  1. Challenges on Halo:Reach? Something you decided on yourself or another thing?

  2. He was at the gathering at the store, but he didn't play AH3. He keeps talking about taking breaks from fighting games in general, but he keeps coming back to them. I asked him if he wanted to try it out, but he mainly wanted to play SSF4. Our next tournament is going to be on February 19. It won't have AH3 as part of the line-up, but we could probably have some sort of side or casuals for it if enough people show interest. Just check here for the details.
  3. Sure do hope so. San Antonio has some people interested in it, but I usually have to encourage them to show, or hold casuals at my place. Initiating them to actually play is the hard part of it.
  4. Yeah, I still waiting on mine own copy also. I can do all the theory fightin I want, but that can't possibly satisfy my need to play. For sure I wanna play some guys here once I get it.

  5. That's about the distance I am from Austin. Sadly, I don't have any time to make a trip over there. I'm hoping that the fight nights that are being done by a local store continues to support AH3, as well as anything else that isn't SF. We already have an scene for SF, but increasing out numbers for AH3 and BB would really help out our community, and myself in getting better.
  6. Which part of TX? Having more TX peeps is always good for AH3.
  7. I find it is usually where you hit that 6C that may cause you to drop the combo. Make sure that the opponent is right where the guns are during the 6C animation. If you catch them on the top of the guns, you'll have to adjust the combo so that you can finish it, probably using sj.D instead of 5D. Once you get the feel and the look of the 6C, the rest of the combo should fall into place. Also, the dash-6C doesn't have to be done at the fastest possible moment. You can actually delay it a bit so that you get the correct height for the 5D > d.6B to catch.
  8. Buppa opts for cross-up 2D as a pseudo-overhead and never does real ones. I suppose since 2D is faster and causes problems of blocking it is more suited to act like one. I need to start doing this myself. Also, at 12:15, Buppa hits a throw reject miss, then folows up with a whiffed 22C into a dash cancel. This could possibly be a way to punish forward techs into big damage, or used like he did here and cover some ground that the throw created. Throughout the videos, I'm liking Noel's normals game more and more.
  9. For the most part, I use RCs to reduce the risk trying to fish for high output starters. Also, it good to throw it in every now and then during Drive pressure, but most of it can be DP'ed and not allowing you that opportunity.
  10. I've started using d.2D > RC > 3C. Work really well for combos that don't begin with a knockdown, so you can haida mid-combo.
  11. I'd like to see that also. They play at the same locations too, so it's really surprising that they haven't played against each other yet. Maybe they just haven't been together during the times that they have recorded videos.
  12. I don't think there is unless it's relatively close to the wall. I believe you would be running at the same speed that they are sliding, so you won't be able to do anything from a mid-screen slide.
  13. Mine just shipped! And, beating someone who apparently play more more than I did a good number of times made me feel real confident in picking up this game. ...Still, few friends... The Loner I Will Be...

  14. For the 66C, it's the timing of when you can move after Spring Raid recovers. I normally wait until the peak of the arc before inputting the 66. Also, watch for the distance so you don't whiff it. As for 22B > 22BC, I input 22BC when 22B is still in animation. Once you get your feel, it'll become second nature.
  15. True enough, but with one burst it's quite possible, and maybe even 7k with that.
  16. That'd take some well timed DD's while in the auto Heat gain portion of HP. Also, the Haidas would need to be tweaked so we can maximize the amount of Heat gain alongside that.
  17. I think the combo was based primarily on the proration numbers. GBs at the beginning of the combo make the following couple of hits do significantly more damage and since the combo proration hasn't kicked in to drop combos, it's easier to haida for the meter gain.
  18. INCOMING!!! That Gold Burst Combo we were discussing! Yeah...right here...10.5k http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GiIazm2YMxA Impractical, but at least there is a way to GB combo with her. Seems like corner Haidas are the way to go to maximize the damage for upwards of 8k+.
  19. Still gonna rep that Terra/Tina.
  20. Soon, it'll be time for Saki to reign supreme~!

  21. These were posted before, but I'll time-stamp them here for easier viewing: --------------------- Noel vs. Litchi Noel vs. Litchi 2 Noel vs. Makoto Alright, some more --------------------- Noel vs. Valkenhayn Hakumen vs. Noel Takahashi Vids: Noel vs. Jin Noel vs. Hazama (2 different Hazama's in this video) --------------------- Question: Could we always do 5C > TK Thor? If so, then I'm missing out on some damage possibilities to finish rounds.
  22. Can you go today for the Noel tourney?

  23. That one's for the Asia version. The JPN version is still $79.
  24. They did tweak the Guard Break so that there is more reward for actually getting the guard break. Maybe that's how much more the system can favor Noel now.
  25. Out of the 2, I'd say Plat. If not, then I'm not pedo enough.
