Sorry about the whole potential scam thing. I also had a feeling that Ken would become playable somehow, but the site that broke the news simply caught my eye because it wasn't Famitsu or any other reputable Japanese gaming site I'd heard of. Also, I checked on Famitsu.com and found nothing new regarding P4U2, though that may simply be because the issue isn't out yet. Anyway, I wonder how the Ken/Koro team will work, mainly Koro's place in their gameplay. Doubt that Koro's gonna be a puppet like Asterius, but that's about as far as I can go and speculate about his role because there's literally no other info at the moment.

You can't say that the same amount of content has been added during those two transitions. Not all of P4U2's currently console-exclusive additions and changes are currently known. Wait until it's out before you start condemning it for having a worse price-to-feature ratio than a game that came out a couple of years ago.

Most of the stuff you're talking about has actually occurred during the transition from P4A to P4U2. New art? The HUD got redesigned, everyone has at least one new move with unique sprites, almost every stage from P4A has been heavily altered (in addition to 5 new stages), 4+ completely new characters, Persona summoning effects have probably been improved... New mechanics? S-Hold, Fatal Recovery, Guard Cancel Rolls, hops becoming useful, SB supers, differences in amount of Persona cards, Shadow type... New modes? P-GP mode, revamped Score Attack, Golden Arena... New story? Don't even start me on that. And remember, we've still got an entire season (and most of another) before release date hits. Atlus isn't even close to done announcing stuff for Ultimax yet.

Though I must note that most fighters that are coming out these days are either indie fighters that can make a profit at sub-$60 prices, attempts at free-to-play which inevitably go horribly wrong, or Street Fighter updates that want to hook in new players, but will sell like hotcakes even if they're priced at $200.

Hold on. I don't think any of the dates on the websites where P4AU preorders are available are quite accurate. The dates shown on the sites could just be arbitrary cutoff dates put in because there's nothing else available.

Very roughly interpreted, it reads, "Shadow Labrys is Labrys's "other self," created when she was dropped into the TV World out of her suppressed emotions. She was accepted by Labrys, but she should have disappeared...?"

No way that could be Adachi. The suit jacket of the person in the anime segment has vertical stripes on it like Kurosawa's new P4A suit. Adachi's outfit doesn't have the stripes, and going off of the arcade mode, this time around he's wearing the same thing he did back in P4.

Argh. Already spotted a Nico vid with the patch active, but it doesn't look like the character select screen has been altered, and if Rise is selected secret character style, the camera never showed the edges of the screen.

Checked out the revamped P4U2 website. Now, I'm sure Rise and Shadow Rise are modes like most other Shadows - literally the only differences between the Rise and Shadow Rise pages are the colors used for outlines and stuff (Rise has blue and yellow, Shadow Rise has only red), there being a link to the page on the other mode and the character artwork. If they were separate characters, they would have different bios. Long story short? Rise bias confirmed.

I don't think Shadow Rise is going to work like Shadow Labrys with Asterius. Famitsu might have been referring to the unique intro she has. Also, Mike Orbs don't seem to last very long and Labrys was DEFINITELY raged before the last hit of the Rise Hand Slaps (she is tinted differently than normal and I can just barely make out the puff of orangeish smoke that denotes Rage). Dunno if that means anything due to the skip inbetween the beginning and end of the super, though.

Is there a Google Doc somewhere with translations for the patch notes?

Eh, I think it looks okay for an Aigis super. Her other two are tame in comparison to the rest of the cast as well. Won't be surprised if they all get ignored for Megido Fire loops again, though.

You're thinking of one of his secret moves, which has a different input from regular DI, takes a full Tension meter and (possibly? dunno for sure) can't be done in regular DI.

I think he'd end up using Orpheus, Orpheus Telos and Messiah, if only because Thanatos is already being used by Elizabeth and I doubt ASW wants to repeat themselves.
