It's Delayed.... well you want for the opponent to drop.. welll I'm uncertain myself since i use it as a reversal but you do delay it... in other cases you just combo into D swords into TK crsecent and do a combo that way. oo do you go to boxhill timeout now?   2. she's always had good melee potential, to be more blunt because of the changes in BB CS people are forced to melee more due to the remove of several jump cancel of her D swords. Melee is still a strong fort for lamdba with TK feint so its really no surprise. I'm going to say this but nu has always been good at melee, they simply didn't take the focus off zoning they just nerf it like for example they didn't magically bufff her melee ability infact its worst than BB CT Nu. 6C CH remove, if that was in CT it would be a deadly aresenal to her combo. 2C CH? I can't remember it it still lifts on CH. beside that point a lot of her good C moves are now slower, reliance on 6a AA isn't her best strengh but its managable.
  3. If you really want to beat noel artistically, learn to block and react to 6b and 2d which are two of her common mix up. After that punish accordingly. I've gotten use to using reversal gravity vs noel d string in bb cs. lol, can't provide much input since BB CT is the past for most of us. note: you can be agressive after a KD since the advantage is yours to begin with and with BB CT property everything is Jump cancal at least so you can retreat safely if your mix up fails. Nu is strongers in her TK Crescent Saber range since your opponent are required to approach more causious or will eat a large RC combo. Of course you can annoy them with lots of TK crescent saber into nothing.
  4. Let me make a bold statment.... First Im guessing you would have control issues refering to controling air space in these cases. At the basic level your roll is to keep noel from approaching safely. If she is able to ja/jc at a safe melee range you should aim to create more space. In some cases D swords jump cancel into backwards Airdash jdd or j2dd depending. but besides that 6a has head invul, it impossible for it to be beaten since the invul is active after 5 frames if done properly. There area few counters if you can predict noel movement one is Air grab since nu has superior air grab range you can punish high verticle distance or AD distance. the next one is back dash.
  5. or you can tank and make rachel waste all her wind for a nice 2k damage then retaliate for 4k damage off 2a ^^. see who wins in the end. For me having no damage is just terrible and worst than low tiers its beyond dissapointing. Welcome BB bridget enjoy some nice hit and run into 1.2k and time out. playing the guessing game right 10 times vs someone who only needs to learn 3-4 combo.. well in the end it doesn't matter with the scrub scene since people don't block xD and you will die a painful death trying to land that 10 combo.
  6. The idea behind 2c is changing the hit box... you how tao can crawl under things.... tech roll, delayed aren’t much of an option since you know gadget finger... I didn't quite catch why you thought limit the argument to slide head alone is the best way to resolve something yes arguable its the right tool that will do its job correctly but also causes problem which I find irking. when in fighting game it’s really about encompassing the entity of the character and what it allows that characters to follow up with. New Gauntlets Hades is rather disgusting allow to hit crouching opponent although serving its intention it also jumps over low and allows ragna to deal massive damage of it. For this example giving one application allows a series of follow up that are in tagers advantage. The question is can people get out of it, they probably can but it’s not a pretty sight. Tired, back to farming on aion..... This is a Nu thread.... anyway... again even with slide head potemkin had disadvantage matches vs zoning class, dizzy, venom, bridget. It just gave him an edge over other characters.. slayers, baiken and other rush down type. I still going back to my old statement you can't remedy the match up since zoner will always have a pure advantage over grapple unless you make tager godly and weaken the others.

Slide heads in gg already prorated moves by 90% I don’t even see why it’s not possible to do large of it. Did you really believe it was intended for combo? Are you trying to tell me it’s fair and won’t be abused. 1. Hammer fall cancel was unnecessary as you've been trying to avoid my point. The weakness in hammerfal in gg was that there was only one version with a set range. The cancel works by shortening the distance or to choosing a cancel. Sledge A can be used as a range negotiator in this case. I don't see how it can't be achieve with Sledge A from range KD or via jumping. 2. Think you’re forgetting the main point of tech roll that it’s punishable, what gives you confidence to say that slide head can't pick up rolls giving a reset into combo. Again playing with unknown mechanic but if OTG black beating with slide head was an option forcing people to neutral tech it is still in tagers favour plus gadget finger already gives him a pseudo okizeme. 3. Upper body invul isn't a necessity as Nu 2c had no invul of course thats another issue but there are simple ways to work around the need for having random invul in place. The purpose is a range KD which allows him to easily move in. Achieving its purpose and making it easy isn't an application of balance. The untechable time is too long that is unneeded. Why don’t you try an answer my question instead why would you think it’s fair? When other alternative is better. And yes I think you’re taking slide head too lightly and not thinking far enough of the repercussion.
  8. there wasn't much a need, and yes slide head is brain dead.... the mechanic allows upper the knee invul and situational combo.. the OTG effect is too large. Do you dare say tager can't get a decent 4k of an unblockable. If Slide head worked the same way as in GG you could make it spamable... Tager already has a Atomic collider combo that OTG picks, the same combo can be use to gave tager the same effect. Hammer cancel isn't a neccesity, tager is not as great as potemkin but he is no push over when he's in your face. I believe you're wrong as it does create an unstopable entry more than likely it will just let scrubs spam it as their game play. Did you also cheer for hakumen 4c as a way to approaching zoner? or stop people from getting in. Slide has 3 areas that makes lame while tager can capitalised on it. Invulnerbility, untech frames and the quick recovery. Why wouldn't it make tager gay....
  9. the basic reason include an alternative A sledge couple with gadget finger allows a pseudo form of potemkin greatness where Tager doesn't have to work vs hard to get in on people.. achive the close range combat is tager A game from there he doesn't need to do much in terms of mix up.... Whats argueable is giving characters with large damage and unthrow techable move an easy way to get in on people.. its same way I would treat arakune... I rather seem them work for their way in. Tager A game will always be close range remove the difficulty and you will get a characters with no flaw. Even hakumen changes and over buff has made him an ugly character... while hakumen players will be delights its disgusting in many way. you don't try to correct nature, it’s a characters flaw that already existed... like I said previously you will have to make tager extreme gay to have some sort of balance or weaken his opponent not be able to zone or do damage. I rather they gave tager the flick which adequately compensate this flaw directly while not trying to mangle the other melee cast. Slide head is universal where its godly it affects everyone and his entire match up, Potemkin flick only deals with projectile base attack which in essence deals with the innate flaw vs zoner. What you suggest doesn’t fix an issue it only causes and imbalance you’re trying to fix the root but creating more problems.
  10. its probably the wrong place but slide head is broken... there isn't a need to further discuss where a character will be broken or not.. Heat has a different level of epic brokeness due to its large tension gain plus okizeme followed after. You know after slide head a character would be immoblized on the character for god knows how long given tager all the time he needs to hammerfall cancel into combo.. which is utterly silly even from full screen. Slide head is not the alternative that achive balance.
  11. Slide head would just make everything gay.. not just vs zoner but everyone... unblockable ground BS..... Thats isn't fixing its making an imbalance attack broken.. E.g. SLide head didn't fix his match up vs Bridget ^^, aerial summons for the win.
  12. there is no way to fix tager match up except making the zoners rachel CS tier... its a character flaw that exist in many fighting games... Grapples has always had trouble vs zoners. Unless you make the grapple extreme gay and zoner extreme weak there is no remedy.
  13. seems like theres nothing to fear with 3k reversal gravity damage on hakumen.. so be interesting from now on.
  14. To me all characters are tools in a sense its just me extending my familiarity and be able to make the character move as I want. New lambda isn't vastly different just she has different tools and limitation on her.. block strings into far low can be replace with arc pulsar that hits low since the concept is still there doing a low mix up from range although different in some way.
  15. Adapting isn't an issue its more of an excuse some players have. There are players that learn multiple character but the core behaviour (using mix up, frame traps ectera....) doesn't change... her 5dd into 4dd only works on crouching.
  16. Do people realise guard crush is porated... While I'm unsure of the numbers its around 60% with lambda already nerf damage you're not going to deal major damage to anyone but as a way to chip people HP when less than 20% it is somewhat useful allowing setting up pressure.
  17. but you know rachel isn't a joke character.... its rather degrading. Losing mix up off certain nerf wasn't the end of the world when I first read through the loke test result but the damage nerf is just breaking my heart... who ever imagining working hard for fancy combo spending 50% of your bar to do an extra 900 damage or so and barely breaking 3k damage overall..... Ragna ABC special does more than rachel spending her entire wind.
  18. thats probably due to her guard breaking move to me.... are slow... like you can literally just easily jump... after block stun from 5dd... to be more exact nu/lambda lost her infinite mix up by removing jump cancel off 5dd, 4dd and 6dd. Jump cancel allow her with an infinite possibility (figure of speech).
  19. I'm a firm believe that reversal shouldn't go into large damage, it is meant for escaping pressure. Not to pwn your opponent, while I would love for it to do large it will makes the game stagnat if people are always baiting to the point staring is safer. It's going to end it with other hakumen where everything goes into large even reversal which is a silly idea when you give moves so much invul for no tension.
  20. The nu haters ^^, 2b gatling into 5b? i know 2b 2c works... and 5b can be gatling into 2b which is mix up oppotunity to go into 4b or 2b, then you have tk cresent whiff into grab. since gravity reversal does little damage people won't complain about it like litchis staff doing 3k xD
  21. thats if your assuming no poration or done naked with soemone standing in your three pole.. frog has lots of poration too dropping it down by 2k easily... while its good damage comparable to rachel overall damage.... its sad overall that Bang super does the same damage in combo with poration... well rachel probabaly does less than high grade super such as bang or hakumen.

  24. I don't know why you're getting your panties in a knot for. You honestly believe people are using time out because it’s valid? In most cases people do want to win and end it quickly but here you have characters that have a low and average DPS overall... If you watch Top Tier (TT) character play the matches move along faster due to being able to output the higher damage. People only go into time out strategy in most cases because they didn't realise it themselves. There is nothing wrong with turtle in general while I find it dissatisfying it doesn't mean everyone will adopt this strategy... unless its sf4 with turtle galore and yes people play sf4 which is turtle game... ever seen a full fireball zoning match..
  25. Some people seem to believe time out are intentional... while it could bear some truth it is not in honesty... nu doesn't deal a lot of damage as she used to and given the fact that the TT in BB CS can deal a lot of damage you will need to play it safe.
