  1. Don't play ragna, but with tk inputs you could always just 8/9214x and get it, but you have to be a lot faster. Personally, its how I do Relius' tk laugher stuff, but might be different for you
  2. Ggs to X40s room again and people in the AL. Think it was... Takanub bein manly with Azrael and Solless doin the same.
  3. Even watching RYO, you notice how patiently he plays this match. While air to air is difficult, it seems like most of the high ranking Relius players like to stay full screen and fish for any kind of hit with j.D moves. Yeah, ignis can get de-summoned quite easily from this, but at least you are making her play a risk/reward game to hit you. I honestly havnt found a good Tao in a long time, so I cant make a lot of judgement calls about this. One thing that's nice is her 6B isn't + on block anymore, but we still don't have many good moves to mash against her. She's S tier for a reason after all xD. Though, I wouldn't say this is one sided in her favor, since she has fewer defenses than us, we catch her and we can really screw her up with her low HP. So after watching our Relius god RYO, I tried to follow what he did through the match vs a lower ranking Tao (which he ultimately lost to sadly). He plays against her sorta like red light green light. Every second she's in the air, ryo stopped instantly and just waited to see if she'd make a move. Every time she was on the ground Ryo dashed towards her with 5B's tryin to land a hit to start pressure. One thing I personally noticed, Tao's like to burst the second they get as much as grazed, so react/bait cautiously.
  4. I need to start learnin my CP Carl, but Relius has been too fun lately. Plus, most of Relius' combos carried or kept a major structure from Extend... so much easier to adapt. Keep screwin up cuz you can't do solo combos midscreen anymore xD;
  5. That's how it always has been with every character vs tager lol. Don't Ley too much either, but backstep seems to work well. Havnt faught alot of tagers, so I don't know much.

  8. I honestly can't get it to work at all if you OD cancel 3C, no idea why though. 3C RC works perfectly but OD cancel doesn't even seem to wallbounce

  10. I dunno, I found it impossible to miss the 236C even if I felt I pressed it too late. Its a cancel, and 236C has a lot of actives to catch them falling. Might be a hitbox issue you have though if it was on a specific character.
  11. Its a max damage, and that happens frequently if you're too close. Its best just to go 41236>4D>3C and keep em in the corner.
  12. I dunno if its every time though, and I'm not an avid Azrael player, but I couldn't get Growler to last through the gap between the laser and the black hole, so you might have to backdash or do double growler or somethin if this happens.

  14. Lol Lich teachin me a nice trick in Relius mirror. Apparently 2C>astral works. Never knew the untech was enough for that. Same with 2C>6C, but that feels more natural to me. You couls take the basic midscreen path and do this. 5B>3C>6D>j.B>2C>6C/astral>astral.
  15. It'd still probably catch people by surprise frequently since they can't actively see their characters being grabbed. And like I said, you could just opt not to do it or to try a TRM. Won't always win, but its a nice shock to any who havnt seen it.
  16. Well, unburstable damage is generally pointless unless its for the kill, so being able to take off 6-7k when the opponent might've thought it'd only do like 3-4k is a great way to seal the round. Yeah, its heavy on the stars, but that possible kill should be worth it.
  17. Better, if you opt for purple grab, it gives you a really easy link into double JP for up towards an extra 2700 unburstable damage. Let the inner scumbag flow free. If they learn, you could opt into j.A>air grab or a TRM or just do your standard combo into strike fall. I'm a Relius main, being evil is my job.

  19. Lol... ultimate douche move, after j.236C>j.214D chain to above the screen... air grab. Might've been said before, havnt spent a lot of time in the Izayoi section. Can go for either a reset or just be that guy who purple grabs off screen.
  20. It could just change the function of the move. Hell, putting out a graviton makes the thing spazz out compared to it just falling. Seems sorta like Tsubaki's j.236D>j.214D or Makoto's comet cannon
  21. Decent time wasting meterless, ignisless corner combo for recharge. j.B>5B>6B>2369C>2C>6C>22A [2177/15%/0] Doesnt give a lot of damage or heat, but will allow a full ignis meter recharge in the corner, and almost full recharge if in blue state. Plus, its a safejump oki, who doesn't like that?

  24. The Neutral Game Long Range: Your Tools vs Her Tools At this range, if she's grounded, you can ruin her graviton setup with 22C or 214C. Arial she can send out one or the other easily, but it still takes a bit of time to get it out. Use 214A into j.D moves to try and catch her while staying away from her if she gets the fireball out. You don't wanna block that fireball. A minor thing to note is the tager beam, but if you barrier or just regular block, unless you're almost dead, is punishable. Medium Range: Your Tools vs Her Tools This is where I feel we dominate her. All of her normals have short reach except for her 3C. You do have to worry about running into random traps though, don't give her a free oki setup. Your 5B beats just about everything else if appropriately spaced. Close Quarters: Your Tools vs Her Tools She has no reversal really. This range is still comfortable to us, but now she also has access to her faster moves. Her 5B has a few frames of foot invul I believe, so be careful with 2A/B. Her A trap is also relatively quick if you're not paying attention, but this seems risky for her if you just slap A on her face. In The Air: Your Tools vs Her Tools Here, without ignis she has better air to air. Her j.B, j.C, and j.2C all have a good range. With ignis, I think j.C is projectile property so j.D can cleave through it. Against her j.B and j.2C, one's fast with decent range and the other is slower with long range. Always be weary of fireballs and gravitons though. Offense Your Offense: Against her, she lacks a reversal, but has a good, moderately fast anti air that can be charged for more head invul. I guess she doesn't completely lack a reversal, with Relius' lockdown, there shouldn't be too much worry over her fireball super. Its got a really short range, but its still something to watch out for. From what I've seen, none of our combos were screwed on her hitbox, so everything is still available to us. Also, not character specific but hers is a tager move, watch out for her astral if she can use it xD Her Offense: I'd think of dealing with her offense close to dealing with a combo of litchi and Rachel. She needs to set up, but she really only gets one use out of it per string. Her 2C is +, but also has a slow start up. She has an instant overhead j.C, but unless there's a graviton on you or 50 meter, she can't combo with it. Do not, I repeat, do NOT get hit by 2C. With 25 heat, you'll lose half your health and be put in the corner. If you see her activate her graviton to save her ass, that's your time to escape. Also, she bas an unblockable setup in the corner with her black hole super, and depending how they're spaced can be either inescapable or not. If they're too close, forward roll. If they're too far, as weird as it sounds, doll punch super. Alot of her combos can go into this, and her 22B oki is op xD. She also has corner crossup powers, so don't forget about the threat of crossups. Defense Your Defense: Ley won't work here that much. Backdashes are dangerous if there's a graviton there, so really you just have to wait for her to cover her ass with a graviton activation. She's got good mixup, and crossup capability, so learn to block? xD and there's always the handy CA. With the exception of a charged 6B and a 2C from Koko, all her moves are minus on block. Learn to use this. UB setup from her can't be beaten if its done right, so just be patient. Her Defense: She's dead. Unless you give her an obvious anti air situation, she has to burst/CA/something to get out. Her 5A is fast, but REALLY short ranged, and her 2A is slow. Her 5B is also moderately quick, but I don't know if she'd use it to poke out of pressure. Gimmicks and Resets Use corner 6C into 236D/j.C setup. Not really a lot, but still. Don't do ot every time since a delayed forward beats it, but that's only one viable option. Match Summary I feel like its another ever so dreaded momentum match, mostly on her part. You stop her from setting up and getting in, she's squishy as hell. This is just my thoughts btw, all come to correct me so I don't think about this incorrectly xD
  25. Yeah, iad j.A... i just like it, no idea why xD. I think the 6B was more of a panic reaction honestly. I hardly ever use that move outside of combos, can't think of why I'd use it here. Dropped combos have happened frequently with pad -_- 2C instead.of 3C comes out a lot. I got uncomfortable because of ragna's long and fast normals xD;
