  3. 02/14 Game Chariot - Jin Birthday Tournament (NO AUDIO) Ryo-ta (Bang) vs GUCCI (Noel) GUCCI (Noel) vs. Ko-ji (Ragna) Buppa (Jin) vs. GUCCI (Noel)
  4. It's gotta be an attack that angled up, I'm guessing?
  5. Just ask around. My friend had the same dilemma here, since he accidentally ordered 2 copies from different times of the year. He was able to find someone also hype for the game.
  6. I'm one of these guys. :3 I have her as my anchor. Just stocking up the meters and go to town with Astral Vision shenanigans. Also, Shadow Servant > XFC > Darkness Illusion is such a sexy combo!
  7. My friend plays Wesker/Dormammu/Doom and he got pretty far in the tournament here. Dormammu's S-attack works wonders against air-dashers since the hitbox is really high and it lasts for quite a long time. He's also benefits from an easy air-combo > KD > OTG special > Super that does really big damage.
  8. Nice. I also started with KOF since my uncle owned a Neo Geo. I've held local tournaments for KOF at the arcade I used to work at, so I'm really hoping to start it up again if XIII comes around. As for MvC3, all the players in my area play on 360, so I may end up practicing with them. I'll get both eventually. And the 360 gets a more spread of players since that's what most people have. PSN has really good players, but you'll hit an insane pocket of bad players before you get to good ones. Either way, just play with people who you know are good, and use the others as a way to experiment.
  9. Oh man, if that hits, then I'm probably not gonna play anything else for a while... Anyway, seems like 360 is where everyone is going to get MvC3, so I may also do that. I'll get both eventually.
  10. Man, power outage impeding my progression of this game. Also, I think the connection problems I had last night were a sign of things to come. Also, GGs to everyone is Chaos_Kalibur's room last night. I noticed my internet randomly dropping, and my house was hella cold yesterday with no heater + coldsnap.
  11. Ok, I think I'm gonna stick with default Thunder Saki. Thunder supers fit my style of play, and just gotta work on the clash DP reactions.
  12. I'm down. I played some matches yesterday, and AH3 system is making a noob out of me. Stupid free homing dashes... I just gotta get used to it I guess.
  13. OK, finally got my copy in since I did ghetto shipping. I've been itching to play some people, so now I'm good to go. Please, be gentle... :P
  14. Well, I guess some RockStar can heal any of that frustration then. But wow, that's some goal there. gl;hf

  15. Challenges on Halo:Reach? Something you decided on yourself or another thing?

  16. He was at the gathering at the store, but he didn't play AH3. He keeps talking about taking breaks from fighting games in general, but he keeps coming back to them. I asked him if he wanted to try it out, but he mainly wanted to play SSF4. Our next tournament is going to be on February 19. It won't have AH3 as part of the line-up, but we could probably have some sort of side or casuals for it if enough people show interest. Just check here for the details.
  17. Sure do hope so. San Antonio has some people interested in it, but I usually have to encourage them to show, or hold casuals at my place. Initiating them to actually play is the hard part of it.
  18. Yeah, I still waiting on mine own copy also. I can do all the theory fightin I want, but that can't possibly satisfy my need to play. For sure I wanna play some guys here once I get it.

  19. That's about the distance I am from Austin. Sadly, I don't have any time to make a trip over there. I'm hoping that the fight nights that are being done by a local store continues to support AH3, as well as anything else that isn't SF. We already have an scene for SF, but increasing out numbers for AH3 and BB would really help out our community, and myself in getting better.
  20. Which part of TX? Having more TX peeps is always good for AH3.
  21. I find it is usually where you hit that 6C that may cause you to drop the combo. Make sure that the opponent is right where the guns are during the 6C animation. If you catch them on the top of the guns, you'll have to adjust the combo so that you can finish it, probably using sj.D instead of 5D. Once you get the feel and the look of the 6C, the rest of the combo should fall into place. Also, the dash-6C doesn't have to be done at the fastest possible moment. You can actually delay it a bit so that you get the correct height for the 5D > d.6B to catch.
  22. Buppa opts for cross-up 2D as a pseudo-overhead and never does real ones. I suppose since 2D is faster and causes problems of blocking it is more suited to act like one. I need to start doing this myself. Also, at 12:15, Buppa hits a throw reject miss, then folows up with a whiffed 22C into a dash cancel. This could possibly be a way to punish forward techs into big damage, or used like he did here and cover some ground that the throw created. Throughout the videos, I'm liking Noel's normals game more and more.
  23. For the most part, I use RCs to reduce the risk trying to fish for high output starters. Also, it good to throw it in every now and then during Drive pressure, but most of it can be DP'ed and not allowing you that opportunity.
  24. I've started using d.2D > RC > 3C. Work really well for combos that don't begin with a knockdown, so you can haida mid-combo.
  25. I'd like to see that also. They play at the same locations too, so it's really surprising that they haven't played against each other yet. Maybe they just haven't been together during the times that they have recorded videos.
