  1. -Normals are mediocre compared to Mitsuru, Yu, Aigis, Chie, etc. so it's pretty easy to get "randomed" out even by technically weaker players, forcing us to be the better player. -Dead in like 2 or 3 good combos so you can't make any serious mistakes, which is pretty easy to make since again, Naoto can get "randomed" out. -No real mixup aside from the super risky 236A~B that any opponent can DP out. -VERY reliant on traps, so characters who can disrespect it for free such as Yosuke or Labrys will make it harder for you. -Probably has the worst "overall" matchups in the game. While she has an advantage over Kanji and maybe Chie and Labrys on neutral, all it takes is one mistake (a common one being missing the Aim shots) and we're holding on to dear life as opposed to those characters where they can make numerous mistakes but have a chance to turn it around. Generally, playing as Naoto forces you to learn the game and other characters more in general since you have to respect so many of their options and know numerous appropriate responses to them and it's pretty hefty IMO.
  2. It's not that I'm not capable of making the drive, let's just say that I'm still at that that point in life with my parents where there's a sort of "invisible" curfew set, so if I were to leave at 4:30 to get there right when the event starts, but then to be home at around midnight, I only have 4 hours to play/hang out. If it happened earlier, I would've gone #excuses
  3. After a knockdown, try to do a meaty attack and Naoto will get CH'd since there's start up on the first 4 frames (or 3?). Moving back a bit so that they'll roll right in front of your face is something some smarter opponents have done on me as well. Oh and SB Aim ver. Netplay is unavoidable anyway so don't bother.
  4. Some friends of mine guilt tripped me into going with them to watch Django Unchained so I went with them so yeah sorry. Great movie btw. Anyway I really hope nothing comes up when Saltmines comes back, and as for Sanoshi's event, I don't think I can go, what with it starting pretty late considering how it's a 2 hour drive for me.
  5. Oh Thank God! Anyway Roa, I can give you a ride if I'm going.
  6. I just asked her about it, anyway I'll be waiting for Jinxhand's address.
  7. Apparently that's what she said on her FB a while back.
  8. I might go, but I also have plans to go to Sanoshi's place the following day as well.
  9. Merry Christmas guys, hope to see you all again soon!
  10. It's nice of you to upload the tracks on Youtube for those who aren't aware that a rip of the OST is out, but do you really want to risk losing your channel? After seeing what happened to Jourdal's channel (RIP), it'd be a shame if we lost yours as well, despite how mostly everybody is hype for BBCP now and not UNIB, due to uploading music. /2pennies
  11. Waiting for the OST to finally release after hearing how great UNIB's music sounded gave me nostalgic memories of how I first heard how MBAA sounded and was dying to hear the soundtrack, especially the character select theme back in September 2008, and then finally the OST released later on August of the following year. Needless to say that my ears orgasm'd.
  12. Don't lie, ALL of us were lurking that thread these past few days.
  13. You shouldn't even be pressing any buttons when blocking against Mitsuru in general unless you're gdlk and can throw tech or F-Action on reaction.
  14. Tig-o-bitties AND uses a style of Iaido that is considered to be too fast and unrealistic as well!? You know Japan will sign up on that. /jokejoke
  15. We can always have one of our setups be for BB lol. Also, any of you guys planning to go to UCSD Winter Game Fest this year? It's a nice way to get more people to join us, as IIRC, was how Watermelonz and Buddy met Kevin.

  17. Assuming I'm going to Saltmines tomorrow, I'll go ask the guys running Saltmines to let them know that we're interested in going there on Fridays. However, I'm assuming the catch is that in the case that most of us are busy on any week and can't play games, then we'll have to remind the guys who own the place in advance that we won't show up, because it would kind of suck for the guy who's scheduled to watch over us on Fridays just show up for nothing if we decide to cancel last minute due to some unexpected event, but I'm pretty sure it won't come to that. Anyway are any of you guys picking up/relearning GG? Been grinding this game for the past two days and I forgot how much I loved this game so much when I first started playing back in 06-07 with friends. Playing A.B.A at the moment btw.
  18. Ugh, this so much. Mizuumi has a couple dedicated to a bunch of poverty games, P4A included, so why not Dustloop as well?
  19. Finals are over, though I don't think I can come over tonight, but do any of you guys plan to go to Saltmines next Monday? And rjt posted this interesting piece of news in one of the SD threads in SRK's Pacific West subforum. What do you think guys? It could be another place we could host casuals if necessary.
  20. Went to my friend's house for his 21st birthday party and while we were all drinking, we decided to boot up the 360 and use his little brother's XBL account to troll online and we all decided to I should play. Managed to get up his PSR up to a little over a 100. So yeah, GGs to everybody I played online, whether you go to Dustloop or not, oh and the XBL account was "Mark The Mage."
  21. GGs to EmptySodaCans, if you're here on DL. Thanks for reminding me that... 1. I should stay away from online. 2. I'm an idiot for attempting to play P4A on pad. 3. Teaching me that Kanji can immediately F-Action after a whiffed super grab. 4. That the Naoto vs. Kanji matchup being in Naoto's favor is seriously on paper only. Other than that, I did find a new way to approach the matchup.
  22. You're a bit late to the party.
  23. So does that mean there were only 3 players playing for 3 hours? /jokejoke
  24. Can't go this weekend, got an essay and two finals to study for, but I'll definitely try to go to the next one. I'll even bring my PS3 if TsukiBaka can go as well to bring his monitor.
