerning tech enthusiasts are probably the main demographic for this device nowadays. They're either a) the kinds of people who buy TI-83's for shits and giggles and b) really discerning power users / feature maximizers on a budget. The problem is, these are demographics who give a shit about tech and are willing to invest time in it, while still working off a limited budget; the average tech enthusiast either has a lot of money to spend or foolishly burns money on stupid first-gen technologies beyond his means. lollllll

I'm not really sure how it works but you get a certain number of points every time you play any mode. Me and Mike were mostly in mission mode. I finished the game once in arcade mode and I think I got the same amount of points as the equivalent time spent in training / mission. You end up spending a pretty long time in mission mode partially because of the challenge, but also because there's no quick restart button. It's really annoying when you activate xfactor and drop the rest of the combo, since xfactor lasts a good 10-20 seconds or so.

leaks from mike's apartment: (random comment about black people and marvel crack) Anyways I gotta say the mission mode is kinda strange. The standard characters have some pretty damn hard combos but Sentinel and Magneto's combos are ridiculously easy. For example, the hardest sent combo in mission mode is probably still easier than the most basic fast fly setups in mvc2. And magneto can airdash cancel for at least one or two dead easy relaunches; that mechanic is essentially no different from mvc2 but the leeway you have on every hit is enormous. Oh and Doom can loop molecular shield in combos with the right assists. That was incredibly hard compared to rocket punch OTG death combos.
