  1. A common suggestion for CSE on PC was to set it to 720p in the game and use your video card to upscale instead. I guess the PS4 game engine is the same and is just set to render in 1080p ingame and you can't change that.
  2. My problem is that I don't barrier much. So I get chip damage, crush triggers and air unblockables. Wanna trade?
  3. IRC to type mumble for voice
  4. Your bandwidth is pretty irrelevant. You just need to have enough for blazblue (which would be in 128kb/s ranges, so little!) and whatever else you're doing on the net at the same time. What's important is your latency to the other player and how stable is that latency. Stability is extremely important, 40ms ping will feel way better than spiky 10-30ms ping for example. Then there's also packetloss which can just screw you over completely and is pretty random (likely source of random freezes). Then of course comes the actual netcode of the game, which can be buggy, yeah. So to prove the awesomeness of your connection you need to show your traceroute to the other player.
  5. I use a hitbox but I started with it so I can't really compare it to a stick. In theory it sounds better to me than a stick though which is why I got it initially.
  6. Had some fun games. Much obvious stuff to improve on.
  7. This one's Makoto vs Hazama.
  8. Thanks for the advice ^_^. I have already watched some of those beginner videos before, I guess I need to finish them all . Hmmm, Xie... was he the one with the sick platinum plays? My execution sure is annoying me. Dashes are hard, 2147c instead of 4c, 6321476c instead of a 632146c, ughhh, 236236d is slow... Then there's knowledge execution, like I KNOW I can cancel most of his specials halfway into another, I know what a burst is, but I just forget to do that. Gotta train, gotta train. In a lot of these my control of the stick/gamepad is to blame, so I was thinking of getting a hitbox since I prefer keyboard style controls. I mean yukikaze is just so fast and reliable on a keyboard for me for example. No random tiger knees either. This game would work fine with that, right? As for my combos, well... didn't practice any so can't do any real ones. I found the awesome power that are 2c and j.2a on my own though! Connection itself didn't seem to be a problem, no lag in fights. As for amount of people, is BB dead in Europe or something?
  9. Getting rid of first post anxiety... Anyway, I recently got into blazblue, really enjoying it, been mostly playing at my friends(who introduced me to it) place with him since he got CSEX and we can play online. Was thinking of getting a ps3 and CSEX and later CP myself since CT & CS1 (on pc) clearly don't cut it. Blazblue is my first fighter experience (excluding various drunk button mashing casualness) so I'm pretty damn bad and EVERYTHING feels new or weird. So my question is: is there a list of things I need to learn? So far I've been learning a lot of things but they're all over the place with no structure or pattern. Gotta say thanks to this place though - lots of information even if a bit overwhelming for me. I'm getting used to the general feel of the game: UI, controls, moves. Blocking was surprisingly hard for my brain to get around (no blocking in quake :D). I'm maining Hakumen so far. Badass character. Nice simple obvious strong attacks. Pretty defensive. Getting used to range, speed, what counters what (pretty random). A clutch yukikaze feels best <3. Obviously since I don't have CSEX myself yet, my training is limited, but at least I can say I feel like I know what I'm doing when I play and I can plan and adjust. Played online against some people who TRASHED me(and my friends) and it felt good, definitely learned a few things. I heard it's weird that I'm ok with losing :P. Aaand to finish off: it's a good idea to get ps3/BBCSEX, right? There's no conspiracy or anything, correct? I CAN get decent, right? Could you tell me anything bad about anything that I could expect?
