  3. Since KHR:BA2 didn't work out, I got into this game. I main Allenby's Nobel Gundam, time to bring this game back.

  5. Wow, BA1's movement is fucking old school SF2 style. No airdashes and NO FORWARD OR BACKDASHES. And I'm gonna give the 3D game a go maybe tonight or tomorrow.

  8. WTF for real? Well here's to hoping that they'd make a Battle Arena 3 though I kind of doubt it since I found out that Marvelous made another PSP Reborn game a few months after Battle Arena 2 and it's a whole new fighter and they ditched the 2D fighting, which is a sign that they're not gonna come back to the Battle Arena series anytime soon. And the fact that the anime is over and the PSP is gonna die soon with the Vita coming soon doesn't help at all. Guess we can try to get the xlink guys to support this game and see how it goes from here, I dunno. Also, I suppose we can try Battle Arena but I hear that game is sluggish compared to this game.

  12. Oh wow good find. Shit would make both Goku's the best 2 characters in the game if it weren't for Groggy State having a larger pushback. Also, not sure if you noticed or not (you probably have, since you look like you've been finding more stuff than me) but in some cases if a j.C connects and it triggers Groggy, input another j.C and it will actually connect since attack initiating Groggy state not only pushes back the opponent more but also puts them in more hitstun.

  14. Good lord. You mean to tell me that handsome cowman has REVERSE BEATS? And lol, guess you've been using Chrome as a dummy to see which combos can kill her in one shot like me as well? Poor Chrome, it's funny because she's been "booru'd" more than the other girls in Reborn! Anyway off to find more broke shit and read the manga. Also, is there a way to punish a Tsuna who just flashkicks all day? Seems that the pushback it gives to the defender pushes them far enough so that they can't capitalize it. Only times I punished it was timing a meaty grab on wakeup since grabs have clashing properties as well for some hilarious reason but that's not 100% reliable.
  15. As a matter of fact, I do have another Ethernet cable, just found out lol. So how does it work? The computer the cable is connected to and the PS3 are in separate rooms.

  18. Wow I'm so slow. This game allows you to customize your character with different accessories and color palettes, like in Tekken 6. There's even a save replay option. Anyway is there any explanation with clashing in this game? While it's hilariously funny, there's sometimes trades that happen that are just downright stupid. And is there an easier way to gain meter? I find it dumb that you don't gain any when getting hit. And damn this game's music so fucking catchy.
  19. IIRC, you don't need Japanese AHP to play Japanese PSP games online, just good old AMERICAN AHP is good enough.

Been playing it again for a bit and both Takeshis are really interesting characters to play as since they're not combo oriented like the majority of the cast but their source of damage is their long ranged and high damaging pokes. Playing both as them and against them is a test of your footsie game. I'm also loving how some of the moves are similar/borrowed from other fighting games, Tsuna's flash kick from Guile, Ginger Bread's aerial broom attacks are similar to Twelve from 3S and Arakune's aerial attacks, TYL Dino is clearly Dhalsim and Gamma is Venom. And after playing for a while, it seems that Lal Mirch is the character I'm going to be playing as a lot since I like her playstyle the most I like her for her dat ass and Zettai Ryouiki. xlol, where do you live? If you live near me (SoCal) we could play some Ad Hoc for the broken lulz.

Whiff attacks until you have at least half of the Assist Meter gauge, hit ATTEMPT to hit your opponent while dodging over and over again, if you mange to hit your opponent with a Brave Attack, call your assist for a combo into an HP attack for guaranteed damage assuming your opponent doesn't have a full EX gauge or half of their Assist meter filled, and then start the cycle all over again.
  22. Lol yeah I thought so. And I've been trying to figure out how to maximize the number of hits that TYL Kyoya's needle ball super will give him. That shit is gdlk. Yes, most normals are useless due to how you can't chain into them or chain into specials or supers so their only use IMO is for footsies and spacing. And Christ Tsuna is so stupid, command grab for max meter and it's not that hard to grab an opponent. And really? Squalo is good? Haven't figured out any good shit with him, maybe I haven't played as him that much.
  23. Hallow Bankai Ichigo and Hitsugaya, j.O and XXO all day, err day. Seriously, I played HtS7 at a "high level" with a few of my friends, and all it consisted of was seeing who can score a knockdown first since charging Reiatsu is a gdlk Oki in that game.   24. This is actually a decent anime fighter on the PSP. I just picked up this game and it's really enjoyable (assuming you have people to play with) even if you don't know the source material like me. The gameplay is a nice mix between footsie oriented fighters and combo oriented fighters since there's no airdashing and airblocks, but there's chain combos though not the "normal" kind in the sense that you can't do A > B > C but you can do A > B or A > C in most cases. It should be mentioned that the game is unbalanced in the sense that not everybody has a combo that can deal over 50% damage or a "flexible" combo repertoire as shown with Future Hayato and a handful of others or grabs that can take a third of your health away, but most, if not all characters can still succeed if you play intelligently, and it's still enjoyable for me personally since the high damage combos encourages smarter play and footsies; make one mistake and you eat a high damage combo and/or Okizeme. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TrCi9RGFESw Ad Hoc Party anybody?
