Anyone know if gad leis extends Relius' hitbox? Was wondering if it could be used for a somewhat safe oki without ignis since it has a fairly long range with frame advantage

Great way to start the beginning of a round if you landed your ground hit. 5B>3C>COD>2C>6C>214A>66>236C>214A>41236B>5B>6B>j.B>j.236C>j.214B. 4086 Damage, 29 heat gain, 5000 ignis cost, but better OD levels can cover that up. Carries from midscreen easily, not sure about further distances

If I had taunted in the middle of a match ever, its because I usually assign A+B to R1 and for some reason didn't. Granted, Tao uses her taunt all the time. Ggs to X40's room, seems I got back too late for the party xD and ggs to dark_ranger. Maybe I should learn at least ONE of the new characters. Any idea which one is the least represeted?

Generally I try and keep to long ranges, but I guess I've only ever played rediculous Rachel players like bloodbro4life and this guy yesterday. Yesterday, every time I tried 22C after a full screen 214C, she'd always wind straight into my face and grab me. Same with 214B so nothing was safe Dx sometimes I can block her mixup all day long, other times I cant, but I feel even if I force her to use all her wind for mixup, she just has to throw out one george and use her lightning rods once to get it all back. Are there any points in her pressure that can be mashed or disrespected in any way? I'm not proficient with IBing, so that may be my issue.

Ok, I know this matchup hasn't changed much, but I couldn't deal with it in extend and I cant do it in CP. The second the bitch gets out one rod I've lost. She has every tool available under the sun to bait everything you have, and once you're in the corner, you stay there -_- 214B doesn't work, 214C is too slow, 214A even if it hits doesn't give you enough time before she winds to you and starts up her bullshit

Long Range: Your Tools vs His Tools: Kagura I feel can stomp out most of your ignis moves. Sometimes though, if you think he's gonna do his projectile, a 214C will hit him and give you plenty of time to rush in. Also, because of his slow air dash and ground movement, I think you're fairly safe using a full screen Lugia until he reaches mid range. Medium Range: Your Tools vs His Tools: Thing's feel a bit iffy here for me. Yeah, his drive moves are slow, but so are ours if we don't have ignis, plus his have more range. I'd say either try and get further away or get right up in his face. IAD'ing can work well, but if he stays crouchingm barrier immediately, as he's probably charging that godlike anti air. Close Quarters: Your Tools vs His Tools: Depending who's on the offense, you have your options. Kagura has a lot of mixup options if he's got you under pressure, but if you force him to use a drive move for mixup, Led Ley wins for you if timed correctly. Kagura can't do much though if you have ignis out other than block. I'm not sure how fast Kagura's 5A/2A are, but I feel we should be fine here since our moves in general have better hitbox and startup. Like I said, keep ignis with you. In The Air: Your Tools vs His Tools: Kagura has better A2A without ignis. His C attacks have massive range and can easily hit you out of a j.B or j.C if you're too far. If you're in a closer distance, you should be fine to use any arial normal you like afaik xD Offense Your Offense: New character so far, don't know if there's any character specifics you should be weary about. Cross-ups are a hige gamble in Kagura's favor because of his anti air, but generally he can't do anything about your pressure (much like the rest of the cast) without ignis. If you're doll is running low, try to reset full screen where he has more ways to screw up. His Offense: Block well, really. Make him forced to use his drive moves to mix you up, then when one comes that isn't the command grab, Led Ley. He can't do drive followups on wiff, so he'll be forced to stick to his normal high/low game with 5/2B and 6A and give up his pressure. However, if he gets his hit, you will be forced to the corner and you will have to deal with his amazing projectile oki. Do not ley on wake-up in the corner as obvious as that sounds xD Defense Your Defense: Abuse Led Ley on his drive mixup till he tries that command grab. Then when he does, jump and hit him with a falling j.B. On defense there isnt much else since we don't have a huge defense game and 2C loses to a well timed j.C from kagura. His Defense: Avoid crossups, if you really are having issues with getting him open, use tick throw and TRM situations. Trying a crossup is sticking your foot in a paper shredder with his anti-air around. You could make it work with 2D, but that sorta telegraphs a crossup. Gimmicks and Resets Don't know much here, he's a brand new character. Some.of you guys might be better suited for filling this out. Match Summary I'd say it's fairly even. While we have various methods of getting in on him, the range of his normals amd his anti air give us hell when it actually matters. On pressure, we're forced to give up crossups, but he's forced to be extremely careful with his drive mixup or worry about wiffing through led ley.

This is beside the point but still relating to your post, I think most of us Relius players here are pretty cool, so I doubt we'll be starting any flame wars here. Cant say much for newer people though.

I'll give you a short answer of I feel its even or barely in our favor, i had a series of matches against a good Azrael today and it didn't seem too bad, but lets save the discussion for the actual threads

Corner combo, any good starter 5B>3C>236C>214A>66AB>5C(1)>j.C>j.236C>j.214B>j.B>2C>6C>41236C>4D>3C. 4978 damage, 23 heat, 3000 Ignis. Micro-dash CT seems to be the way to effecientlg use your heat for damage compared to ending in 632146D. Only does ~300 less damage. If you have the heat you can end in distortion to get 5500-6000 damage though RYO grade flashy as hell combo xD 2B>5B>6D>5B>236C>214A>2C>6C>214C>2C>41236C>6B>j.236C>5C(2)>2C>4D ~3400 damage ~22 heat 4900 ignis. Probably not very practical, but its fawkin RYO. Sorry about values, blurry video COD7 midscreen HUGE corner carry 5B>3C>COD>2C>6C>214A>214B>214C>66>6B>j.B>j.236C>4D>3C 3933 damage, 28 heat, varying ignis meter due to OD. It won't fullscreen, but if you have a longer OD duration it almost will cuz of 214C wallsplat in OD

Indeed, especially since for A to A combat, Rel really needs ignis since his normals, while fast and good air to ground hitbox, don't go very far.

I've been meaning to ask, are there so many players playing ranked that an average player like me wouldn't get some pro every time? I feel like I'd run into more high ranking people than people my lvl since its only sold in japan xD;

The more I look at it, the more comfortable that sega saturn controller looks in playability and price xD anyone ever used one of em? I didn't say i wouldn't use somethinif I had it by the way xP iI've already spent $250 on tje ps3 and game, I cant blow anotjer 150 on a controller
