Is this really an issue? Day 1 I couldn't find any good connection matches, but now I'm not having much of a problem. Maybe living in Cali might have something to do with it, but I had a lot of matches feel like offline yesterday. Well I'll try my luck today later, but yesterday I met 5 people with connections I would call godlike. Too bad 3 of them were scrubs who mashed like crazy. -
Skipping intros does not effect anything to me. But man I when I fought people in Cali, it felt like offline. I could block all of AC Eddie's bs mixups. Well when I did get hit it was obvious that I didn't block low or high etc. I never felt like I was getting hit because of online input. I was pulling off FRC's for the most part, so I'd say it was pretty damn good. 3bars and up is perfect imo. Strangely though, when I vs Japanese players it's unplayable. But usually in other games online netcode I could play Japanese players with minimal lag. I think VF5 had the best code ever in any console game.

I had much better connection today. As long as they are in the same state it should run perfect.

I also think the lag feels worse than other games because the nature of the game itself. I've been too spoiled by games with huge buffer windows and slow gameplay. Blazblue AH3 SF4 etc. Most new fighters have a enormous buffer window and the games playing slower. GG wasn't designed like that, so little lag really feels apparent. Owells nice to know after 5 years of not playing I can still kick ass online, with lag ;/.

Yeah online is pretty lulzy. Reminds me of Capcom games. Unless you live close, forget it. Should of used Arcana Hearts 3 netcode.

I don't quite understand what you're saying. But if you hit someone that is grounded, they can tech upwards or back, so it's is not really a guarantee where they will go. It won't be really reliable in pushing someone into the corner. It could work in a sense, but more than likely you will both be at neutral if you did that at midscreen, losing that offensive momentum.

I only opt for resets instead of KD is when I'm in a position where KD isn't plausible in said combo, and the damage from the combo wouldn't do much. That, or when I feel I can get away with some gimmicks on the opponent. That's the beauty of GG, everyone has their own style of play.

Can someone answer this question I've had for some time. I understand how jump installing works, but sometimes I see chars like Order Sol doing a standing S then super jumping with a jump install stored. What annotation is he doing to get the jump install to work, since normally wouldn't you just jump after a standing S when trying to perform a jump install? Is he pressing 8 then 28 really fast during the S? Since I don't have the game anymore I can't test this out.

Well I know black beat, but if the Cpu was set to tech neutral you wouldn't know if they could of teched out before he hit the floor if it depended on that 1 frame. I do remember doing combos in training mode thinking, "Oh it knockdown, but set to tech forward they teched out before hitting the floor." Well thanks for that info about that, didn't really know how much faster it was.

Wow the untechable time for her j.D is that long in AC? Also correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't forward tech makes you tech out faster or somewhat before you hit the floor? I swear I was told that back in reload but never really studied that. Oh people hate her not because they can't deal with it, but because she forces people outside their comfort zone. She's the only char that you have to think twice before pressuring while she's blocking. Basically she's is annoying, and any Baiken player who says she's not is lying.

Pretty much. General rule of thumb for GG.. if you can get a knockdown you do that, damage only comes first if you land a counter hit/guard meter is high(judgement call still), or if it's going to kill them. Oki and Offense is just way too strong in GG to let it pass up for a bit more damage. That video, you RC'd once lol, but uhh you sure sol couldn't tech that? I haven't played since 2008 so I could be fuzzy on that. Also fuck Baiken. Hate that bitch char.

Wow hit it right on the nail. I couldn't play Blazblue because it played like a shitty version of Guilty Gear. Oh no back to 2008 again.

Well you only have to wait 1 week.. I've been waiting for this since xbox360 was launched. I'll be damned if the xbox version gets delayed past oct 24.

I can't wait for oct 24. I haven't touched GG since 08 or 07, and all this time I haven't played a fighter even close to GG quality. I feel like playing GG in the arcades again, but is there even an arcade that has GG in southern cali anymore? Or anyone that really plays this game still? This gg forum looks dead compared to the last time I came here.

This may seem over simplistic... but what I do is play a 50/50 guessing game. Im not sure how a pro Nu would play. But most decent nu i run across on neutral will either throw sword or up sword. Get into a neutral place 1. If its a 5D just IAD in and fuck her up as much as you can. Try to bait super/burst 2. If its a 6D? 214A for a counter hit. of course if you guess wrong on any of this you're fucked. But I think its better to try to get in then sit back trying to jump / block your way in.

A gimmick thats retarded on many levels... I agree though.. they should of fixed and balanced some other parts. Owells I'll just fuck around with Athena. It was pretty fun to do in the past. command grab in corner, back up bit, psycho ball, k teleport, C, f.K, super or psycho sword. Funny shit to do. -

I was exaggerating a bit about the damage... but yeah its noticeable to me. It could also be because of my characters.. Kyos super isnt even worth doing now imo. Rather play the original 98 than the Ult version. Guess im crazy. Anyone else think SNK not fixing the unblockable projectiles retarded? -
